Well, I'm pretty sure I'd be dead after 2 bites from a basilisk (and a pheonix can only cry so much... ) So I'd have to go with being a Squib. (Though I might go that way anyways, if poor Merope's life is anything to go by, and she wasn't even totally a squib)....

It'll be tough, but I think I'll be able to recover from the Sorting hat's rejection ( even though I may never shake my irrational jealous hatred of the Scarf of Sexual Preference).
Falling off the astronomy tower however, offers no such emotional recovery... or physical recovery for that matter, so I'm gonna have to say that one is worse.

Combing Hagrid's beard is like one of those impossible tasks in fairy tales, such as emptying a lake with a sieve. Sooner or later, both you and Hagrid would have to admit defeat and be done with it. Plus, he's more likely to help you comb than the owls are to help you clean.
The Owlery, however, has a set finishing point...once it's clean. I'd rather not mess with owl pellets and such, so I'd say this one is worse.
Which is worse,
Teaching trolls to dance
or
Teaching a Mad Knight to lance?

Well, a mad knight might lance me on accident. However, at least, being the chivalrous kind of person that knights are, he would at least take me to St. Mungo's. I would get no such courtesy from a troll who's just clubbed me. So I suppose teaching a troll to dance would be worse.
