Looking up, Watari nearly dropped the test tube in his hand. "Bo... bon?!" he asked, staring at Hisoka as if the teen had grown another head. "Since when did you wear glasses?" Watari asked, his own specs sliding down the bridge of his nose.

Muraki nodded, "The pianist, he's actually an engineer... a scientist of many fields... no doubt he'll be wasy to dispose of. Kurosaki-kun, on the other hand, may put up quite the fight with his telepathic abilities."

Saki shook his head. " I'm sorry.. i didn't mean it that way. I meant, you be able to feel the change in my temperament, my attitude, my voice most of all..." he said sighing.

Hisoka sighed. " You know i said I'd be dropping by for practice... here i am." he said. " I've always worn glasses, but they are just for reading the sheet music.. i usually wear my contacts if I'm going out."

Muraki hugged his arms around his body. "What does it matter?" he whispered, curling in on himself. "You'll change... you'll hurt me again... I... I can't escape you, Saki..."

"A... ah..." Watari spoke, rather shocked by this. "Well, I practiced earlier, at least while I was waiting for some chemicals to finish mixing. I think I've got the jist of the piece."

"He's an empath." Muraki replied softly, closing his eyes.
In truth, the doctor was recalling his various visits to Kurosaki when the boy had been in the hospital.
"But his telekenetic abilities aren't well developed... meaning he probably won't be too much of a problem for you."

"How can I trust you?" Muraki whispered, sounding almost as if he were crying. "Saki... boku wa..." he shook his head slightly. "I want to make you happy... but I couldn't..."

This made Watari smiled, "And here I had thought you hadn't worked on it." he smiled, reaching out and taking the folder.
The scientist nodded a few times, rifling through the pieces.
"These are brilliant... but Inoue-san already know what we're playing, ne? He'd be ill-prepared if we sprung a new piece on him at the last minute."
Smiling, Watari set the folder down. "The concert is tomorrow, after all."

"How does that help me?" Muraki asked, his knees pulled up to his chest.
He was frightened... and he felt rather childish about everything.
But Saki had hurt him... hadn't he?
"I don't know when you'll change... I... I can't stay with you, Saki... I just can't..."

Watari smiled, "You're forgetting who you're dealing with, Bon." the scientist replied, moving to create an illusional piano from his hologram program. "Don't worry, it's just like a real one... just saves space."
The scientist sat down in front of the piano, reaching a hand out to Hisoka. "So, if you want, you can use that music stand there or... if you've memorized it, we can just start."

This caused Muraki to laugh, "I've no interest in you, Inoue-kun." the doctor replied, sipping his beer. "You're an experiment... a means to an end..." he smirked. "Nothing more."
