He had to be joking. "... You have got to be joking," Dax said, not knowing whether to take the other seriously or not. As if to convince himself that he indeed was, the Ice Prince forced himself into laughter. "You are the humorous one, Sayael. Asking if I can swim.. As if we'd really have to get ourselves wet. Ha! You and your funny jokes." He shook his head helplessly, arms folded over his chest in a sort of denial to believe anything otherwise, as he turned to once more face the Wall.

((This is going to be fun, I can tell. xDDD;;; ))
"Mmmm... I'll take that as a 'no'," he said sweetly, a honey-laced smile on his lips. "But... you never know. What if the boat actually crashes? I mean... I highly doubt that because really, the Wall ends... the continuation is only an illusion. But, one never does know," he said with a small shrug. It wasn't as if he hadn't tried before. The boat had always been repelled by some invisible barrier before it had so much as brushed the holligrafic wall's stones. But it might be different - Sayael had learned that circusmtances could never be taken for granted. What looked like water could, in reality, be a deadly chemical. What appeared to be peacefulm, white stone could be something else all together.

(XD It will.)
"I never said I couldn't swim! I can! ... Sort of," the blonde said, his lips tightened into a unaccepting sneer, his feigned amusement totally vanished. Dax had been in his share of water before, but had only gotten as far as dog-paddling. "And the boat will not crash! If it's just an illusion, we'll go right through all fine and dandy. The worst thing that could happen is we nick a few rocks and then be on our way. Hmph.. You're just being overly negative."

"I am not," the Dark prince protested childishly, lips curling down in a pout. "I'm just... being prepared. Unlike everyone else. At least one of us has to be ready in case something bad happens," he muttured, folding his arms across his chest. Of course, now no one was stearing the boat. But the boat could stear itself - not that anyone else knew that.

"Sayael!" Dax gasped out, his eyes widening as his hands snatched out to grab hold of the wheel in order to steady it. "We will crash into that Wall if you don't stop acting like an idiot. Take the wheel back!" He could do nothing to hide the slight hint of panic in his voice. Here Sayael was talking about the possibilty of crashing and then he stops steering altogether? He was crazy!

"The boat can steer itself," he said dryly, folding his arms behind his head. "Anyway, we'd be better off with the wind steering rather than you," he teased, a small grin on his lips. "Come on, give me some credit for knowing what I'm doing." Despite his calm, joking attitude, he felt slightly irked that the other didn't trust him enough to be capable of taking care of himself. Even if he didn't trust Sayael with his own life, he should at least trust him with Sayael's life ((errgg... that sounds so bad and unclear, sorry!! Dx)).

(I still got your meaning. No worries XD)
Slowly, the Ice Prince peeled his fingers away from the wheel. Since when did a boat steer itself? he wondered, but simple shrugged off the doubtful thought. "I guess.. But don't scare me like that anymore," he said. "I'm not so used to these magical boats and using people's blood to pass walls things like you are." He was sure that within the past couple days, he had seen more new sights and done so many different things than he had within a large chunk of his life.

"You think I'm used to this?" Sayael asked with a small grin. "I just... cope with it. Jillian's past - and a lot of things - have come as surprises. But... I suppose I'm used to surprises," he murmured slowly, allowing his grin to relax into a more sedated smile. "Anyway... I'm sure you'll be fine after a while... maybe."

"Quit talking like that," Dax said, scrunching his nose in a sort of defiance. He wouldn't allow himself to believe anything would or even could happen. They were on a magical boat for Heaven's sake! How could anything actually go wrong? "Besides.. You are my spouse, afterall," he reminded from their adventures earlier. "You can't just let something happen to me.. That's completely against the code of getting married."

[[@Mie: That's fine, I just won't post with Haar for a bit and I'll eventually jerk him out of slumber... :B and about Liao and Shin, it's okay. I'll post something else with Wei (maybe, he tends not to inpsire me unless he's being evil) and see if I can't get a response and with Haro...eh, it will just allow me to pwn him quicker, so it's all good. ^^ -feels bad for wanting to pwn him- uwu]]
Red eyes swiveled around the dark cooridor, which looked much longer than it had twenty minutes ago. Where in the world had those two boys gone off to? The young woman pressed a hand to her temple before sighing lightly to herself. It was a shame really, making her worry like this. Peyton hadn't looked too well when they left and...now the two were missing. What if someone got hurt? Eaten? Or something even worse?
Shannon shook her head of brown hair to the side before hurrying back outside. She hoped for this third time of checking the carriage would be blessed with a charm and her lost companions would be waiting for her. Heels clipping against the stone leading to the entry road, the girl sighed heavily. She swore, when she got her hands on those two they would be sent straight to her brother for a good scolding--heaven forbid she tried doing so-- she wasn't quite mean enough to get anything across in an angry tone.
---
"Eh, we're almost...there. I think."
The young knight had eventually opted for carrying the blonde once more, it seemed they could cover much more ground that way. Besides the fact that Peyton's leg was bent in an unnatural position, he kept fading into unconsciousness-- and that was no good for walking, at least not walking-in-a-hurry.
Reaching the front of the castle grounds within the next few minutes or so, Cain nearly dropped the by in his relief.
----
"Where were you tw-?!"
Red eyes widened slightly at the younger teens. They looked absolutely miserable. Twigs and bits of foliage stuck in their hair, as well as a good number of bruises and...Peyton was blissfully unaware of her concern because he was dead to the world at that moment.
Not auesting as to what they had been up to, the young lady opened up the carriage door for Cain with a worried expression. "You can tell me later, after we get home and badger Ceris a bit."

Mie-tanuki ((Arggg... my computer keeps switching back to Spanish. Dx If I use weird punctuation marks, like semi-colons instead of apostraphes... that's why. xD;;;; ))
The green-haired teen bit his lip softly, trying very hard to resist the temptation of... well, he had gotten hit the last time, so he couldn;t even try that. Despite the change that seemed to have occured ever so slightly in the Death prince... Jillian was still very doubtful that Faryn could even like him the smallest bit.
"I... well, I don't think so. Love is... it's painful and it doesn't... it doesn;t have any reason...." he said slowly, his dark eyes staring into the other's black orbs. Faryn frowned. Did he feel pain? ... it was more like confusion. How could something not have a reason? That was completely bogus in Faryn's frame of mind: impossible to exist.
"Don't you love other princes too? Couldn't this be some kind of... 'sense of duty' business? You could just be using the term lightly, you know. Are you using the term lightly?" Faryn tried to reason out. He leaned forward, down upon the boy, a few chrome bangs falling forward in unspoken earnest.

((......... Happy (late) Halloween.
Couldn't think of anything scarier... xD;;;
In case you can't tell... that's Shin... >.>;;;;; ))
How could Faryn be so... naive? Had he never - not once in his entire life time - felt love? He knew Faryn at least a little and although the prince was cold and... well, blunt and many other things that distanced the small teen from others - he was still, essentially, human.
"I... like the other princes. I don't know them hardly as much as I would like to... but I like and respect the other princes." He paused, then, and frowned, biting his lips as he thought. Brow furrowed, his dark gaze lowered and then, slowly, closed.
"But you're... Faryn, you're different. Can't you see that?" he asked, a slightly plantive note in his voice. His eyes had opened and were now fixed unblinkingly upon the other's.
((And Nolas... I'm not sure when I can reply to your post.
I haven't forgotten it... I'm just having a really hard time trying to RP a... happy, joking character. I just... don't have that mind set at the moment (particularly since I have a headache Dx).
So I appologize and I will get to it as soon as I can! ><))

Because it would just be improper for a husband to allow his wife to protect him," he said, a deffinate smirk on his lips. "Mmm... alright, then. I'll be your husband... dear." He leaned over towards the other as if he were about to kiss him and then, just before their lips could ever touch, he pulled away, grinning, and returned to the stearing wheel. "Made you flinch."

And indeed, Dax's eyes shut and he drew back a few inches away from the oncoming prince. But when it seemed nothing else was going to happen, he opened one eye slowly, and then the other. His expression was immediatly set into a sneer. "Listen you!" the blonde said, poking a finger into the other's ribs. "You're only permitted to be 'the man' in more difficult and troubling times, got it? Other than that, I wear the pants in this relationship. No if's, and's, or but's."

Sayael laughed. "How do you get that idea, huh? Your hair is too girly for you to be the man and I'm taller than you," he said with a smug grin. "Anyway, you look like a woman - therefor, you must be the woman." He placed each hand on the corresponding hip and then added, "You can't even look out for yourself and you still want to be the man? Daxy, I think it would have been so much easier for you if you had just been born a woman. THen you could just flutter your pretty little eyelashes and get your way. Buuut... that doesn't work for guys."
