I only started drinking a year and a half ago, and before that I was a designated driver. I love driving. And yeah, I do fall asleep, but only in the mornings. sweatdrop
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v40/shiroko-chan/opel003.png here's what that sign post did to my car. scream
And I currently drive a black Yaris T-sport. It's veeeeeeery convenient, with not too great an appetite for gas, and a rather good engine since it's such a small and light car. http://billeder.bilinfo.dk/billeder350/122701225.jpg

My friends and I usually just crash wherever we started drinking and leave in the morning. And we generally ride in my friend's cheap little Honda. Or, more recently my friend's junk tank van. It takes a ton of gas and breaks down a lot though.
Kind of amazing the sign could do that much do your car.
I always prefer smaller cars, just because they're more maneuverable and generally take less gas. Makes sense to me, at least. I gotta admit though, as much as a piece of crap that van is, it's pretty comfortable.

yeah, especially since I was driving at around walking pace. it was just very old and rusty, I guess. Trying to wing it blindly on a turn isn't such a good idea, however well you might know the route.
I always hitch myself a place to crash somewhere downtown when I go out drinking, because I will under no circumstances pay for a taxi unless it's an emergency. talk2hand
And I want my cars small and powerful, and if that's impossible, I want a jeep that actually counts as a jeep, not some f-ing gas-guzzling and environment crapping SUV that's only good for driving on paved roads. Tsk.

Yeah, I don't mind sleeping in a car or or anything, but we usually just end up falling asleep waiting for someone to sober up. Not that I mind sleeping on the floor either.
Yeah, I'm too cheap to call a cab. I usually walk if I can, but going to another city makes that a little more difficult. And walking back from the places I would actually want to go to in town are on the other side of town, and I would really rather not walk through that part of the city at 2am and spend 2 hours walking uphill. All the friends I used to have around town went to college somewhere else.
And yeah, I hate people on Gaia. They seem to get more annoying as time passes.

I've gone camping in my car! We had a tent, but it rained so much the whole time we just gave it up and slept in the car.
I have atleast two friends who're willing to host me on a moments notice that live about 10 mins from the very central of Reykjavik (that's where it's AT!) And walking from there to my house is about 1-1 1/2 hrs. I'd be more willing to walk all the time if the darned weather could take a moment to get itself behaved. xp
Annoying spam msg count; 5 in less than 30 minutes.

I usually don't mind walking, I walk pretty much everywhere as it is. It's just the fact that it's basically uphill the entire way, and of course rains a lot during certain seasons. And traipsing drunkenly across the city in the middle of the night usually isn't the greatest plan anyway.
My friends either live in other cities/states now, live so close to me as to make the point moot, or have weird/crazy families or room mates that I can't deal with.

I have a problem with rain, especially if it's coming at you vertically/from all directions. And winter here is just cruel, I generally spend most of them inside where it's warm and less prone to snow-induced disasters.
In the summers I go everywhere by bike. cool I just hope this summer will be a bit dryer than the last.

Yeah, rain by itself is alright but once the wind picks up it gets to be a problem. I like the rain, I just hate getting wet. It's a pain to deal with. Winter here is generally like the other seasons, only with more wind and a bit more rain.
I would ride my bike more often but it's hard to ride because I'm not tall enough. It's an older bike and the frame is built pretty large. It's nice if I need to get somewhere quickly though. I kind of wish they made those skate boots in my size though, just so I could coast down hills and stuff.

I HATE getting wet. Unless I'm in a tub, pool or a shower. I like the wind more, because it can be so refreshing (and I used to go pretend wind-surfing when I was little, using my jacket as a sail). We never get warm wind though, it's always chilly, if not freezing. When I've gone abroad I've missed the coolness, and warm wind is always a grand "WTF" factor.
I'm generally afraid of having wheels stuck to my feet. Just as I'm only afraid of heights when someone else is holding me up off the ground.
Don't they have a list in the exchange or somewhere of all known rares anymore? What kind of an institute is this, anyhow!? mad
PG; where are you from? whee

PG, Where ARE you from, anyway?
See, I'm glad someone understands. I tell people that and they look at me weird, but I just hate being wet. It bothers me. I don't mind being in a pool (for the most part) and I like taking showers, I just hate being wet afterwards. And yeah, the wind here is pretty cold too. It's still pretty nice though, especially during the summer if it hasn't rained in awhile.
I can understand that, but I like the idea of being able to coast around on them. I got used to rollerblading and skateboarding when I was little. But I don't think I could skate anymore. I haven't tried in years, but I'm sure I'd fall off a skateboard anymore.
I don't really like standing on things and being high up. It's more the thought of instability than being high up that bothers me. Falling suddenly isn't pleasant. Or going up suddenly, as some people like to throw me in the air.
And yeah, they should have a few big lists at least.

Sticky towels, sticky hair.. clothes not fitting right and snagging on wet skin.. *shuuuuuuuuudder* and taking off a wet bathing suit is just... repulsing. gonk
I just have serious issues with trusting other people, especially if I'm counting on them to keep me from getting physically hurt. I mostly love driving because then I'm in control, while I'm jumpy as hell and went through a near phobia kind of stage when I was younger about being in cars driven by someone other than me. Just recently my friend was driving me around and I was so frightened I had to cover my eyes and cower down in my seat (which is also caused by the fact that she's not the best driver. rolleyes ). I don't like relying on things other than myself, but atleast I find more security in things of engineering than a flimsy bag o' meat that's as stable as a mop handle in wind. I wouldn't have a problem with parachuting or some such, since I'm the one responsible.
I can't find them. I've more or less only been in the guild system since it was first released. I post in the actual forums maybe once or twice a year, depending on my mood.

Luckily I don't have to worry about some of those things, though I still hate needing to walk around in wet trunks. I can't even swim, I don't know why I go to the pool with people. I hate dealing with all of it just the same. Especially when you need to wait out in the rain, dry off a little bit, only to get soaked again. Just not fun. I hate the way everything sticks to your skin, especially when it's not just "stuck" to your skin, but hangs, sticks to your skin, comes off, then repeats as you walk around. Or when something is so wet it's squishy. Ugh. It bothers me too, but not to an extent where I care all that much. I would rather do something myself most of the time, but there are times when it's unavoidable. It doesn't bother me that much anymore, though I still don't like having people drive me around that I don't know or trust in some way. Most of the time, at least. It's that wobbly feeling that I hate, when you know you're teetering and you're about to fall over. I normally have pretty good balance, so being knocked askew by something really puts me off. I hate standing on ladders and unstable surfaces for that reason. Being near edges on high places is sort of the same, since a good gust of wind pushes me around. I guess everyone just uses tektek now since it's convenient.

I mostly go to the pool because I like staying underwater, and.. uh. Playing shark. I really don't like being in a skimpy swimsuit around a lot of people. sweatdrop And I love being in high places, only not when there's someone else I'm worried for, like when I had a dog, etc. I'm generally rather clumsy, and I have a distorted sense of balance. I'm generally ready to try everything atleast once, though. http://www.geysir.com/Brekkulaekur/en/hiking/img/frueh1.jpgI really need to get drawing that comic. I wonder if I can call myself in sick. Edit; this is complete and utter thread highjack. Thankfully there aren't a lot of people thinking tonight.
