Ran Kizama *Ran walked slowly with Maralah(sp?) and Remmy close by. They were being nice, but it kind of made Ran a little nervous, seeing as how Remmy used to despise him. He shook his head and thought it better not to question the mood change* So...uh...what are you guys going to do about La Mort? He kind of knows what some of you look like now. *He thought a bit more* And I know what ALL of you look like and I might help him if my other persona kicks in. *He stopped as they reached his apartment building and looked at them, wondering what they wanted him to do*

((It's not that you need to be smarter, you just need to try to pay attention to the time span. I'd wait at least another few days to attack them again. After all, La Mort needs time to recoop from his losses. The cards used to steal the cards obviously come from his power))

Kai stay silents while listening to Franki. He then debated on which of the many questions asked to him he would answer first. But before he could, he listened to Kishi talk once more. After that, the boy simply shook his head from side to side. "No, I don't think Franki's conversations are nonsense," he replied gently. He then rubbed his chin, pondering on what to say next. "Let see...I'm a only child and I live with my father. But I am more closer to the servants than I am with him since he is hardly ever around," he sighed at the end. "I guess you can say I do well in school. And I love sports! All of them! They are just so much fun," he exclaimed. Kai was becoming more and more comfortable with the girl.

::she frowns a bit when he meantions not being close to his father then practicaly beams at him when he meantions loving sports:: terrific! do you play any? or are you just one of those "fans" who like to watch but don't play ::seems a bit disgusted. once again, she plows on ahead:: maybe we could play a little one on one sometime, that'd be great! it'd even help our team work, Kishi, since that would allow us to get to know how the other thinks in a competive sense and blah blah blah.... stinks about your dad though ::bouncing back to Kai:: if you were part of my family it'd be more a matter of trying to get the family off your back so you can a little alone time, but you'd get used to it... and trust me, i do ramble when i'm hyper like i am now, and i kinda have to say, i feel a bit bad for Kishi, considering he'll have to put up with me more than any of you... but then i guess he'lll just have to shut me up by talking... should be fun... ANYWAY do you play?

Kai smile and nods along with Franki. He really tell she loved to talk. "No, I'm a player!" he exclaimed. He became sadden at the metion of her family being 'in touch'. He would do anything to get that kind of attention from his father. He then listened along how Kishi was stuck with Franki. This made him even more disappointed. He had yet to find his guardian and it made him feel left behind from all the others.

*Ran thought about that for a moment and sighed, looking away from Remmy* I'm not sure. I'd do anything to have my family back, and I...I don't know. I suppose I would if he could bring them back, but then again, he's never shown any real compassion. *He scratched his head and slid a hand in his pocket* I'm just being confusing...aren't I?

Remmy walked forward and hugged him again. "Ran, I tried to explain this before, but he can't bring them back. The cards can only grant the power that it states and there is nothing that would bring them back and if he knows necromancy then it should not be used. Necromancy is just making them live as puppets. Please think about that."

::with her arm still drapped around his shoulders, she could feel the slight changes as his moods shift:: great! we'll play sometime... you know.... whether the others admit it or not, we've become a family now ::this softly, slightly more serious, though not really by much. it was hard for her to get serious and stay serious:: we're gonna go through a lot together and in order for us to survive, we NEED to be a family.... ::she pauses, considering this statement... need to be a family? Remmy's parents didn't even seem to remember she exsisted, Kai's father ignored him, Hyozan's father was gone and he was left to feel he had to take responsiblity for his family, none of he gaurdians seemed to have ever really had anyone but each other and Kishi seemed to have pushed them away even then... was she the only one with a more or less totally happy home life? (forgetting for the moment just how terrible her brothers could be when they wanted):: we're definately a disfunctional family ::she says softly, more to herself than anyone else:: but i'll fix that ::confidently. surprisingly, there were very few things that were truely important to Franki. the things one might thing of, privacy, honesty, reliablity, stability... none of those things mattered to her. privacy she never had much of so she delt with it, honesty... well... eight older siblings, she expected people to lie every now and again... just becasue she didn't often didn't mean she was naieve enough to think no one else did reliability? things happen, get over it. stability? what's wrong with a litte uncertainy in your life? but Friends were very important. she would do almost anything for friends, and though it didn't take her long to decide someone was her friend she was actually quite picky about it. she was only ever friends with someone she felt she WOULD do anything for. the only thing more important thna friends was family. perhaps it was because of her backgroud, but family had always been number one. if it ever came down to a choice between something for her or something for the family.. well... family won out. this was, maybe, the reason she understoon Ran's reasons for going to La Mort when there was obviously no chance of getting his family back... she probably would have done the same thing. she knew what a family meant, at least to her, and that was exactly how she was starting to view the card captors and their guardians.... not friends, more than that... they were like a whole little family on their own. a little chaotic right now, but it was new... she nodded. yeah, she'd fix it up, polish it off, and it'd be a good solid family... one they'd all be proud of, she was sure... even Cranky Kishi. in the midst of all this serious thinking, one final tought bubbled to the serface....:: seduce.... ::and she starts chuckling helplessly::

*Ran felt her hug and shook his head. She was right, but Ran didn't want to believe it. He wanted to believe that there was a chance. He wanted to believe that there was hope. After a moment, he broke away from her hug and stepped back a few steps* Well, yeah. Listen, thanks for walking me home, but I think I'll fine here on out so...I guess I'll see you later. *Ran smiled weakly and turned to go up the stairs to his 2nd floor apartment*

A warm smile then appeared on Kai's face at the thought of the others being a family to him...a real family. This made him really happy. He then looked over at Franki as she started to laugh. "What's so funny?" he asked, raising an eyebrow in question.

Ran.... it's what we call his bad side... Scuro means "dark" Buon means "good"... good Ran, bad Ran... Buon, Scuro... easier to remember him that way... have you met him yet? technically he's our enemy since he works for La Mort and all, and he's got split personalities, Scuro and Buon of course. but he's a decent guy... just got fooled by La Mort and he's a friend of mine... with the understanding that when it comes to the cards we're on opposite sides of the fence of course
