Achilles smiled.
"Last time I checked. I mean, we do share the same father after all. I was brought all the way from Troy to meet you so it would be a sore disappointment to dscover it not true now of all times."
He stepped up and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"I do not understand why you were afflicted like this, but there are those in this school that can easily help."

Cassie nodded towards Achilles and grabbed his hand.
"So you mean we didn't grow up together?... That's too bad. But it's nice to know I have an older sibling who would look out for me. I don't trust any of the others... But I trust you.'
Cassie smiled a little, like a small lost girl who had just found her big brother. She didn't care much for any of the others right now, but Achilles for some reason made her feel happy.
"So...umm... do you have any idea what happened to me?"

*After Cassie had ran, Chris slipped into his stealth armor and disappeared from sight. He followed Cassie to make sure she wouldn't get hurt or run into trouble. Then she ran into Achilles. He knew Cassie would be good hands there so he slipped away to find Professor Prince. She would want to know about Cassie condition.
He came upon Prince talking with Steve Rogers, Emma Frost, Bruce Wayne, and...oh my god...Iron Man! Chris thought Tony Stark was the coolest. He couldn't interrupt Tony Stark! So, Chris ended up eavesdropping.*
The Avengers were replaced as well. We were rescued by an unlikely person. Lex Luthor sent his people and they found us?
*Bruce scowled.*
Luthor? I don't trust him and you shouldn't either, Stark
I don't but the President is now enamored with him. In fact, the President will be calling here, Diana. He didn't sound happy either.
*Diana sighed.*
Wonderful. We will deal with that after we get the students taken care of- CHRISTOPHER POWELL! How dare you eavesdrop on our conversation!
*Chris had slipped out of stealth mode when Diana mentioned the students. Good time as any to tell her about Cassie.*
I'm sorry, Ms Prince, but I had to come find you. Cassie woke with amnesia and ran. Achilles rounded her up but she's terrified of all of us. I thought you should know.
*Emma laid a hand on Diana's shoulder.*
Go look after her, Diana. We'll get the students back where they belong and check on Mr. Kaplan. Miss Baptiste and Mr. Altman rushed him to the medical center.

Deposited in the school medical center by Karen Starr, Dox was starting to take stock of his current situation.
His ship was still in pieces. The equipment available at the school was advanced for this time, but still light years away from what he needed to build a stable time travel device to send himself home. Even the great scientists teaching here...Dr. Richards, Dr. McCoy and the rest hadn't perfected chronal travel. There was no guarantee anything they had available would send him back to his actual time in the correct multiversal dimension.
He was stuck here, for the time being. And to make things worse, his presence was already causing paradoxes. How did Superboy know who he was? What about what that obnoxious Powell had said about already meeting him? His foreknowledge of their futures, and the tragedies to come was-
"Hey there, how are ya doing, kid?" It was Mr. Howlett, making his way in to the medical center. Dox sat up on his bed as Nurse Foley gave the old man the nod to come in.
"He's doing okay, a few bumps and bruises. I'm going to have to start a new medical chart for him. We haven't encountered any of his race before."
Great. More chances to cause paradoxes. Querl groaned and grabbed his head.
"I've been better, Mr. Howlett." He replied. "I want to go home, but that's not possible right now."
"I know the feelin', kid." Logan went to light a cigar, but a sharply cleared throat by Nurse Foley stopped him. He stuffed the stogie into his pocket. "But I'm plannin' on hanging around for a while here. Maybe you should, too."
"It's a bad idea." Querl shook his head. "There's so much risk that I could change the future just by being here."
"Listen, kid." Logan had a seat next to his bed, the chair creaking under his weight. "Where else are you gonna go? Hide in a cave for a thousand years? I've given that a shot, and let me tell you, it's no party. You have to stop thinking about what you're going to mess up with the timeline. The way I look at it, you're here, it's because you're meant to be here. Same as me."
Dox opened his mouth to argue the technical details of chronal disruptions, but then shut his mouth again. Mr. Howlett was right. There really was no other option.
"See, as I see it, you've got a golden opportunity here, kiddo. You're basically an exchange student. Just so happens you're exchanging from the future. We might be backwards and old-fashioned and alien to you, but you gotta look at it as a learnin' opportunity."
Dox looked at Mr. Howlett and cracked a smile.
"You know, that's almost the exact same thing you'll say to me in a thousand years to convince me to attend Hero High, Mr. Howlett."
"Ah, hell. Call me Logan."

"She speared him right through the stomach."
Teddy said as the real Elixir aka Josh Foley stood over Billy, examining him, while Danielle held the wound tightly in the Witchblade so he would not bleed out.
The problem remained, Josh had to touch the wound to heal it, and for that to happen, Dani had to release Billy from the Witchblade. If she did that, he could very bleed out before he could be healed.
"What do we do?" Teddy asked when Billy started shaking and his eyes rolled back into his head.
"He's going into shock!"

Cassandra Sandsmark "So...umm... do you have any idea what happened to me?" "It is silly for you not to trust these others. They are your friends. Friends who fought to rescue you from your imprisonment." He looked around and sighed. "But I can not truly begin to guess what the tale to tell is. All I can gather is a gathering of teachers and students were taken by these ... things, and replaced." He looked to her and smiled. "But you are safe. Again. And your memory will be returned to you."

Teddy was tired. Really, really tired. And needed to be away from all of this for a little bit. Maybe, like, out on a friend date with Wallace. One of those dates where Wallace would listen to him vent, nod sympathetically, and then make out with the waiter so they didn't have to pay their tab. Instead of this.
"Hold still, Dani. We're going to release the witchblade." Yeah, it was risky. But if there was anything the last couple weeks had taught Teddy, it was that doing nothing could make things infinitely worse. He squeezed Billy's hand. "Hang in there."
With a sickening sound that Teddy may have imagined, the foreign item slid out of Billy's wound, and Nurse Foley dove in. Teddy could see sweat forming on his brow as his powers did their stuff.
"Good..." Nurse Foley grunted out. "Good, yeah...I can feel it. He's going to be all right."
Teddy let out a sigh. At least, finally, one thing was going right. He hefted his weight into a nearby chair, in between Billy and the little green kid. He looked up at Dani.
"Er," Suddenly, he was at a loss for words, after everything he and Dani had been through together. "Thanks."
Maybe that was enough. Night fell over the infirmary as weariness took over the students, and Nurse Foley handed out blankets.
For one night, at least, these kids would sleep uninterrupted.

Danielle could feel her heart finally slowing down, it had been beating so fast and loud she could barely hear anything else. Billy's near death had truly frightened her. Thank god, Josh Foley, the nurse, had saved him. For several reasons she found herself truly grateful and hot tears of happiness had welled in her eyes, pouring down.
"Thank you..." She whispered, quickly wiping her tears away. She was so happy, she cracked a smile when he walked by.
"You're welcome." Nurse Foley said seriously, patting her on the shoulder, then continued on to more students.
She looked across to Teddy, who looked the same way she felt, and gave her thanks too. She smiled at him.
"Teddy, if you ever need me. I'm here for you. You know that. And you are very welcome."
She blinked back tears some more, wiping her face with the back of her hand, when she noticed it was still covered in blood.
"Oh god--Eww... " She sighed. There was more then she realized and she was covered in it. "I'm going to take a shower... try and get some rest, Teddy, you need it more then ever." She wanted to hug him but didn't want to get him dirty, so she smiled sympathetically at him and left to get cleaned up.

Wally_West "Hey, Lois. I just wanted to thank you, y'know? It took a lot of guts to do what you did." It was nothing. Any intrepid reporter and President of the Superboy Fan Club would have done the same. But you're welcome. Now, where is Superboy? Is he okay? I have to interview him before I file the story on the Skrull Invasion! ::Lois wandered off into the crowd, looking for Superboy.::

One month later on the 17th of March...
*A month had passed since the Secret Invasion had been repelled and the school was getting back to normal. A new bookstore was being built and the gym was repaired...again. The teachers had sent Logan into the old Nazi tunnels to map them and then they were closed off to students.
With all the work that needed to be done, the faculty was able to put off meeting with the President of the United States...until now. Emma Frost, Steve Rogers, Bruce Wayne, and Barry Allen had gathered into Diana Prince's office for the video conference with the President. It was not going well.*
"How many times has your school been involved in a mess like this? The zombies attack, a gym full of students disappearing into hell, students turned into apes, invasion by aliens, invasion by Jedi wars, and a secret alien invasion!" the President raged.
Diana sighed. "Mr. President, a school that hosts the superheroes of tomorrow will always be targ-"
"I DON'T CARE! I never liked that your school was on American soil and beyond American control but I trusted you people!" the President yelled. "But time after time, the citizens of Midvale and the students at that school have been put in danger and it seems you can't do anything about it!"
Diana stood up and her fellow teachers gathered behind her in support. "Mr. President, we have been patient with you but I will not stand by while you disparage my teachers. The fact of the matter is that President Roosevelt gave the superheroes of Earth this school to train the heroes of tomorrow. Do we have small events the endanger people? Yes but this strengthens our students. They're better prepared now than they were two months ago, And I know of no better people to guide this children than the men and women of Hero High."
The President grimaced and smoothed his jacket. "That was a nice little speech, Ms Prince, but it doesn't change the fact that I believe events at Hero High and Midvale have gotten out hand, But I'm giving you one last chance on the advice of Lex Luthor. He still has faith in you."
"I'll have to thank Mr. Luthor then," Diana said.
"You'll get your chance at graduation. Due to Mr. Luthor's heroics during the Secret Skrull Invasion, I'm giving him my slot as commencement speaker at Hero High's graduation. I wished I could reward him better but it's all he asked for."
"Of course, Mr. President," Diana hid her distaste well. This was going to go over like a lead balloon. Especially with Bruce. "We look forward to it."
"Good. Remember my warning, Ms Prince," The President pushed a button on his desk and the screen went blank.

Deputy Headmistress Emma frost turned her head to look at Steve Rogers who stood beside her and she simply asked, "Would it be considered in bad taste to tell the President of this great nation to go blow it out his diddy bag?"

*Barry covered a smile with his hand while Steve glowered at Emma.*
"I don't think that would help the situation, Emma," Diana quickly interjected before Steve could snap back at Frost. "We'll just have to deal Mr. Luthor and hope the students aren't disappointed that the President won't be visiting this year."
"No." All eyes turned to Bruce Wayne. "The Luthor family can't be trusted."
"Bruce, we know that you've dealt with the Luthors more than most but Lex has worked hard to step out his father's shadow," Barry pointed out.
"It's an act," Bruce replied. "Lex learned a lesson from Lionel Luthor's example. The old cliche of catching more flies with honey than vinegar. Lex Luthor is nothing but a sheep in wolf's clothing."
"I'm sorry, Bruce, but our hands are tied," Diana sighed. "We aren't beholden to the President but it's better to stay on his good side in this situation. Lex Luthor will be attending graduation." The other teachers nodded in agreement.
"Then I won't. I've neglected Gotham for too long. As of now, I'm on leave. Call me if you regain your senses," Bruce snapped and he stalked out of the room.

Inside the Bruce Wayne's limousine head of the school scrutiny waited for him to enter. She'd like the think that she'd snuck in some mysterious way, but truthfully she'd just asked him nice old butler if she could wait for Bruce in the car. He polity obliged the lady...
When Bruce entered he looked both irritated and pleased to see her.
"Hello, Bruce." She smiled at him raising a hand up. "Don't worry this isn't about you standing me up on our date."
She shifted in the seat uncrossing her legs and leaning into him to speak a bit more quietly.
"I understand what happening here. More then you realize. Do what you have to do. I'm not judging. I've delt with my own Luthors, Kenith Irons, Long story there, I'll have to tell you over dinner sometime, If you can make it this time there is." She couldn't help but add the sarcastic quip,
"I'll protect the students in your absents. For a school of future superheroes, they don't exactly make my job easy. But know I'll do everything I can." Sara was a little more serous this time, She may or may not have liked Bruce, romantically or other wise, but she did respect him. They were more similar then the realized. She hoped he felt the same way.
"I know, Sara, the fact that you are here, telling me this shows that you will. There's a reason you have this job, and it's not your ties with me or the faculty." He gave her a knowing nod fallowed by the slightest smirk on his lips.
"And Sara, I might just take you up on that dinner offer."
Sara opened the door and stepped out, truing back to look inside.
"Please Bruce, fool me once..." She let the sentence drag on, then shut the door, watching as the limo pulled away and drove off to Gotham. She walked back inside shaking her head with a small smile on her face.

"It's not stalking! It's historical curiosity!" Querl Dox had been attending Hero High, technically auditing classes for about a month now, and apparently the fact that he was following around Clark Kent, Linda Lang and Karen Starr in sort of the same way a lost baby Zygorian wolfbeast would follow someone around was starting to be noticed. Lisa Snart had caught him hanging around outside of the girl's locker room one time too many and had thusly had him deposited in the dodgeball cart.
Lisa scoffed at him and her and the rest of the girls headed out of the gym.
Querl sighed. No Linda or Karen. Apparently, he'd been misinformed about their gym class schedules. And it SO was not stalking! He just wanted to know where the Superman...make that Superboy family was at all times.
And that they didn't hate him. That was really important. Not that they would, yet, given that the historic event of his ancestor attempting to shrink and steal the school hadn't occurred yet and wouldn't until the next school year, but still...
"Dude, what are you doing in with all the balls?" Wally West had dashed into the gym, preparing for next period's class. He found the little blonde-haired green kid and helped him out of the cart. "Is this some sort of future deal? Wanting to be surrounded by balls?" To his credit, Wally avoided snickering. Hey, maybe it WAS actually some sort of future thing.
"No. Just the typical pedantry of you evolutionarily deficient ape types and your backwards reactions to a more sophisticated evaluation of the gender binary."
"Oh. Kay." Wally righted Querl and shrugged. He didn't know the green kid from the future very well, but he'd heard he was only 12 years old, making him the youngest kid on campus. So maybe that was why he was kind of a jerk. Or maybe it was an alien thing. Or a future thing.
"Well the baseball team's going to be jogging in here in a bit, so you'd better stay off to the side so you don't get trampled, okay?"
"Baseball?" Querl's mind sorted through the facts he knew about baseball. Yes, he had a computer-like mind of an incredible intelligence, but whatever baseball was, he hadn't encountered it yet. "May I observe?"
"Sure." Wally pointed at the bleachers. "Just be sure you stay out of Chris's way. He's WAY intense about the baseball season."
