*Chris was facepalming so hard. First, Achilles shattered the distraction plan with a punch. Who told him to drop the bookstore? I mean, they all hated it and wanted it gone but Chris was going to let the Skrulls do that when they laid siege to it.
Second, future boy! So smart but so dumb!*
Yo...brainiac. I'm gonna let you finish but first I'm gonna tell you...you just told a reporter that the Skrulls are infiltrating everything. YOU SAID WE HAD TO KEEP THIS A SECRET!
*Chris threw his arms up in the air and began to pace. Logan picked his teeth with a claw. Achilles looked confused. Poor guy didn't even know what he did was wrong. At least he saved the bags of guns. Including Chris's BFG.*
Okay...new plan. We need to lockdown the gym and draw the Skrulls here. If you guys can secure the area, I can get their attention.
*He armored up and scooped up the large duffel bag that Achilles toted over.*
I'll be on the roof.

"How did you kn-" Dox cut himself off after the older boy berated him. Was he trying to insult him by calling him 'Brainiac?' The Theft of Metropolis hadn't happened yet. Dox scowled.
"I said we need to get the word out to the unreplaceables. Lois Lane is the foremost unreplaceable out there, AND she has constant contact with the student body through her blog. Would you rather we just dragged her along without telling her a single thing? Do you think she would stand for that?" Dox didn't bother to mention his huge collection back home of Superman/Lois Lane/Supergirl memorabilia. This was not the time to mention he was a total Super-fanboy. He trusted Lois more than he trusted this sprock-face, non-skrull or not.
It was moot, though. Powell was too impatient and he wasn't going to wait to get ahold of more bodies. He was going to try to lure the skrulls to the gym and force a confrontation. If the incident became too large, all of the attention they didn't want was going to focus right on them.
"Mr. Howlett." Dox addressed the old man, still amazed at how much he resembled his older, future self. "If too many explosions start breaking out on campus, it's going to attract the attention of entities off-campus."
"Don't sweat it, Cho. Or whatever your name is." Logan stretched, cracking his neck. "A building blows up on campus here weekly. It takes something pretty big to seem out of the ordinary. That's been true for decades."
Dox wrung his hands. What if his future was being destroyed, right now? What if he was trapped here? What if-
"Hey. Stop looking like you swallowed a frog, kid." Logan thumped him on the shoulder in a way that was supposed to seem reassuring.
"But if we lose the gym-"
"Relax. I know the underground system under here like the back of my claws. This building's got a huge underground cavern underneath it. Used to be populated by Nazi experiments, but-"
"WHAT?" Dox's jaw dropped open. "It's right underneath us?!"
Logan raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, but no one's been down there since at least the 50's. They turned it into a bomb shelter then, but you don't really need one on a campus of invulnerable kids."
Dox's head spun. He did the calculations in his head...from the blueprints of the school from his era....the power requirements the Skrulls would need for their power-siphoning equipment....the square meterage needed to store the bodies...
"The missing students! They're right underneath us!" Oh, sprock. And Powell was about to alert the Skrulls to the fact that they were right above their nest!

"Teddy." Dani said softly rubbing his back. "I alerted Chris... but maybe we should head out... whenever your ready."
She knew he was still in shock or something. She had to find a way to get through to him... and she would.
She held his hand and waited for him to say something.

He wished he knew who his dad was, or that he had a sibling...or a girlfriend. Or whatever. But all he had was a smattering of friends and Wallace, who was kind of like a very adorable pet you fed plenty of alcohol and make-outs. "Where should we go?"

Dani thought for a moment she wanted to help him through this. Somewhere that was safe. She walked to the window looking out. There was some kind of commotion at the far side of campus... "That must b Chris's doing..."the she whispered under her breath. "We could go to the tunnels... and hide out. Skrulls dont knowknow abou it. It would give us some time to talk. If you wanted... or not. We could just sit." Did boys like to talk? She just wanted to help him.

All of those feelings, how could you ever put things like that into words? Instead, he slumped down into a seated position and wished someone would hold him and tell him this was a terrible dream and wake him up with a kiss on the forehead and a pancake breakfast. And he really wanted this person to be his mom.

*Chris pushed thoughts of the green kid annoying him and Achilles making a mistake and Cassie being in danger from his mind. He had to alert the Skrulls and the little toy he found in Castle's armory would do the trick.
Now, Chris is way too into pop culture and entertainment. Whether it's music, video games, tv, or movies, he's just a bit too obsessed with it all. And one of his favorite movies is Terminator 2. So when he saw the minigun in Castle's armory, he had to recreate one scene from the movie.*
Hehe.
*He strapped the minigun on and opened fire from the roof. Potted plants exploded and benches were chewed to bits. Students and teachers ran for cover. Chris made sure he didn't aim close to anyone. After all, he didn't know who was a Skrull and who wasn't.*
I'M BACK, SKRULLIES! BETTER SEND SOMEONE TO STOP ME!

And he really wanted this person o be his mom. Poor Teddy he was being more and more depressed by the second. He would barley talk she was sure he didn't talk that much before but still. "Teddy im so sorry about your mother... what they did to her. It was so awful! And..." she didn't know what else to do or say. She just sat next to him and held his hand. "I know we can't bring her back... nothing can, but she can live on through you." Everyone though that Dani was a sweetheart, no one ever knew about her darkside. But as the balance between light and dark. There was no doubt. Sometimes she let her darkside flare. So her next word would he was a surprise. "Teddy... you can get you're revenge. Destroy them. For your mother. Destroy the skrulls."

::What a beautiful day! The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and Clark felt great because he was conforming. The only negative was that he couldn't find Lois and help her to conform too! Mmmm...conforming with Lois...
Clark shook his head when Ms Prince contacted him on his cell phone. Some students were being hypnotized into not conforming! She asked him to put a stop to it right away. Get Powell off the roof, take Achilles away from the scene.
Clark flew towards the gym and saw Powell firing a gun at students and teachers!::
That is so not conforming!
::Clark flew down at the armored figure and tackled him right through the roof. The pair of them landed in the gym. A dizzy Powell lurched away from him.::
Anyone get the name of that-
: razz owell fell flat on his face. Ouch. Poor kid, it wasn't his fault he was hypnotized. A door banged open and in ran an angry Achilles. The Greek boy was issuing a challenge or something but Clark was busy thinking that he didn't want to collapse the gym while fighting Achilles.
Clark gathered himself and flew at Achilles, tackling and driving him through several doors and out of the gym.::
Let's continue this down by the lake, my hypnotized friend.

With Chris and Achilles plucked off the roof, Dox was left alone with Lois Lane and Logan. He tried to remember to breathe.
"Superboy. Wow!...." Dox clapped a hand to his forehead. That wasn't the real Superboy. That was a skrull. Fanboy moments wouldn't help out in this situation one jot. Soon, this place was going to be swarming with the skrullified teachers. He saw Logan pop out his claws.
"Looks like we're in for a bloody one, kids..."
"No! Wait!" This was exactly what Dox had wanted to avoid. "We can go down, into the tunnels."
Logan looked nonplussed. "They'll follow us down there, kid."
"That's fine! It won't be out in the open. And besides....I think all of the missing students are down there."
Logan raised an eyebrow. "You sure? I don't smell anything...."
"You've trusted me this far."
Logan reflected for a couple of seconds...and nodded. "All right. Let's haul a**. Come on, Lois." The three of them moved into the boiler room, and Logan pulled open a nearly-invisible door that led to his tunnel system. They began making their way down.
"Powell and Achilles..." Dox started. "They-"
"Can take care of themselves against one measly skrull. Don't worry about them." Logan cut him off. Dox wasn't so sure...not when that one skrull was Superboy.
About a half-mile of winding tunnel later, Logan pulled the two kids to a stop. He sniffed the air.
"Teddy and Dani. They're in the tunnel system."
"Should we go to them?" Logan held up a hand. He sniffed again.
"I smell electricity and equipment in this direction." He pointed in the opposite direction of Teddy and Dani. "That's the way we need to go."
"But the others..." Dox reflected. The skrulls would start pouring into the tunnels soon. Dani and Teddy could possibly be safe; if they'd done their job and convinced the skrulls they were on their side. But they had to be warned what was going on. Dox or Logan could go; but Logan was the best defense against the skrull swarm and Dox's knowledge would be needed if they were in fact heading towards the missing, kidnapped students.
Logan and Dox seemed to realize what needed to happen at the same time. Logan looked at Lois Lane.
"Lois. Do you think you can make it through the tunnels to meet up with Dani and Teddy alone?"

Teddy had remained quiet this whole time, his mind rattling away over the simple thought that his mother was dead. Pinch him, try to wake him, and unfortunately, this nightmare would still prove to be a reality. All of the things his mother had done for him, all of the times he had come home to her - they were over.
He didn't have a family right now. It was just him, and what did he matter?
Just him, by himself, if nobody cared?
He felt Dani take his hand, and he realized that she cared.
But she was just one person, and she'd get over him and move on if he stopped existing.
Oh wait, there was Wallace.
...and Wallace would miss him. Yeah. He would.
And Billy...maybe. He wasn't sure about Billy.
And Chris. Chris was kind of cool. Wally...Cassie...
Mr. Banner, that oily guy he kind of didn't really know, Hartley...that new alien kid.
All of those people, they were still his friends. It would be selfish and stupid to give up now. He had to stop the Skrulls to save them, all of them conforming all over the place. Billy was one of them, so maybe he'd stop being so....weird.
"....Destroy the skrulls." His mind came back in to focus on what Dani was saying. Sure, he supposed he could do that. They still trusted him, didn't they? They wanted to trust him, and if he could convince them that he was still on their side, maybe it would all work.
There was the sound of footsteps, one pair, and he looked up at Dani. "Someone's coming." Immediately he shifted, turning large and green. If it was a Skrull, he'd be ready to convince them that he was ready to be king...if it wasn't, well...he'd have to wait and see.

"Huh? What do you see?" She sat up, Witchblade was on the defensive. Dani squinted a little. It was dark and there was very little light but a figure could be made out.
"Wait Teddy... I..." she paused squinting "I think thats Lois. Lois Lane??"
She looked at Teddy and shrugged. She couldn't be a skrull since she diidnt have powers...
"What are you doing here, Lois?"

"I am Sam Lane's daughter. Walking down a tunnel is nothing."
::she started off down the tunnels, wandering for a while, thinking about SuperBoy. How dare a Skrull impersonate ]SuperBoy. Just the pure rudeness involved was staggering to her. If she was going to date him, she'd damn well better find him. She picked up her pace, finally running into Dani and Teddy.
::Lois stopped when Dani addressed her::
"yeah, Green Kid from the future put me in charge, so.. yeah. Let's get with the finding and freeing of teachers. K? K. "

"He's ok?" Teddy was relieved that Cho/Not Cho was all right. It made him feel a little better...not much, just a little.
