Darius somewhat nodded, so he wouldn't get another facefull of mud. He was meaning Kyle but he listened to all that she had said to him.
"I see..." was all that Darius said.
He didn't know what to think right now so he just stared at her with gentle eyes for a while, not saying anything at all...
Eventually the silence was broken with a sneeze from Darius, yes Darius once again found himself getting another facefull of mud. In a way, he didn't mind this at all, this might make Lily happier and possible change the subject, he could live with not being able to see much for the next little while, besides he was having trouble doing that right now anyways.

Lily felt extremely relived now that Darius knew the whole story and he seemed to accept it so well. As she sneezed she couldn't help but laugh and she too got a mouth full of mud because she forgot to lift her neck before she laughed "Ack oh uhh yuck." Lily said trying to spit out the mud that had found it's way into her mouth. "Wow yuck." she said smiling at Darius as she continued to try and move under the mud.

Darius lifted his face out of the mud and tryed to move yet again. He moved his shoulder slightly so there was at least some movement. The suction was still very heavy and it was still hard to move but a shoulder worked just fine so far.
"I'm getting some movement but the suction is really bad," he replied to Lily.

Lily smiled. "Well thats better than I'm doing, I have zero movement besides my neck and my fingers." Lily wrigled her fingers as if to show Darius that she could, then chuckled at herself for she knew he wasn't able to see her fingers, yet she wriggled them anyway.

Darius smiled and tried hard to pull out his left arm. He wanted to get at least one arm out and then try to get the other body parts later. Darius pulled as hard as he could, you could hear the suction from the mud it was so hard and so thick to get out of.
Then with a smooth pop Darius got his arm out of the mud, unfortunately for Lily mud from Lily's arm flew into her face.
"Oops...sorry Lily..."

Lily laughed, this time making sure that she had lifted her neck first. "Way to go Darius!" she said playfully. "Tell you what, if you can get us both out of this mess, then I'll forgive you for splashing with mud!" Lily laughed as she struggled to try and get her arm out, after some work she found she was able to roll her wrists but nothing more than that for now.

"Hey it's not like I mean to do it!" Darius said with a smile.
If there were people around them, people would think that these two were the wierdest, craziest, silliest, and probably the cutest couple around. Their relationship was something out of a comedy/drama movie they just seemed right for each other in love and in mishaps...
Darius started to work on his right arm hoping that he could start with something.

Lily smiled at Darius as she struggled, now with her feet below the mud. She was working on trying to get her right knee to be able to move- when the mud her feet were on gave way to the pressure of her standing on it, sending her farther into the mud quickly and efficently. Lily didn't even have a chance to scream as one moment she was above the mud- and the next she was below.
Lily had of course been below the mud before, but that was when she could move on her own, and even if she couldn't Liz and Darius were there to help her out. Now only Darius was with her and he himself couldn't move so how in the world would he help her?? Panic filled Lily as she began trying fantically to move any part of her that would help her get out of this jam, but to no avail.

Darius was going to pull out his arm, but he saw Lily go under.
"Lily!!" Darius shouted, his eyes turning into little dots.
He had to go save Lily, but the mud was thick. How would he save her and if he did how would he get back up? He shook off the fears and looked down to the mud. Darius took a deep breath and went under the muddy abyss.
Darius couldn't see anything under the mud, all he could do is kick as hard as he could and feel for any signs of Lily.

Lily continued to struggle fighting the mud with all she had knowing her breath was running out and she wouldn't be able to hold it much longer as she continued to struggle in the mud. Finally she made some movement and her hand flung out into the mud and hit something that was not mud, it felt more like skin.....little did Lily know that she had just slapped Darius's face.

Darius felt something hit his face. It seemed somewhat flesh like, was it Lily? Darius began to franticly search for Lily and by search he ment feel around for any signs of Lily. He knew he was close, but he also knew that Lily wouldn't be able to hold her breath forever.

Lily was now at a make or break point with her oxygen level, she felt sure that she was in fact going to die right there in the mud, with Darius only a meer foot or two away from her. She didn't blame him or course they'd been in the mud several times and she'd figured the only difference of this time was that it'd just be harder to get out. She hoped that if in fact she did die he wouldn't blame himself for it- it wasn't his fault. Lily's thought filled her mind as she desperatly fought the empty black that seemed to be creeping up on her mind. Lily tried one last time to make herself more visible to Darius or above the mud, but to no avail the mud had her- as did the darkness as she blacked out....

Darius finally felt flesh, it was Lily allright Darius wrapped his arms around her and slowly kicked himself up with all the might he had in him. He had to get out of there! There was no ifs, ands or buts about it.
The kick was just enough. Darius reserfaced above the mud his head and arms were out of the mud and Lily's face was above mud. Darius checked her breath movement; there was none.
A look of worry came on Darius's face. Was he too late? Was Lily...he didn't finish the question. He slowly moved to a more solid piece of land and placed Lily there.
"Lily, wake up!" Darius said in a choked voice, "Lily, wake up!!!"
Darius didn't wait for an answer, darius began to push onto Lily's chest. Once, twice, three times, then he moved his mouth over hers and breathed air into it. Darius continued this process over and over again. Tears droppind down onto Lily's muddy face, but not even clearing it away.

Lily stayed still as she was unconsious of Darius's strong arms around her, and then him pulling her into safer ground. Her body was still as was her breath......It seemed that the mud had ver possibly taken it's first victim....

Darius continued to preform CPR on the muddy Lily. He contiuned his rythmic pushing and then a breath into Lily's mouth. Tears were still forming in Darius's eyes, he was going to save Lily, if it was the last thing he did.
He gave another breath of air to Lily and he began to push again...
