"Eh..."

Hadn't expected her to jump up like that, but he did expect a hug. He returned it after the surprise wore off. She seemed a bit different, but he knew Madison when he saw her. There weren't that many rabbit-types around here, which was actually kinda odd since he'd heard that there was a separate race of them. It was also said they stuck to the woods, so who knew.

"Who else would let you jump on them like this?" He leaned down to let her off easy. "Let go... you doing that reminded me how hungry I am." Actually, Sun and Max just passed them and now Sunstrike was clamoring for attention.

Assuming Madi got back down, and even if she clung to him as if releasing would just absolutely kill her because she missed him so much... he hugged again. "What... what're they doing," he inquired of her.

Madison laughed at Laz's statements, not entirely sure if he was serious or not. She highly doubted that he was THAT hungry. And besides, she didn't taste that good anyways. Or at least that was her personal opinion about the manner.

"I'm not entirely sure, but I guess it's time to find out. " She smiled and finally wondered on over to where the table was. She was very excited now, someone she knew and things were getting organized! What could possibly go wrong? Madison had whizzed her way over and grabbed herself a chair.

Her eyes widened at the size of the meat platter, if only they could do that with a pile of carrots that would be magical. Madison had than looked at the parchment that was supposed to be written on and then she looked back at Max. She had seen him before, she knew she had. But she couldn't put her finger on it. And it was really starting to annoy her.

With a shrug, she looked back at the parchment in hopes to see what Sun had up his sleeves.

"That's a lot of food..."

Twitch whistled at the plate as she got her chair, then went ahead and did a mental count of everyone who was near and started pulling chairs enough for just about everyone. She looked between Max and Sun, before addressing the more lively of the two.

"Just what're you up to, sir?"

Damion put his hands where nonexistant pockets would be as Sunstrike and Maximos came back, standing next to the table with his eyes half open. He was neither purturbed by the meat and blood that Maximos had, nor was he shocked into any further point of wakefullness by Sunstrikes words. He watched the table, a now more dutiful soldier, and waited for something to spring fourth.

Kurosakii Ichigo

PostPosted: Sun Aug 24, 2008 6:54 pm

In light of all of the recent entrances into the Firebrand, Ichigo stood up, returning him from his otherwise lack of alertness. Some of them were familiar faces to him, while others were those he hadn't noticed before. He figured he'd be finding out more about just who was in on this fight against oblivion in good time.

Among those he saw, he noticed the wolf man he had seen back at the Stadium...the one known as Lazenca. A smile came to Ichigo's face, seeing that the guy had gotten out of that mess safely.

The group seemed to be setting up tables with food while Ichigo was off staring into space. He figured it was just like what he usually did with his allies when they sat around Urahara's table, trying to figure out what to do next about the threats they faced. Thinking about his allies reminded him of Yusuke, who had either left the Firebrand hours ago to his own base of operations or was just off doing his own thing as usual. Ichigo would take note to fill the spirit detective in on things later if he didn't show up.

Ichigo knew he should sit down at the tables, but he didn't want to intrude on their hospitality, and his hunger wasn't yet at a fever pitch. He knew it'd hit him in the head sooner or later, but for now he felt fine. Nevertheless, he stood there, minding himself until...

Sunstrike
Thank you, and a big thank you to everyone for getting this whole set up organized! Cause you're still here must mean your interested! This is good, very good!"

Now that Sunstrike was calling everyone to attention, Ichigo didn't want to miss any of what he was preparing. So he decided to sit down...albeit unsure where to sit. But he figured it probably didn't matter in the end, so he simply took the next unoccupied seat nearest to Sunstrike. ((Ehh...I'll leave it up to whoever wants to dictate who Ichigo sat next to))

Somewhere about the tavern (most likely near the group), stood/leaned the tribesman. Some time or another he'd made his way in and had just taken to standing around and listening. He recognized a handful of people from the stadium who had gotten onto the heli, but he didn't have any particular urge to approach them. Listening and following until the fighting started suited him more.

For now, he'd stay as part of the background and just listen. He was pretty good at that, at least.

Katie watched as things started to unfold. Laz came over to speak with Madison. It was obviously a reunion of sorts. Then, Maximos and Sunstrike came waltzing back into the Firebrand. She had been waiting. Actually, she was only going to give them a few more minutes before going out to look for them.

She nodded back at Sunstrike as he went by. He had a huge smile going on, so she figured it must have gone better than expected.

And she would follow everyone to get this meeting started. She would pick a random chair that Twitch had set out and take a seat.

Thoughts ran rampant through her mind, wondering what exactly this parchment's significance was.

Never was a dull moment here, that was for sure. The moment he entered, he was nearly run over by a girl with cobalt hair and an outfit to match. In short order things were starting to fall into motion - he greeted Katie back before heading towards the bar, but not quite making it. More commotion had cropped up, thanks to the return of Sunstrike and Maximos.

By now, most of the evening crowd was shuffling out, allowing only those who had come here with a purpose other than a night of food and drink to settle in. Watts was busy removing some of the more unruly customers - despite his short stature, he had a way of convincing you it was time to go.

Hands stuffed in his pockets, Rage took a few steps towards the little crowd at the door. He was sure he had seen the long-ears girl before. It was a passing recollection; probably caught her on a highlight reel from the Heaven or Hell tournament. He tapped her on the shoulder.

"Hey."

You, with the loud... everything.

"Do I know you from somewhere?"

Looked like Sun and Max were doing something. The show was about to begin.

((Euuuggghhh, Chrisssss. That maggoty meat was for my benefit wasn't it? Last time I tell you my horror stories DX< ))

A petite, cloaked figure illuminated by the moon strode up the well worn path to the bar and grill. Her passing made not a sound, nor would anyone 'sense' the being with anything other than simple sight. Her cloak and mantle were of purest white, seemingly undirtied by whatever means of travel had brought her here. And while one could not see the features obscured within the depths of the snowy hood, there was something innately feminine about the muddled figure beneath the swath of fabric.

A delicate and tanned hand reached out from beneath the folds of fabric and grasped the doorknob of the establishment, letting herself in, but not removing her hood to reveal any distinguishing features.

What she found, the sight beholden to her was... disappointing.
PostPosted: Sun Aug 24, 2008 9:36 pm

Disappointing? Was Lazenca's dashing figure not a sight to behold? Was he not the epitome of wulf-manliness? WAS SHE NOT ENTERTAINED?!

"...Huh."

Seemed like most people were getting more or less kicked out, those who weren't able to take the hint that something above their heads was happening. Since he was still kinda close to the door like some other people, a passing glance to watch a mildly drunk guy was normal enough. He didn't spot Reiyvian until she was already in.

"Hey, it's the pretty Guardian lady who's too pure to be hit on. What're you doing here, Rei?"

Yes, Rei. He'd stumbled over her name a few times, so decided that as long as she didn't pitch a fit, he'd shorten it.

Asherah turned around after talking with Madison. She blinked, it was the man she had almost ran over just a few minutes ago.

"Oh! Hi there Mr. Rage!" Giggling with randomness, She hugged him and bounced a big. She was always so quick to hug people. "Yeah you do. It's okay though, I know you've forgotten my name, it's Asherah. How are you?"

Some part of Anuksu was glad to see Maximos and Sun return. He had merely hoped that he had misread Max's facial features, and that it had all been a mistake.

Dismissing his bat chair, Anuksu walked over to where the others were gathered, not only did he need to know everything he could about the situation, but if he was going to make them believe he was one of the heroes, he was going to have to really play along. He took a seat somewhat near Maximos, so as to show his interest further, and he sat quietly waiting for Sunstrike to begin.

Damion snapped back to reality as more people entered the building, blinking blearily and looking around. No one had said anything yet, he could afford to divert his attention for a breif moment. He noted the cloaked figure by the door, Wulf, Rage, and likely everyone else but he only knew afew and really didn't care enough anyways. Likely he would care more later, just not right then.

The earth elemental chose that point to sit down, across from Anuksu infact, laying his head down on crossed arms and pretending to sleep, head cocked to the side so that his eyes could still see alittle bit.

Was it just him, or was there some sort of sign over his head that said "hug me" that he just couldn't see? He was beginning to think he had received more hugs than handshakes in the course of his life, and this was no different.

"I've been better."

His arm was still sore. All that twisting and prodding from earlier made it feel like his arm was just one big bruise mark. For all he knew it actually was. Despite his decidedly less than happy tone, he forced himself to talk. "And you?"

A smile emerged from the depths of the hood, followed by glittering amethyst eyes. Next, long pointed ears that glittered with chiming gold cuffs and dangling finery as befit any elf, noble or base. The face was strikingly beautiful, but the features were young. Falling more towards a classic young beauty than that of a seductive and matured woman.

She looked anywhere between 12 and 16. A budding blossom of womanhood, unspoiled and for eternity would remain so, although the white cloak obscured her lithe figure within it's folds.

A simple gold circlet adorned her head, glittering from beneath wavy honeyed locks of silken hair, falling to her thighs. Her smile widened as she glanced at the wolf playfully.

"It's a good thing I didn't want to go unannounced lest there be foes amidst friends. But you wouldn't let anyone eat me now would you Laz?"

She grinned at him and tossed him a jerkin of dried and seasoned meat from the butcher back at the guild, flashing a hint of gold bracer on her forearm.

"Figured you'd be needing some of our wonderful jerky on this venture."
