Andarien had a good point there, they were always having fish on the ship.

"I'll have it with fowl as well," Miyuki nodded at this.

"Very well," the girl smiled. "And what would you like to drink?"

"Do you have any mead?" Andarien questioned.

The girl nodded. "Yes. Also wine, water, ale and berry juice."

Andarien thought about it quickly. He liked mead - a lot - but he was having a good meal, and he hadn't had berry juice before. "Berry juice, please," he decided.

Miyuki probably had strawberry juice, but to say berry was very broad. However, she did like sweets and fruit was closest to having sweets without actually having candy.

"I'll have berry juice as well,"
she told the girl.

The girl smiled and nodded. "Then I'll be back shortly." She headed off towards a door that led, presumably, to the kitchen.

As soon as she was gone, Andarien sighed and leaned back in his chair. He stared at Miyuki. He knew they were there because Lin wanted them to talk, but he had no idea what to say. Truth be told, he and Miyuki had never really spent any time together, and he didn't have any idea where to start a conversation with her.

Miyuki wasn't really sure neither and since she didn't get the warning ahead of time like the way her brother had she was probably a bit more at a lost. A part of her wanted to explain her reasoning, though she was a bit uncertain.

She also wished they could have at least kept Ai and Eon, because having those two were about the only thing they had in common, even if they trained them differently.

Finally she decided to take the high road and hoped she wasn't going to make it worse.

"I'm sorry," she finally murmured, "I didn't mean to make you upset. It's just... I know you want to use that watch, and I was afraid that if it broke while we're still traveling or when explore the Continent that it would be a lot of trouble to repair, and that we might be weeks away from the nearest city."

She wasn't one to fidget, but she did feel uncomfortable in having to explain her whole thought process.

"And... really you never know what might happened. You don't really remember being so young and all, but we've been through rough patches while traveling. We were actually attacked once shortly after you were born, anything can happen when you're traveling. You having the best quality while traveling is important to me."

Andarien blinked at Miyuki. Whatever he might have expected - if he'd stopped to think to expect anything - that would not have been it. And it touched him. The fact that she was apologizing, the way she did it ... and her reason for doing so. All of it touched him in a way that he hadn't been touched before.

He felt tears gathering in his eyes, and he looked down at his lap to hide them from her.

"Why didn't you just say so?" he asked quietly, twiddling his thumbs in his lap to keep from wiping at his eyes. "I mean ... you didn't explain ... it just sounded like you didn't want me to do it ..."

Miyuki thought about that, it was true she could have explained better, but on the other hand she was un-use to explaining a whole thought process like that unless prompted. It just wasn't something one normally did, and she didn't know why.

"Well... I thought I did explain my worry that it would break, because I did ask if glass would break. I didn't think you would take it as me not wanting you to do it, but..." she scratched the back of her neck, "I guess, because mainly I forgot we think differently, because... you know I wouldn't have gone off and just done if it was something I wanted."

That was what Andarien had accused her off before, but it never occurred to Miyuki until now that Andarien didn't know how she thought.

"If it was something I wanted, if I thought I could do better at a later time, I would wait. That's just the way I am," she shrugged.

Andarien looked up at Miyuki. "But ... you have other things to do in the meantime, while you're waiting," he mumbled. "You've got friends to do stuff with ... but I don't have any friends. I just have lessons. So if I can't do anything else, I might as well try build the watch, I figure. Even if it breaks then at least I've learned something, and the next time I can do it faster or better."

Miyuki nodded slowly at this he had a point. Though it did bother her a bit that since he had no one to be with he would just work, there had been a lot of talk about how Andarien was slowly becoming another Shiro. She wasn't sure how she thought about that.

"You know, if you want, we can always set time aside to do things together," she offered, "I'm not sure what we can do, but I'm sure we can figure something out."

Andarien's entire face lit up.

"Yeah?" he asked hopefully. "I'd like that ... we really don't get to do much together. And maybe sometime we can take Aranxia with us, too - I think she's lonely, too."

His mind was already racing. "Maybe we can explore a bit or something ... Kaito said there's a whole other half of the island that no one got to see because there was a fight or something ... wouldn't that be fun?"

He grinned. His tears were gone now. He was more excited than he had felt in a long time. For the first time, his sister was offering to spend time with him. He had always wanted that, but had always thought she was too busy, or not interested.

"Actually that would," Miyuki looked thoughtful at that.

She would really like that idea, while she liked exploring cities, seeing the places nature had to offer was also interesting.

"This island has plants and animals that we won't see back in the Four Lands, so exploring outside the cities would be really neat, and Aranxia might like to draw some pictures from there."

Who knew what was there.

Andarien beamed. "Maybe we can go with just the three of us," he said eagerly. "With Eon and Ai and Ponydash we would be safe, right? And everyone says there's nothing to worry about here, right? And it would be fun with just us."

He looked up as their server returned with their drinks.

"Here you are," she said, setting the glasses down on the table. "If you'd like any refills, let me know. Your meals will be here shortly."

"Thank you," Andarien smiled at her.

"Thank you," Miyuki nodded with a smile before looking back at Andarien.

He did have a point there, with their Pokemon being evolved and now learning even more new tricks (as if what they knew before wasn't already enough). They should be fine.

"We should be, I don't see why not."

As far as she knew there were no dangerous places on the island.

"You think Nana and Ada will let us?" Andarien asked, a bit anxiously now. "I mean ... yeah, you're big and Aranxia's big ... but I'm still little ..."

He was well aware of just how young he was, even if most others forgot now and again.

"And I'm still no good with the bow," he added, thinking sadly of the one weapon he was willing to try to learn. He knew Aranxia was very good, and he honestly did want to be better at it; but, like with any other weapon, it didn't seem to be going over well for him.

Miyuki was about the point out that between her and Aranxia it should be fine. At least until she remembered that Aranxia wasn't really that fond of learning how to fight, less than Miyuki herself. So the two were probably had about the same fighting level.

Which was no where near their parents.

She scratched her cheek and thought about it, really thought about it. There were the Pokemon, and they were better trained in fighting than them, and there were three Pokemon....

"I'm pretty sure.... really without those creatures roaming the island it is safe. The Sky Elves are the only people on this island, and because of the way they are and the small numbers we're not going to run into any trouble from any other races. Animals, I'm very confident the Ai, Eon and PonyDash can keep everyone safe."
