Well Les Italia it seems like you have a good idea what you are going to do with your army. If you're going to scrap the voxs I reccomend you put those points into buying sharpshooters for your support squads and upgrading your senior officer's power sword into a powerfist. You run the risk of not hitting at all but I prefer to hit big and never had luck rolling 5's to wound. IIR the point correctly there should be enough points in the voxs and master voxs to do it.
Also I tend not to give my command squads melta guns since I keep them in the back of my lines to be a counter assualt squad and they don't tend to get into shooting range of enemies who aren't in assualt already. Of course if you use them differently feel free to disregard. Also maybe take the lascannon off the leman Russ's and use those points to buy las cannons for one of the support squads. Lascannons cause right now you don't have anything to crack Broadsides or Terminators and they double your chances to break Landraiders, and monoliths.

yeah I looked into what you said and I think I would have to agree. I need to modify my command squad and scrap the melta. Lascannons might be nice against a few select armies but I find autocannons and missile launchers much more versatile and hopefully I will be adding storm troopers to my squad soon with some meltas and they'll be able to take care of armor and terminators if the need be. And yeah, sharpshooters is a definite 3nodding

Sounds good what are you thinking of besides taking out the melta gun?

Well they are more versitile but the Lascannons are the big boys in the infantry's arsonal and will be much better at cracking transports from far away than the missle launchers and you don't need them in close like the meltaguns. Beyond that I would be remiss if I didn't tell you that in the game I playtested with a squad of stormtrooper there extra armor allowed me to save 4 times the first time they were assualted which incidently was the same turn they ran. Of course it's possible that I didn't use them properly and I accept that but just understand that I really don't like stormtroopers.

Best Disipline for support squads. 3nodding

the best thing i had happen with stormtroopers. They deepstruk in and lost half the models to proximity. 5 left they proceeded to rapid fire and use their flamer, killing 75% of a kroot squad with shaper. The Kroot broke and fled off the table. The storm troopers subsequintly were destroyed next turn by 2 squads of battlesuits

Yeah, I'll probably need to add some lascannons in there but like i said lascannons are really only neccessary against a few select teams and missile launchers have frag missile which is useful against orks/imp/tyranids etc. however, you make a good point as i dont want to fall victim to terminators obliterators monoliths and the like. i want to try some stormtroopers for deep strike/infiltration and really for effective armor vs. ranged weapons you need a 4+ save. i'm planning to use them for behind enemy lines using meltaguns and melta bombs to destroy armor while my infantry chews them up from a long distance...i dunno how that would work as I have never used storm troopers but its worth a try. I was also looking into veterans, more special weapons and heavy weapon possibility...what do you guys think?

I like to forget to make my reserve rolls. Which really i dont want to but somhow it happens. But for me I pick a valuable target and drop them practicaly on top of it, Rapid Fire and hit it with flamers. It should be dead by then because if not you wont get another chance cause the stormtrooper are gonna become a fire magnet next turn

yeah well thats to be expected that was my intention anyways. maybe i should start mechanizing my army instead mass chimeras might be more effective than stormies

Can't do that. Witch Hunters can only be allied with Daemon hunters, Imperial Guard or Space Marines. It's stated in the codex.

Isn't Armored Company IG, though?

I made some cool IG conversions. But, is it me, or is the IG becomming a fad among players?

I'm pretty sure that they are even thought they do have very different force organization charts. But Deathwing and raven wing are still space marines even though they have very different forces so I think they are still considered IG.
Srry that didn't come out very well.

What I meant to say was that the IG AC list cannot be used as allies for an Inquisition army. It's printed down somewhere in one of those docs, I'm pretty sure of it.

Did they provide some reasoning for this ruling?
