It's the transparent thin layer of membrane that seperates your external ear from your middle ear. Often sometimes just called the "ear drum"? People pop it when they have middle ear infections and pus builds up. Potassium cyanide is actually given in powder form. I meant to say potassium chloride actually, through syringe. Well potassium cyanide, two things - elevated potassium outside cells causes a depolarization block. To make it more simple, screws up your nervous system. Cyanide is this chemical drug that inhibits a certain step in the metabolic pathway, which prevents ATP (our body's energy source) from being made. . . . okay, that helps a little. . . sweatdrop Kyla actually got me even more confused trying to tell me about ATP... she is taking an Anatomy and Physiology class right now...
