Here goes nothing, Aquaria thought. "I used my wings when we were escaping from the hunter. The scars had healed quickly, and I thought they wouldn't hurt, but, apparently, I was wrong."

Garin was still for a moment. The hunter that he been trying to kill him. It was because of him that she had scars now. "My apologies," he said again and moved to stand up.

"It's not your fault," Aquaria said again. A scene flashed through Aquaria's head of her standing at the edge of a cliff with wings curving our behind her, another memory. "I had them before-before I lost my memories."

Aquaria caught up with Garin when he stopped, but stood just behind him, stopped herself by his emotions.

"But I know that you would do anything in your power not to. I trust you, Garin. And if there was nothing you could do, I'd stop you, use the wings to get away and wait until you calmed down, anything so that you wouldn't fee horrible when you calmed down," she said.
