She swallowed sensing his distress. "An Alley." she suggested. "Please! We can always come back later, when it's darker, and look for survivors but alleys are always dark! Please Joey let's go to the city!" she cursed herself for being sensitive to sunlight. She wrapped the blanket around her tighter.

"Ok, come on, love...Wait, I have an Idea" he said as he bent down, making sure to keep a comforting hand on Aria's shoulder. he pryed off the manhole cover that was nearby and slid it aside. "I know it may stink, but it's the quickest and safest way" he said as he stood and led Aria to the manhole. "Ready?" he asked.

She nodded. "Can't be worse then smelling a homeless bum." She answered him trying to be as optimistic as she could "Is this it?" she said as her foot dipped into the hole and caught on a handle bar.

Joey jumped down first and landed on his feet before looking back up. "That's it, love. just jump down" he instructed as he readied to catch her.

She swallowed hard again and then let herself free fall down the man hole afraid of hitting the ground. But still she had faith in him and knew he'd be able to catch her.

Joey caught Aria and moved immediately out of the way of the beam of light that eminated from the manhole. he took the blanket off of her once it was safe. "Are you OK, Love?" he asked, hoping to the heavens that she was OK.

She was greatful to see his face again and collapsed into his arms. "I was so scared!" she cired, then looked over herself seeing that she had healed and was not physically harmed in anyway. "I'm okay...don't worry." she answered him, then looked him over. "You aren't harmed though are you?" she asked frantically making sure that not even a hair was out of place. She stood on her tip-toes, and kissed his lips once more. Feeling his heart race. She let out a sigh as she broke the kiss and looked into his eyes. "I didn't think they would...bomb us." she said searching somewhere for forgiveness in his eyes. As if it was her fault.

Yeah, apparently there was an intercom even in the locked sauna room and Edith and Tokeru heard it plainly. "What the," she said aloud, obviously pissed that their moment was ruined. "Looks like some b***h with a personal death wish decided to bomb us up. ******** them. I'm going to bust their ... nevermind about that. But something of theirs will be busted."
She kissed him and waited for him to get up before she left his side. She sat beside him, towel covering her lower regions but not her higher ones. "Angel," she said softly, caressing him as she did so, "we gotta high-tail it. And when buildings are exploding, we aren't supposed to use the elevators, are we? Or is that just for fires and earthquakes?" Yeah, even in this situation she managed to make a joke out of it though all too soon they wouldn't be laughing.

JOey was just as scared as Aria was, although it may have been for a slightly different reason. he was relieved to hear that she was OK ad his fear left him completely. when she asked about him, he looked himself over and found no wounds. "I'll be fine..." he said before embracing the kiss.
when she said she didn't think THEY would bomb the chapterhouse, he had a look od concern in his eyes. "Didn't know who was going to bomb us?" he asked. His inherent forgiveness shone through his eyes as always, even in his fear.

Tokeru jumped up after her, also grabbing a towel to cover his lower regions. (hehe)
"Come with me, i know a fast way to the subway, and they won't have bombed there, those are hidden for an emergency like this."
He unlocked the sauna and walked out, the cold was like a wall, slamming him and making him take a step back.
"Wasnt expecting that."
He quickly grabbed his abandoned scythe and sword belt, using it to keep his towel up, but abandoning all else.
He grabbed her hand and led the way outside.
"The walls should be slamming down, Now." And on his command, all over the chapterhouse secret passages in the walls openedup to the subway, while blast doors descended to keep fires at bay. "Cmon. He said, not even noticing that her chest was exposed, or that his was either.
Hoping that the blast doors would keep the lower levers of the chapterhouse from being destroyed, including his room which was probably the most important part, he ran towards the subway, emergency lights showing them the way down the otherwise dark passages.
"The order was to meet at the subway, so the shadow stalkers'll be there."

"You sure? If I were some crazy bombing person, I'd just bomb friggin' everywhere, whether I hit the building or not wouldn't really matter to me as long as it did some form of damage to the property, but maybe that's just my insane thinking." It wasn't like Edith had bombed something before, well, she had, but she really didn't habe much to do with it, other than be the get away driver, but that was another tale for another time. One of her more .... street-like moments.
Edith rushed out of the sauna beside Tokeru, being blasted equally as furiously yet hardly feeling it at all. She was accustomed to being almost exact zero, there was nothing new with freezing to her. There was maybe one useful thing about vampirism.
"I'm sure," she commented back, "you weren't."
Edith dared to grab the Heartgate and that was about it. It was her more trusted weapon that didn't run out of ammo unlike her magnums.
As she was grabbed, she clutched the towel closely to her though Edith was not exactly cold or anything. It was more out of modesty than anything. She had wrapped her towel around herself so that it stayed, for some of the time at least until she took too large a stride. Then it fell off almost completely, but she caught it.
"This kinda," she said as she righted her towel, "sucks a** big time. You'd think that people could learn how to bomb places at a more convenient time. I mean honestly, I'm friggin' naked here."
Edith did not need the lights, in fact, they hurt her eyes more than anything. "Yeah, meet em' there. Hope they have enough brains to get out."

As they ran, Tokeru didn't speak, he was too busy trying to figure out what he was going to do, the chapterhouse had been blown up, and he really didn't have anything with him.
When they finally reached the end of the passage, he finally realise that Hope and Savage were still in the chapterhouse.
"Damnit, I hope they got out alright"
Savage would lead his sister to safety, he hoped
Reaching the subway, he saw a group of shadow stalkers, and then he realized that Edith's chest was still exposed.
Not wanting anyone to see more than he wanted of his love, he quickly grabbed her by the shoulders, and held her close, her chest pressed against his.
"Hope? Savage? You here?"

Edith actually had a delayed reaction and realized that Kyley and Midnight were both still within the Chapterhouse as well. "********!" she shouted out loud, struggling against Tokeru though not enough to break free or harm him, just some minor struggling. "Mids and Kyle are still in there too! Tokeru, she's a ******** kid, she won't get out on her own! And my cat, my cat ... should be fine, but Kyley."
She was frantic and she'd forgotten completely about her being exposed situation. Edith did not realize that Tokeru had pulled her so close to him because he did not wish for anyone else to see her. Right now she was just too wound up, otherwise she likely would have blushed or something.
Though facing him, Edith did not look at Tokeru as he held her so intimately close to him, so protectively. She did not speak to him either, except to shout the first thoughts on her mind at him. Her worry had increased the harshness in her voice, perhaps making her sound angry, but Edith really was not concerned about Tokeru's feelings at the moment. She wanted to make sure Kyley and Midnight were safe.

Tokeru just held Edith, not really hearing her, looking for his sister.
To his relief, savage ran up to both of them, with Kyley on his back, and midnight perched on his head.
He breathed a sigh of relief, untill he noticed that his sister wasn't with them.
"HOPE" he yelled, looking frantically around, then he saw her, running right in the proverbial heels of the tiger.
"I'm here, he ran too quickly for me to follow, but he led the way out for us."
She looked at how they were dressed, and saw him holding Edith to his chest.
"Umm so, what were you two doing?"

Upon the sight of the child, Edith immediately realized how immature this was and immediately smartened up, wrapping her towel around her exposed body in the hopes that she would not scar Kyley forever. "We were," Edith said in distraction, ".... let Tokeru explain it."
Upon saying those words and wrapping her exposed parts up with the towel, Edith proceeded over to Kyley to assure herself that the child was fine. After completing her inspection, she went back to re-join Tokeru who had apparently been cold in her absence. "Wow," she said with an evil smirk to Tokeru, "you really missed me, huh?"
As she had gone to wrap her arms around him, the towel had fallen yet again, resting at her waist, covering her buttox. "I think I need some clothes soon." She noted aloud, unabashed but for Kyley.
