Good stuff.
Considered tyranid or furies' wings instead of the angelic style?

Yep, fully intending on Fury wings for the Seraphim, at least.
I also hate the SoB head/haircuts so I'm either going to model enclosed helms on all of them, or, if I'm lucky and can purchase some Daemonettes cheap (preferably secondhand) I'll chop off their heads for use on the SoB. I also considered giving their arms to the Sisters Repentia (Mutants) since it seems more accurate than their eviscerators, which I can't accurately represent in a LaTD army.

Makes sense.
This is gonna be a very big and expernsive project, yes?
Why not mail order the parts in, or at the least, order specifics to your local GW. That way you don't waste bodies and heads of the ones you cut up, you just buy them pre-helmetted and then convert ontop of that to add diversity?

-Mykal This'll definitely be a bitz order. I'ma try and get a few of the helmeted Sisters on their own, but I can't stand repeating models. As for expensive, it'll probably just start out as a series of squads and characters. Probably double as Inquisitor villains (we use 40k scale for greater selection) and 40k Killteams.

Suddenly, I'm torn between two eligible models for my Dark Apostle: Chaplain Grimaldus and Space Marine Terminator Chaplain. Neither, of course, will survive the conversion process unscathed, and I'm not completely adverse to doing BOTH, but I'd still like to hear opinions.

Personally, I'd go with the Terminator Chaplain. I just feel that as a modeller it's not as demanding a workload, and you can easily take parts from other terminator-scale models, where as Grimaldus has lots of icons and fiddley bits, and it'd just be too much of a hassle, in my opinion.
However, if you do use Grimaldus, then you can use the really cool "Chaos Space Marine backpack with the balls cut in half and then fire put on the tops" like on the really cool beans conversion on a Word Bearer page I saw one time.

A bit of a tank, I figure that he would be better suited to charge up in between a few squads then some out

I count that guy as having... 7 attacks, a possible 9-11 on the charge and a 4+ Invulnerable save. Along with the Collar of Khorne's benefits, especialy at that price. Why not beef him up with Daemonic Flight and/or Stature, seeing as he can be picked out by enemy squads anyway? Sure it'll make him points heavy, but I really don't think you care about that. xd
Although, what is a force weapon? Is that specific to Grey Knights?

-Mykal Illegal Character. Rune, Berserker Glaive, Rage, and Armor total 110pts on their own. Collar and No pain make it 130pts of Daemon Gifts total.

Whenever I take the Glaive, I do: Berzerker Glaive, Stature (So he can't be insta-gibbed as easily), Mutation, No Pain, Collar and Strength. 8 Attacks each turn(9-11 on the charge), S6 T5, Immune to force weapons, and a 4+ Save after normal for shooting.
EDIT: And furious charge.
