Hebal shook her head "Na uh, we don't have any stories about how we came about we just basically assume one day we popped up out of nowhere. And sometimes Zadina when people are really really mean to you it helps to make such gestures, it's a way better thing to do than punch her" she giggled spotting Alpha still gazing at the trolley. "Help yourself, the lady who makes all those drinks likes everyone to have them" she told him pointing out the owner's shy nod from afar.
Alpha grinned settling for a black coffe "Thanks lady" he told her moving away seeing that she appeared nervous "I know, I remember her carrying them around the village.last time we visited. But don't make those gestures if yo can avoid it, it's not a ladylike behaviour. So have a rant from time to time and you won't need to" he chuckled.

Satoshi smiled pulling Gil along through the fields by the hand "We're not at war with anyone at the moment but it also stops ninjas from sending armies against us without our knowing. Alliences are very fragile things and often some places will break them the moment they get a slightly better offer. But as you can see, all is quiet today and almost not a fiend in sight" she added watching in the distence a roaming lupin fiend.
Hayate shrugged "Yeah she has a couple of friends about though rarely gets the opportunity to venture around various parts of the city and forest. Oh and that reminds me, I should have a chicobo back home by now since that egg was due to hatch a while ago" he grinned allowing Wedge to fly onto the table and steal a strip of his bacon.
Felina shuffled back, surprised by the birds movements "Oh yeah, I remember you had that egg, glad it remained healthy and undamaged. And Corella has a lot more friends at her age than either me or Elithana had since she fits in more with the average noblewoman" she pointed out offering some of her milkshake to Oassu. "I guess it will be interesting to try doing some building work while there... not something I've ever imgined doing for sure" she pondered.

Gil nodded watching Enkidu spot the other Lupine and playfully chase after it as it ran from the bigger lupine fiend "Lupine fiends are nothing anyway, as I've shown you can tame them if you work hard enough at it but it's good that you're at peace right now, the major factions of the world spend most of their time at peace, well until Alex disrupted the balance, but I don't see why you ninja can't get along for a while" he said.
Oassu frowned glaring at the bird in case it eyed his food "Hey Wedge" he said trying some of Felina's milkshake "Though you don't need to do building work, I imagine your dad and mum would go nuts at the thought of an Elven Princess breaking her back lifting bricks and stuff" he said "Is Cid hungry by the way?" he asked.
Zadina scratched his head "Strange most cultures are more interested in their history but ok if you say so Miss Hebal" he said "That Viera always seems so nervous when we see her, even when Alpha is in his friendly old man form" he muttered wondering why she was so uneasy.
Jeckhart nodded thankfully at the coffee Viera "Thank you very kindly, it is good work you do here today" he said taking a cup of coffee for himself before moving on "She might be shy because we are outsiders, though you should be more at peace with your own kind Hebal" he added "Hmm it seems the band isn't playing today" he sighed sipping his coffee.

Hebal shook her head with a small sigh "Theres always going to be some distence between me and the rest of the viera round here because I never grew up in a forest which means to many of them I may as well be an outside and as for our history most of them have just accepted but all records either didn't exist or were lost due to lack of communication between villages" she explained waiting until they were away past the nervous viera "Don't worry about her, she's an incredibly shy lady regardless of who you are"
Alpha turned his head only just noticing the band stand "I'm guessing its getting too cold for the band and too icy to be moving the larger instruments about the place. Though if you talked to other villages more one or two might have some idea of viera history that you never knew about. History isn't that important but its nice to have an idea of"

Satoshi laughed "Well theres all sorts of problems, like conflicting goals and missions. Like we might be having to deal with bandits who are robbing a village who just so happened to hire a bunch of ninjas from an other less moral village to stop people getting in their way. And fortunately the influence of Alex is yet to reach this part of the world though that is not to say that his actions haven't turned a few heads towards Agralia"
Hayate snickered "Maybe you should stick to something less physically demanding, besides a lot of builders aren't the sort of people you would get on with I don't think" he said before giving Wedge a whistle to return to his shoulder seeing that the bird had hopped across the table hoping to try his luck at getting the bacon from Oassu too.
Felina hesitated looking back at Cid within her bag "Nope he's fine today and probably the only one this morning who found the airship breakfast to be delicious" she joked lifting him out of her bag and onto her lap "I think I would be ok, could heal my back no problem and my parents would never know"

Gil shrugged watching Enkidu chase the other lupine over the fiend before galloping back in their direction "Well I suppose that's their choice in their line of work, I have to turn away dozens of simple jobs like that though hopefully you'll steer clear of Alex's mess for a long while" he said.
Oassu smiled "Well if you break your back lifting something too heavy you'll be in no condition to fix it nevermind get married or adventure anymore so please don't push yourself too hard if you do try that" he said finishing his food seeing that Wedge had left his food alone.
Zadina frowned giving Hebal a gentle hug "Aww don't be sad, you've seen loads of awesome things by going outside the forest Miss Hebal you wouldn't have met me or Miss Satoshi or Mari or Cap'n Alpha or anyone!" he said.
Jeckhart smiled "In this weather you must be really popular with people Alpha given your temperature and things though I thought the Viera would be ok with the temperature given their fur coating" he said watching the Toddler Viera contine their snowball fights.

Alpha shruged "Not really, on the one hand I look scary in my demon form and then in my human form people don't know I can warm myself up or just assume I'm a normal person. But what I mean is that the mobility of viera is limited because of the footwear they have to use. Wouldn't do any good if they slipped like Hebal did earlier carrying the heavy stuff" he explained further
Hebal smiled nodding her head happily "Yeahuh, I've met awesome nice people so I'm not too fussed really if I never get on as much with all these guys. No offence to them or anything but you guys are way more interesting" she giggled rounding them all up into a group hug, only letting go as she felt a hard tug against her clothing.
"Umm hi guys. Zadina, shouldn't you be off travelling somewhere. I heared you were off fighting with the people in the sky in some ultimate warrior tournament?" greeted a rather curious Ardie, especially regarding the additional party member.

Satoshi nodded with a small shudder "Yeah lets hope that nothing to do with Alex gets near my village. Worst case scenario my village did get hired by him to do his dirty work I might have to defect but the good thing about where I live is that they won't kill off eachother without a very good reason for doing so beyond the money. Meaning in theory I will be fine. Do many people offer you work that involves doing really bad stuff still?" she wondered stopping briefly to pull leaves from a specific plant growing by itself in the middle of the field.
Felina groaned "Well theres always white mages like Therora who could probably fix me up all good as new if something like that happened to me while helping out. You nd your many clones could always assist me in the lifting though if you're worried about me hurting myself like that. Oh and I could always cast float on it and just push it along if need be" the thought suddenly occured to her.
Hayate grumbled still not happy about the idea "Theres only so much for broken stuff a white mage can do, would be so painful it wouldn't be worth it even if one could make a full recovery. Sometimes it's best to just accept that you can't do everything and what others can do" he advised giving Wedge the rest of his bacon "Sorry about him. He just likes bacon that much over his normal meat for some reason"

Gil shrugged "Everyone has a different story, various reasons as to why their company or country or faction deserves my aid, I just pick the one that's most deserving, it's not too uncommon to have both sides of a conflict asking for my help though while I should hope you wouldn't defect to Alex's side I would probably just stay out of that conflict altogether" he said
Oassu smiled "Relax dear this is just something for me to do to keep myself busy while I'm staying in Yithra since I'm sure your mother and sister will want to drag you away for wedding and Dragon Festival talk anyway" he said "Besides it's probably a little cold to spend all my time in the swimming pool" he said finishing his breakfast.
Jeckhart smiled sensing the surprise and curiosity in the young Viera that greeted them "Hmm you'd think they'd have designed some special snow shoes by now to deal with it but it's not especially icy in here, since not much moisture gets through that canopy" he said pausing as the group stopped.
Zadina gasped "Oh Miss Ardie I didn't see you there" he said bowing politely "Yes we were we went to this big sword tournament and Sir Gilgamesh won it very well "You'd have really enjoyed it I think there were Viera and Moogles and humans and all sorts there fighting in this big Arena thing" he said happily smiling at the sight of Ardie "Oh and keep it a surprise for now but we're going to take Amane on a holiday this dragon festival" he added in a whisper.

Hebal grinned patting the top of Ardie's ears "Jeckhart, Alpha meet Ardie. She's one of Amane's friends from school. And it's very rare to get quite so much snow like this so very few people have bothered trying to make ice skates and the like for viera" she giggled picturing some specially healed skated. "So wheres Amane today? Is she playing and how is everyone else?" she asked cheerfully.
Ardie groaned but gave Zadina a nod "Hey no fair how you guys and Amane get to have all the interesting action. If Amane doesn't want to travel I would be happy to take her place as its always boring and uneventful in this place" she complained glancing up at Hebal surprised at being patted. "Nice to meet you sirs. Last time I checked Amane was off to see Yenytai. She came round to see if I could join earlier but my momma was being mean and insisted I cleaned my room before I went out. So as you can see I'm having a bad day"
Alpha chuckled smiling at Ardie "It's not so bad now, your parents just want you to have a nice clean room so it doesn't go all smelly from dirt making your nose hurt. And just think, when your older you'll be able to go elsewhere on your pilgrimage so in the meantime enjoy yourself here" he assured her.

Satoshi sighed "I mean I would have to defect against the village since theres no way I'm going to fight for that jerk but conflict sometimes is impossible to avoid and sometimes you just have to get on with it in order to save others. But how do you decide that a side is more deserving than the other. Often theres never a clear villain in a conflict" she asked preparing herself for the upcoming hike uphill.
Felina shrugged "All the pools are heated in the winter and cooled in the summer but if thats what you want to do then fine. I doubt you would be too interested in looking around at wedding dresses for me and don't you humans have some sort of don't look at the dress until the day superstition anyway?"
Hayate snickered "Don't think you'll be off the hook Oassu, they will want your measurements for a suit and will want to know other little details like how your gonna go through a ceremony without speaking the language. Best to get what you can out the way people will make a right fuss over you"

Gil smiled watching Enkidu pausing waiting to see why they'd stopped "Well that would be awkward but hopefully the conflict won't escalate into a world war so you ninja's won't be dragged into it, must be an unusual life an entire village for mercenaries" he said scratching his chin in thought before starting on his way up the hill
Oassu nodded "Yeah not allowed to see the bride in her wedding dress before the wedding, it's bad luck" he said frowning at the thought of being someone's dressup doll "And I think I asked Felina to teach me the ceremony and stuff in Elven so I can help out though a number of non-Elven people will be present so it's not really fair to them but I suppose it is a national event for Elves." he said.
Jeckhart bowed politely to the young fencer "It's a pleasure to meet you Ardie though cleanliness is important and you should focus on the more good things, for example your day shouldn't be bad any longer now that you have finished your chores and are out to play you needn't dwell on the past" he said.
Zadina nodded "Cap'n Alpha is right Miss Ardie once Miss Amane has finished her training we can go travelling all over the world together so much I'm sure you'll miss your forest in no time at all but is Miss Melanae out and playing as well?" he asked glancing up at Hebal "We should hurry and see Miss Amane and Yenytai soon!" he said eagerly "You should come with us too Miss Ardie." he added

"But my room wasn't dirty" Ardie mumbled under her breath but removed a sweet from her pocket and offering it to Zadina "Yeah I suppose I have travelling to do but I don't think I'll miss this place too much, only some of the people in it. Melanae is probably out playing with Amane if she isn't still grounded"
Hebal paused glancing from Zadina to Ardie "How about you guys go meet up with Amane and play with her if you give me some idea as to where you go to play with Yenytai and we'll catch up with you once we've seen the elder about letting her go. If you leave your letter then you don't need to put on a mega scary dude I'm an elven lord act" she giggled.
Alpha smirked "Yeah I'll just put my serious face on in front of the elder while you two are having fun. You might moan and groan about your mum now but you'll miss her when on a pilgrimage no doubt and I bet you just had too much stuff in your room."

Satoshi laughed starting the climb "You would probably like that sort of place to live if the jobs were a bit cleaner and less dodgy/sneaky at times though if I ever settle down and have a family I would rather they didn't grow up in a ninja village which will probably surprise you. Somewhere nice and private ideally away from politics and conflicts"
Hayate nodded having heared of that tradition before "Well if you want I'll teach you some of the elvish you need. No offence to you Felina but I think it would probably be more helpful to learn it from someone who doesn't have it as their first language" he offered "But I'm sure the people who cant speak elven could get the overall gist of the ceremony and if they don't I'm sure cheering will be a give away"
Felina smiled glad she remembered "Yeah I think I might have to tell two or three people about that one as we have no tradition like that in elven weddings meaninf somewhat might try and wave it into your face" she laughed, playing with her cutlery. "I suppose you could teach him though it means less excuses to disappear for a while if all the family get annoying.

Gil shook his head "I don't know if I would, mercenaries come in all shapes an sizes but I can imagine why you wouldn't want it. Would mean your kids getting snatched for ninja duty which can be dangerous, the mercenary life isn't for everyone." he said.
Oassu shrugged drinking his orange juice "Sure just so long as I learn enough for the service, it'll be fine though I imagine it'll be a big citywide celebration as opposed to a small deal huh?" he said a little confused about the scale of the wedding.
Zadina beamed happily "Oh that's a wonderful idea Miss Hebal" he said fishing around in his robes for the letter before handing it to Hebal "Now lets go see Miss Amane and maybe visit Miss Melanae if she is grounded, it's no fun being stuck at home but why would she be grounded?" he asked hopping a small distance away from the group ready to run when Ardie joined him
Jeckhart smiled "It's certainly lovely to see the children getting along so well, Zadina must've made a few friends when he was last here" he said watching Zadina hop eager to go "Still lets get along and meet the Elder, you'll have plenty of time to play with Amane when next here" he said.
