"You have a point, I suppose. I guess I'll change.." There wasn't any sort of horrible underlying reason as to why she was uncomfortable wearing so little. Honestly, Kirsa was just shy about that sort of thing. "It is nice to meet you, as well." She offered him a nod. "Thank you. It is my uniform." Were all of Kilik's friends so...outgoing? Sasha with her overly friendly attitude, Mike with his crazy entrance...Kirsa couldn't imagine what his other friends were like. Granted, it was probably never dull with them around.
The Houndour blinked a few times in time with the Elekid's pats, his ears perked up in a curious sort of manner. Well, if he was expected to behave...He sat back neatly on his haunches and lifted a paw to awkwardly shake the plug's nub before setting it back down. At least the Elekid wasn't massive like that Charizard; though Hans wasn't afraid of the dragon, he was glad that it seemed docile.
The phrase 'save the world buddies' intrigued Kirsa quite a bit. Was it simply a joke, or were they being serious? And if it was the latter, what were they saving the world from? Perhaps she would ask them about it later; she didn't want to seem nosy. "That sounds like quite a title."

Shocker had predicted Daemyn's temperament exactly, although he didn't really growl or snarl or anything; rather, he just cocked his head to his left, staring off in the distance, not particularly interested in his girl's friends. He was content being a sourpuss, at least so long as M.A. was around. If she wasn't, he'd be discontent being a sourpuss, and that was that.
M.A. shot a frown at the social recluse that was her Houndour, but changed that frown upside down instantaneously as she returned her attention to Kasiya. "He sure was," M.A. giggled a bit, feeling a little giddy -- she was at a beach party! A beach party full of beach, sun, fun, surf, and boys! Although the girl wasn't exactly boy-crazy, as any other teenage girl did, she did have a solid appreciation of the opposite gender, especially with their sun-toned abs and dazzling smiles...
Oh, but she was getting distracted again! A slightly glowing object caught her attention, and she was surprised she hadn't noticed it earlier as Kasiya shifted it in her arms. "What's that?" she asked curiously, timidly moving her head in a teensy bit closer for a better look. "Looks like a Pokemon egg?" she mused aloud, although she'd only seen one once in passing.
Before she could get her answer, though, an explosion and panic in the east caused the two to forget their current conversation, and M.A. nodded briefly in response to Kasiya's suggestion that they head over there. What in the world could it have been? Not those black-shirted ruffians again, that she had met outside of... er, that one city? What was thing called again, Group... Team...? She couldn't remember that, either.
By the time they had arrived at the scene, the commotion had settled down considerably and besides a singed umbrella and some black sand there didn't seem to be anything odd about the situation. M.A.'s surveying eyes caught on a familiar figure, however -- was that Kilik?

Elekid looked up at Nitro and blinked. Man, that was one big Pokemon! Though it belonged to Mike, and he had seen him before so he was a friend. The plug motioned for Hans to follow him and waddled up to the dragon. "Ele!" he saluted then in the blink of an eye scampered up to his head, clutching his horns with his little fingers.
Kilik would've said something, but decided to let Elekid take any consequence of his actions. "I guess," he laughed, "but it's the best I could come up with on short notice. Maybe we'll think of some awesome code name eventually." He looked at Kirsa, then at Mike. He turned to start walking towards a place for him to buy a bathing suit. "Let's get this out of the way," he laughed. He paused when he saw M.A.
"Hey, hey!" he smiled, waving at her. Who was the blonde with her? She looked familiar, but...he couldn't put a name to her. Yes, he could! "Kaassssiya?" Kilik managed to get out. That's right; she was Lt. Surge's daughter. Oh man, battling Lt. Surge was a trip, but he did learn a lot from him.

Keegan let out an audible groan when he arrived at the beach. There were far more people here than he'd thought there were be and if there was one person who couldn't stand large groups of people, it was Keegan. The redhead sighed and continued to weave through the crowd, at first trying to be polite. This patience, however, was soon dissolved and he began to occasionally shove and push people out of his way. There were far too many people for anyone to realize who'd pushed them and most just thought it was a part of their games. When he finally reached a clearing he was disappointed to see that his search was leading him nowhere, and fast. He'd quickly discovered that looking for a blonde, teenage girl in a mob like that would be the proverbial pin in the haystack. He could send Artemis out to do some scouting, but with all the people here, and virtually none of whom which he trusted an inch, he decided against it, lest he ever want to see his Swellow again. So, the redhead gave a defeated sigh and continued to plod forward, grumbling with discomfort as copious amounts of sand were infiltrating his sandals and wedging their way between his toes.
One thing Keegan did notice, however, was that no one seemed to be noticing him at all. It wasn't new to him, nor did it bother him, but it did bring back memories of going for walks through Lavaridge with Mike - all the girls would wave and call out to Mike while Keegan stood nearby, feeling awkward, ignored and out of place. He didn't care about that anymore, though. He didn't need girls to stare and gawk at him. There was only one girl that mattered to him. However, if he didn't find her soon, he was certain he was going to lose his mind amid all this craziness.
The thought crossed his mind that perhaps he'd maybe missed her among the gobs of people standing around. It was highly possible after all. More walking lead him to another small clearing, and surprisingly enough there was only one person in the area. How she'd managed to procure such a good spot was a mystery to him, but the urge to sit down and take a break was overwhelming. "Hey," he called out to the dark-haired girl, taking note of the Sneasel relaxing nearby, "mind if I have a seat?" he asked, pointing to the empty picnic table that housed only what he assumed to be her belongings.

Nitro was not in the mood for some half pint Pokemon interrupting his very rarely granted relaxation time. He deserved some peace and quiet. It would have been different if it was Napalm, or hell, even Felsic, but this was Kilik's little baby Elekid. He can be curious and annoying later. Without a word, the Charizard flicked the little plug away with one swish of his tail, somewhat trying not to hit it with the flaming tip. He yawned and got comfortable once again, snorting out a small black puff of smoke before rolling over.
"Heh." chuckled Mike as he witnessed Nitro's grumpy behavior. "Can't say I blame him. He's been working hard lately." He snapped back to the conversation, Kirsa's curious response made him smile. "I've had to cross swords with Team Rocket and Team Aqua. One time Kilik came along with me when we were saving a friend of mine from being kidnapped. Speaking of which Kilik, Sasha here yet?" He stood on his tip-toes, hoping to spot a huge mass of pink hair somewhere near. "I bet she looks dynamite in a two piece."
While he wouldn't have minded helping Kilik pick out some sweet trunks, being interrupted by pretty girls was a decent enough substitute. One of them was Kasiya, who was looking rather cute in her uncharacteristically 'lacking' outfit. The other was someone whom he'd never met before, but she knew Kilik, and she was pretty damn cute. Tall too. Mike gave her a quick up and down treatment, the legs were especially nice. They were long, like Flannery's. Rather than interrupt, he decided to stand back next to Kirsa and wait for an introduction.

For a moment Riza thought she would doze off. The sun was warming and even though there was a lot of noise she was relaxed enough to fall asleep. That is, until the chirping of her Blackberry snapped her out of her very nice daydreams of shirtless hunks. Growling Riza opened her eyes and sat up, reaching for her bag and pulling the phone out of the side pocket. She wasn’t in any hurry, since the tone of the ringing had indicated a text message and not an actual call. She got herself comfortable again before reading it, smiling slightly when she saw that it was from her brother. It didn’t say much, only that he’d passed a test. Riza thought for a moment and remembered that he’d been working on getting his full driver’s license so that must have been it. She decided to send a quick reply, hoping she could recapture that trance-like state of relaxation she’d achieved earlier. She congratulated him before asking if he even had a car, and she didn’t even get a chance to lie back again before his reply arrived: apparently now he was sitting in the middle of an argument between his parents over who got to buy him a car. Riza sighed. While things like that could seem like perks of having divorced parents, at the same time she would have given up any number of cars in order to know what it was like to live in a home where your parents are happily married and almost never get into a fight.
However those thoughts were also interrupted and Riza looked up to see a tall boy with bright red hair staring down at her. He looked tired and annoyed and just generally unimpressed in general, and as much as Riza wanted to say no she nodded. “Whatever, I don’t own the table,” she said, pretending to be interested in her phone, even though it was closed. She waited until he sat down to get a better look at him, and while normally she would have been disgusted by a pair of old cut-off shorts she found them to suit him pretty well. Also, on closer inspection she found him to be rather attractive. There seemed to be something different about him though, something that set him aside from all the other boys she’d come across today. She waited for a moment or two before standing up to put her phone away. Sneasel raised an eyebrow in amusement as she turned to the boy and held her hand out. “Uh, hi,” she said somewhat nervously. “I’m Riza. Nice to meet ya.”

Hans seemed reluctant to follow Elekid, mostly because the Charizard was sleeping - and it was soon quite clear that his hesitation wasn't unfounded. The Houndour shook his head a little, opting to remain at his trainer's side.
They had faced Team Rocket and Team Aqua? Kirsa was impressed. Looks like she wouldn't need to ask about it later, at any rate. "...If the Sasha you are referring to has pink hair, then yes. She is here." The cadet-in-training answered in place of Kilik. "I believe she is down at the beach." The arrival of the two other girls prompted Kirsa to fall silent and, like Mike, simply wait for introductions to be made. My, Kilik certainly knew a lot of people, didn't he?

Elekid pouted and walked over to Kilik again, scrambling up to his trainer's shoulder. The plug smiled when he saw M.A. It was nice to see a friendly face. Kilik blinked at the sudden silence and scratched the back of his head. He walked over to M.A. and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Mike, Kirsa, this is my good friend Mary-Anne. I call her M.A. for short." He smiled over at Kasiya. "I guess you could take it from here, Kas." He winked.
"I'll see you lot later," Kilik said, letting go of M.A. and turning to keep walking, "I've got swim trunks to buy." He slipped his hands into his pockets and headed off. He passed a lot of voyeurs that were selling some very odd looking swim suits. He was never really a clothes shopper - everything he usually got was picked out by his mom, except the outfit he had now. He figured yellow and black were definitely his colors.
"I should try finding a yellow and black swim suit. What do you think, Elekid?" he looked over at his Pokemon and smiled. The Pokemon squeaked and punched the air with his fist. "Ele!" Obviously, he was a fan of black and yellow too. He and his trainer matched!

"Uh, hi," M.A. grinned sheepishly, a solid mix of cheer and embarrassment bouncing off her cheeks. "Mike and Kirsa," she said aloud, rather redundantly; it was a habit of hers to restate the names she learned. Helped her remember them. "Nice to meet you both," she smiled, extending a hand to first one then the other. Mike was a handsome sort of fellow, she thought, looked nice. The other girl, Kirsa, intimidated her a little; it might have been something in her eyes, or perhaps the stern-looking uniform. Pretty unique dress for a beach... Oh my, M.A. thought with a sudden inner light of realization -- what if she was a CIA agent! Or SWAT or FLY or whatever it was called. Sometimes they hired young...
But if that was the case, M.A. thought to herself, then there was no way she ought to ask, since that would be blowing her cover. Right. It didn't occur to M.A. that a CIA agent would probably not be in uniform at the beach, but what did she know about government stuff?
Trying not to seem too distracted, M.A. waved Kilik off before standing quietly with just a smile on her face. What she did when she felt like an awkward light post.
Meanwhile, Daemyn found some interest in the other Pokemon, primarily the huge hunk of a Charizard. Wow, did he look strong. He was not very interested in the Elekid that left (since he'd beaten him; this was Daemyn's conceited thinking), but was vaguely curious regarding the other Houndour. Vaguely, since it looked pretty young.

Keegan raised an eyebrow at the girl's curt reply but sat down anyway, deciding against thanking her. He sighed and put his head down on the table before closing his eyes. Shoulda stayed in Lavaridge, he thought. Or went to Petalburg. After all, there was a gym there and it was next in line.
When the girl spoke again it startled him - it had been the last thing he was expecting from her. He stood up and shook her hand somewhat awkwardly. "Err, uh, Keegan," he mumbled. Now that he was getting a good look at her he realized she was quite tall and well, hot. Other than those two astute observations he couldn't think of anything else (productive) to say. He sat back down, with his back to the table so that he was facing the shoreline. "At least it's a nice day for a party," he mumbled idly, wishing he was a little better at this whole talking-to-people thing.

As Kasiya and M.A. neared the site of all the ruckus it soon became apparent what the cause had been. The scorched sand and the smug look on Mike's face was enough to tell the story. "Hi guys," she said, waving at them both. "Nice trunks, Mikey," she added with a slight giggle. On her shoulders Shocker twitched with excitement but Kasiya's sudden and firm grip on her tail kept her from doing anything rash, like speeding over to Mike and tackling him to the ground. Instead the Raichu hopped down from her favourite perch to investigate the two Houndour. The one that was standing attentively beside the strange girl seemed to be somewhat smaller and younger-looking than Daemyn but they both seemed to be equally... serious. Shocker frowned at this discovery and pouted at them as if miraculously her annoyance at them would somehow break them out of their stoic mannerisms.
Kasiya, meanwhile, had been going over possible names for her unborn Charmander in her head and missed the introductions, snapping out of her daydream only when Kilik began to walk away, presumably to become beach-ready. She also probably would have missed Kirsa's name altogether if M.A. hadn't repeated it. "Hey there," she said, holding out her hand. "My name's Kasiya, nice to meetcha." As usual her cheerfulness was in full swing at having found some of her friends. She looked around expectantly, feeling quite disappointed when she didn't see who she was looking for. Subconsciously she reached up to tug at her pendant but when her fingers touched nothing but her own skin she sighed. It would take time to get used to the fact that it was gone.
=-=-=-=-= Jaeshan really wasn't worried about the battle now that Combusken was on the field, and even as she took a Shadow Ball to her stomach she kept running forward. "Double Kick," he called, now seeing the Charizard out of the corner of his eye. He thought for a moment that it looked familiar, but he forgot all about it as Combusken landed two solid hits to the Wigglytuff. The Normal-type was still standing but just barely. Stacey didn't look too impressed and she recalled her Pokemon before stalking away in a huff. Jaeshan sighed and looked back at Ryka and Robin. It seemed that Robin was quite interested in the Charizard, and he smiled. After congratulating Combusken he recalled her into her Pokeball, wanting her to rest up in case there were more battles. "We can go over and see it if you want," he said, nodding towards the large, orange dragon. In actuality he was quite interested as well, but mostly because he wanted to know who it belonged to. "Shall we?" he asked again, grinning at his two female companions.

Likewise, Hans was somewhat interested in the obviously older Houndour, but did nothing more than c**k his head ever so slightly, looking from the other Houndour to the Raichu. There certainly were a lot of Pokemon about...Kirsa shook hands with M.A. and Kasiya both, offering them a small smile. "It's nice to meet you both." She had met so many people in such a short amount of time; not that it was a bad thing, of course. She simply had not been expecting to make so many acquiantances in so short a time. Hopefully she would remember all their names. "I told Kilik that I would accompany him, so if you'll excuse me. Perhaps we can meet up later on, and get to know one another better." As formal as she sounded, Kirsa was being sincere. After all, it would be kind of nice to have some friends. She snapped her fingers to gain her Pokemon's attention, then briefly jogged after Kilik to catch up. At the sound of the snap, Hans was alert, and with a last glance at the Raichu and the other Houndour, trotted off at Kirsa's heels.
Having caught up to Kilik she slowed down to a walk, having to take more steps than him in order to keep up due to her height, but Kirsa didn't seem to be struggling to do so. "Ah...sorry about that."

Blythe was in a crazy rush, trying to find the source of that "boom!" She kept whispering things, seemingly to no one.. Was it a bomb? An invasion? A mod of crazy aliens bent on world domination?
"Aww, it's just some normal-looking boy!" Blythe practically yelled, pointing at the cloud of smoke and sticking out her tounge. Sure enough, a tall boy with brown hair and a large orange dragon-thing emerged from the smoke. Most people were running away, but Blythe noticed a group of people gathering around the boy. Blythe, being that naturally curious thing she was, inched closer towards the group. What got her eye the most was a girl in military-style outfit, looking quite stiff among the group of friends.
"Oooh~ What's this? It looks like something doesn't belong..! Blythe didn't really realize that she was staring at the group like a pirate who had just discovered treasure. How can I get closer..? She silently asked herself. Blythe looked up at the sky, realizing her balloons were small specks now. Oh, right, no more balloons.
~x~
Ryka smiled at Jaeshan. "You guys did great. I see that Beldum is really getting a lot of experience.. he'll evolve in no time. And Combusken is getting so strong, so fast!"
Ryka turned to the red-head and gave a small bow. "Hello there. My name is Ryka. Are you a friend of Jaeshan's?" Ryka also gave a warm smile to the Aipom sitting upon the girl's shoulder.
To be honest, Ryka hadn't paid much attention to the explosion. She'd just assumed it was another battle and gave it no mind. However, now that she looked, there indeed was a large Charizard standing where the sound came from, and a group of people close by. Something about them seemed familiar.. She spotted a blond head in the group, and started wondering if it was who she thought.. "Sure, we should go look."

After the briefing, half of the teams had been deployed by air, landing somewhere in the vicinity but nowhere near close enough to rouse suspicion or even be seen. The other half had been sent out earlier that morning and arrived by sea. All in all, the number of Rockets infiltrating the party were far outnumbered by the many beach-goers, but since the actual party was not the intended interest of the Rockets, it would be fine. Mai stepped down from the helicopter in which she'd just rode in she looked over Slateport City, wearing a dark smile as she pulled her sunglasses down over her 'brown' eyes. She wore a small earphone in her right ear, the cord of which was attached to a two-way radio which was cleverly disguised as an iPod. This allowed the 'spotters' on camera back at the base in Viridian to give her information on the whereabouts of their targets as well as allow her conversations to be transmitted back to HQ as well. Mai looked up at Leo as he stood beside her, fitting perfectly into the part of surfer-boy hunk. "This ought to be fun," she said quietly.

“Yeah, I guess so,” Riza agreed, deciding to sit back down in her chair, although she didn’t stretch out like before. She looked over at Keegan again, finding it hard to believe that he could be here all by himself. But then again, she was alone, so maybe it wasn’t as odd as she thought it was. “You here alone?” she asked, hoping she wouldn’t sound nosy. Sneasel jumped down from the chair she’d been occupying and wandered over towards the new boy. Riza gave the Pokemon that “now you behave yourself” look but Sneasel only wanted to have a look at him.
“Snee?” she asked, pointing a clawed hand at him. Riza had no idea what the Pokemon was saying and she shrugged before Keegan could ask the question. Deciding that the boy meant no harm Sneasel then wandered down towards the water, dipping her toes in to see what it was like. It was a bit cold but to the ice-type it sure felt nice.
