Tilting her head in a characteristic angle of confusion she couldn't help but ask. "What are your methods?" Her voice was childlike and innocent. Within seconds she had returned with some steaming hot coffee. "Would you like me to slip you some alcoholic creamer?" She smirked.

Question smiled. "No thanks, I've had some weird experiences with alcohol in the past, so Stranger's reasoning wasn't that absurd. Besides, I like my coffee plain." He took a sip. "Ah. So, you wanna see it?" He rolled up his sleeves (even if he didn't need to, just to look professional), and then reached over to a small potted plant. He gently plucked a single leaf and held it in front of himself and Regal.
"Now watch." Before their very eyes, the leaf wilted, having been drained completely of the little life force it had held in itself. "Works with animals and humans too, but they aren't as good examples."
He spun his stool to face 'Roxy'. "Look, whoever, I know you're Remus. I'm quite good at recognizing life force. But whatever, I don't really care right now, so continue this charade as long as you want." He spun his stool back to face Regal. "So, why haven't we met before?"

"Hmmph. How very rude." Roxy pouted and took another sip of her wine.
"He seemed like such a gentlemen too."

Emma retreated back into the shadows of her booth, letting the spell run its course.
The magic used on her came from a familiar source, but by the gods it hurt.

Regal watched the plant wither so quickly. "Handy." She commented to him, eying the female Roxy who appeared to have taken some control of Remus's essence. Even she could sense it. "Well, I don't know why you have not seen me, I was often here doing the bidding of my Mistress Vii, but it was not until two nights ago that she gave me the gift." She spoke proudly, the color flushing momentarily to her pale cheeks. "Perhaps you just did not recognize me?" She laughed light-heartedly.

"Ah, well I admit I've seen you before. It's just, I never really talked with you, except for saying thank you and declining an offer of additives to my coffee. Those fangs... nifty conversation-starters, eh?" Question smiled, wondering what it would be like if he had fangs himself.

Roxy finished her wine and and stood up. She quickly fixed her hair and left the tavern. The heat that was emanating from her intensified a bit as she left the tavern.

"Is it? I think this qualifies as my first Vampiric conversation. But as for my opinion of the fangs themselves." Her face grew very solemn and she closed her eyes for a brief moment before speaking again. "It's the most amazing feeling. More complex and tangible than anything I've ever experienced in life. Like I couldn't really see until now." She bubbled happily grinning widely. Raising an eyebrow in his direction she wondered if he was trying to tell her something without saying it directly.

"My ability is pretty euphoric, I have to admit. I can't transfer it, unfortunately, but it still is pretty useful." He sipped his coffee. "I take it that you can detect blood quite well, right? Similarly, I can tell that there are five thousand, seven hundred, and thirty-two insects within a two-hundred feet radius of this tavern."
"So, can I buy you a drink?"

"Good, at least perks like that are.." her voice trailed off for a moment lost in thought again. "Strangely, I can not only smell the blood that flows within the living and any just lying about, but I can also sense it. Like when I look at a human," She turned to look where Emma had just been, "It's like they have a spatial reference in my mind, almost like a radar." She laughed at the absurdness of her words and then nodded at his invitation for a drink, returning momentarily with a stemmed glass of blood wine. "Thank you, but there is no need for money. I always drink for free being Vii's fledgling and sometimes waitress." She wave her small hand airily before adding with a mischievous grin, "Some of those bugs are mosquitoes, oh I'd say four hundred eighty-six of them maybe?" Sipping her drink with an involuntary shiver, Regal set down her glass and looked at him seriously. "It is hard to control?"

Question raised an eyebrow briefly. "Fledgling? Vii's your..." He wasn't certain if she meant that Vii had made her a vampire, or if Vii was a parent. He decided not to ponder that.
"Hard to control? Yeah... it can be. When I first gained the ability, I completely absorbed the life force of a bird that was sitting on my broken body. For the next few days or so, I was on a reign of terror in the Battledome, only finishing my opponents off by draining them of their life. Of course, I was really weak at that time, so it's fairly easy now." He sipped his coffee. "Why do you ask?" He doubted that she was thirsty for blood, but he was curious how his blood would affect her, as it isn't regular human blood.

There was a sound like the booming of thunder and Emma reappeared. The light that brought her there was violet.
Dark blue skin and pointed ears would tell their own story.
Emma of Bainbridge was back.

"Yes, Vii made me a vampire." She said reflexively raising her hand to the scar on her neck. "I was merely curious of the similarities of our situations. Though I must admit, your powers combined with mine would be interesting to witness. If you were the adventurous sort." She chuckled, noting his long coat and armaments. She could imagine herself going on a joy-filled killing spree, intoxicated by the extreme power. "When I first awoke, I jumped out of a three story window to get to something living but since then I've had no trouble controlling myself at all. Mostly." She blushed, sipping her drink again.

"If? I can be adventurous when I want to be. Well, it's more zany than adventurous, but still..." He sipped his coffee. "I'm not quite certain I caught your name.."
