Jack laughed at Sun's comment, but he could tell something was wrong. He knew she was probably worried about Jin, just like he was worried about Kate...
"Sun...he'll be ok..."
Jack scanned the cave and saw that everyone was off doing their own thing. He was happy that the caves were keeping the rain out with the help of the tarp, he just hoped the winds wouldn't pick up.

Sun wanted to melt into the cave floor. Was she really so transparent that Jack could see through her like a plate glass window? Sun breathed in shakily. She stopped massaging Jack's shoulders and stepped off of the rock to sit beside him. She draped half of the blanket over his shoulders and pulled her knees up to her chest.
"Yes, he will be okay. If karma does not get to him before he gets to us," Sun said softly.
She stared ahead at where the tarp was flapping in the wind at the mouth of the cave. Sun absent-mindedly scratched at the healing scars on her legs and the injection site on her arm. It was hard to focus.

Jack turned to face Sun and took her hands in his, "Sun as a doctor we have to learn to look beyond what a patient tells us, and look at subtle signs of something more..." Jack smiled and scratched his head, "Sorry if I appear to be reading your thoughts..." Jack looked down at his legs and then back at Sun. "I think Karma already got to all of us..."

Sun's momentary lapse of judgement and her venture into unrestricted emotion had left her feeling like karma really had taken it's toll. However, Sun did not see the island as being punishment for them. She saw it as a blessing. She was glad in a way that Jack could read her so well. It saved her the trouble of admitting everything out loud.
"It is easier to let you read my thoughts than to try to explain it all," Sun said dryly. "I don ot think that karma has touched any of us yet."
No. If what they had done in their lives pre-island was all true, then when karma hit it was going to be the s**t storm of all time.

((Night! And it's no prob! *whips out pencil* I shall begin tomorrow...right after I finish writting my play that is due thursday... T__T))
Jack knew she was right, they were alive after all, and there still was hope...

Claire smiled and finaly stood up. She looked at Jen and placed the young girl in her other arm.
''If you'll excuse me..I think I'm going to try and go to bed.''
She gave him another smile and walked over to Boone.
''Hello there''
She sat down by his side and rested her head on his shoulder.
''Hey there'
Bonne answered as he placed a kiss on the top of her head.

((Arg! I was in the middle of writing a Sun/Jack fanfic for ff.net when I found one already posted! She beat me to it! gonk ))
Sun had dozed off for a moment. She woke still in the same position with Jack as she had been before. Sun rubbed sleepily at her eyes and yawned slightly, stretching. She looked over at the entrance to the cave. The storm was finally beginning to lighten up. She looked over at Jack as he spoke.
"You've been working overtime left, right and center lately. You need some rest," Sun said softly.

Jack streched, "I suppose you are right..."
He was glad the storm was letting up, so they could check up on the garden.
"But then again...back home the sounds of rain always made me sleepy..."
Jack smiled goofily and yawned again.

Sun smiled and moved to sit even closer to Jack, if it was possible.
"See, it relaxes you. Whatever works for you is good. For me it is my garden, for you it is the rain," Sun said softly.
She continued to stare out at the rain.

"Well that and Golfing...I am just the sterotypical doctor..."
He laughed quietly and shook his head.

Sun laughed lightly.
"I have never tried golf, but I do not think I would be too good at it, either," Sun replied.
There were a lot of things Sun hadn't done in her lifetime. However, with Jack she was one step closer to achieving her goal of trying anything once. This was something she was glad she had given in to.

Jack could feel his eyelids growing heavy, and he leaned his head on Sun's shoulder. He decided not to try and fight the inevitable, and he slowly began to drift off to sleep.
((*rubs hands together* Jack dream sequence time! surprised ))
