"I met them when they were camping in the summer, near where I used to live. I hit on Corri, but winded up making out with Billy." she admits. She doesn't know why she's being so open with a total stranger, but she feels comfortable with sakura.

Sakura has schooled herself very well at keeping up one [removed](gothlolli habit) so she doesn't let her face reflect that a little growing hope inside had just been squashed. She'd already grown rather fond of Terry... but oh well, wouldn't be the first girl she liked who she had to put up with being 'just friends' with. "Aa, that's... an interesting way to meet people."

Sakura takes the one offered to her. She's confused by Terry's explanation though, understanding the emphasis wrong, thinking it's on 'making out' and not on 'with boys', "People would shun you for... not making out?"

Terry shakes her head. "They're all a bunch of homophobic bigots. I'm nineteen and I've never had a boyfriend before, so they thought there was something wrong with me. They started rumors about me being a lesbian, which is true, but if they had known that, I would have been like, beaten up or something.... So I made out with Billy, and a few other guys, to prove them wrong. Hell, I've even slept with boys." she sighs and makes a face. "That is not an experience I care to *ever* repeat."

"I... guess since I come from Tokyo, I've never really had to experience anything like that." Sakura replies, trying to be empathetic to how difficult it must have been for terry... despite the fact that she was excited the other girl had admitted to being a lesbian... although not many people would tell someone that a few minutes after meeting someone, would they?
