((Actually, I didn't use a counter? >_>))
((Good lord this is only getting worse, imagine if that was a set of attacks <_<))
Ironclaw would be shocked again, it was luck alone that saw she wasn't fully paralyzed yet, but she staggered there under even the Plusle's minuscule weight.
Jasmine grimaced as she watched on, the Simipour had Solo under her gaze and nearly cowering beneath that gaze.
Ironclaw couldn't shake the Plusle here... And then there was the 'arena rules'...
They were well and truly outclassed.
They had to win to save Licorice and Rhinox...
But... She looked at the field.
And then made her decision.
In a flash of red, Ironclaw vanished from the battlefield.
There Jasmine stood as the Plusle would fall to the ground, and she looked to her opponents. "We surrender."
Her head turned downward; she didn't want to look Victoia in the eye when she made the decision for them.

The girl would see a second red light right behind her.
"Death, isn't something I can take back. I rather surrender than let it happen again."
She would declare sharply. Victoria wasn't against Jasmine decision, in fact, she was for it ....as she watches as Solo vanishes back. The pokemon had been taken complete by surprise, and with his injuries Victoria would have been surprise even if he could.
"That's enough, you win."
Victoria will tell them as well.

"Yay we won!!!" The little girl cheered, a broad smile appearing on her face as she clapped her hands in childish glee. It wasn't long before both of their opponents Pokemon had been recalled, and the trainer's themselves had taken off deeper into the fun house, no doubt to face some other plainly bizarre team.
"GWAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!" A familiar cackle would announce the return of a certain someone as the room temperature dropped and a hand appeared on both girl's shoulders, turning them around and pushing them toward the door "Thanks for playing. Have fun?" Nightmare asked, a dark glee in his voice. Their loss was almost palatable to him. "Better luck next time!" The Haunter cheered, then promptly shoved the pair through the door of the Funhouse.
The Tournament was over for them now; but it seemed this wasn't their sole chance.

Damian 'Ian' Lockely of Tactics Class would like to battle!
"Water gun." Came the boy's calm reply as he gestured to the Sandshrew in what could be boredom. This little ground type was hardly worth the effort or fighting. This battle had given him a better view of his partner who eagerly twirled around and let loose a jet of water at the tiny shrew Pokemon.

It was over, just like that.
But Jasmine didn't flinch or raise her head to the Haunter's dabbling... It was only afterwards when she would sigh and raise her head, looking to Victoria in case she'd passed out again from the ghost interaction when she realised where they were.
They were still in the Arena.
Her medic kit kicked in for Solo and Ironclaw even if they weren't out, when the battle ended they'd be restored, just as she hoped their spirits would be when she looked at the other girl. "Victoria, we're still here!"
"We're still in the tournament grounds, we can go ahead and search the place now!"

Victoria was speechless when she heard their cheering, and the world had already grown cold for her ....before the Haunter did his part ....as she felt the shove and stumble through the door. Her feet trying to do what her mind wasn't ready to comprehend and understand ...as she took a few more steps before it would hit her full force. The realization of what this lost meant, as she sunk to the ground besides, Jasmine as the girl would look at her. Her eyes still looking forward, as she felt them p***k the side of eyes, and her eyes themselves grew just a bit more glasses as she tried to fight them down.
Tears....Victoria was on the verge of tears at that moment as she would paw a hand quickly across her face. She wasn't going to cry, she wasn't going to cry ...she kept telling herself.
There could be other chances, but, somehow, Victoria couldn't see them happening for her again. She had truly lost him, and though she tried to wipe it away ...it would happen despite her ...as one lone tear would roll down her cheeks and then then other.
"I failed."
She would finally give it voice, and she couldn't stop it then. As she would take one arm and press it against her eyes ...as the tears came much more freely. As if she could simply block them with her arm, as she rest on her bottom beside the girl ...not moving for a moment ....as her body trembled with unheard sobs.
This wasn't just a battle to win some fantastic prize, it was a battle to regain what she had lost, and she had failed. It was over for her, for them, and the girl knew she would simply ...eventually have to get up, and move on from here.
The grave ...clear in her mind.
Torrent really was gone.
It would take a moment for her to pull herself together .....as she continued to simply hug her face with one arm, and the other would brace the ground. Her fingers digging trenches ....in the earth as she tries to settle herself once more.
She was a member of the Creed family, they did not wallow in tears and drown in self pity, and she wouldn't either. Though for the moment, she would indulge in it.

(Figuring out dmg ...)
Dmg is easily enough to figure out here, but you might have to look at the information section on the same page as the auditorium to see how every move works.
Anyway, for dmg like this one ...first you find the differences in the dice roll. Which in this case is ...
18 - 11 = 7
Then you figure out what type of attack you used, in this case it's Sp. attack.
Then you subtract your Sp. attack stats from my Sp. defense stats.
5 -5 = 0
You add both together, the differences in rolls and the differences in Sp. attack and defense, which is 7 in this case, and thanks to the fact that you have a type advantage with that move ...x2 = 14dmg. This battle is over, though just a note, if your pokemon's hp drops below -7 it dies.)
It would seem that the boy's tactic was sound, and so was his boredom as the battle ended in a single match. As in the moment, she would drop to the floor underneath that single attack. Afterall, sandshrew had a problem with water, and this one was no different ....as she lay on her back with her eyes rolling.
The victory was theres as the voice would proclaim loudly.
"Congratulations, with this victory, you are safe and assured in your class. You are a full member now of the Tactics class, and thus, Maneuvering class, will be your first stop on the road of understanding that meaning."
The voice would tell him, and then sigh once.
"Though you need to go back to the auditorium to finish your registration from here. Good luck." Sandshrew lvl:2/lax Hp: 0/14 Pp: 16 Att: 8 Def: 9 Spd: 7 Sp Att: 6 Sp Def: 5 moves:Scrach, Iron Tail Exp gained:84

Jasmine looked on dumbfounded at first, she had no idea what caused the sudden change in the other girl.
One defeat and she acted like this?
No.
There had to be more to it.
The reaction Jasmine saw there... This was welled up, long needing release... She thought of every time she met the girl, every time she had acted rough and heartless...
As Victoria would sit there, after a moment, a set of arms would wrap around her. When she would look up, there was Jasmine, the girl having sat down on the ground with some considerable effort, and even if her arm hurt, she still hugged around the larger girl.
Her crutch to one side, the mission on hold, if only for a moment.
"This loss is as much yours as mine... But..."
"I don't know what sorrow you'be held onto for so long. And there's no one else here to judge you for expressing it."
She hugged, just a little tighter, "I know we didn't become partners for more than what was ideal for us both... But I want to be there for you if I am your partner."
"You dont need to talk if you dont want to. Take as long as you need. Then we can go."

Victoria would feel the arms around her and she would shiver all over. It was like being touched by something cold, and she didn't like it at all. Though she knew the sentiments were there, she had broken down without thought this time, and she couldn't afford that.
Soft words spoke to her ..remind her of a long time again, and she never trusted soft words ...every.
They lie.
She would lie.
"Our lost isn't as much yours as mine ...it's all yours."
Victoria would push lightly. The girl was a cripple afterall ...away, as she would look backwards at her. Eyes still puffy, but, she wasn't crying any longer.
"I don't need your pity nor your help nor to talk. This is just one battle, one time I lost, and to be quite frank ....I don't like losing. That is all."
She would snap the words as she stood back up.
"Now, what next, you helped me sort of complete my goal ...or at least, I got a chance at it. I might as well give you about the same, since, I wasn't successful, I can't spend too much time with you.
I got other things to accomplish, and this place has now become a waste of my time."
Victoria would declare trying to sound almost regal with that last statement. It was destroyed as she sniffled hard ...forcing mucus that had started to run ...back into her nose.
In other words, if Jasmine as thinking she was going the entire yard with her ...that has just been dissolved in that moment along with any other promises she might have given the girl.
They would do the minimal, and then she would be gone.

"Oh yes, please do help, we are oh so helpless!" A voice called out from the darkness, strangely resembling Jasmine's save for a slight echo. From the shadow's a figure would emerge, save for eyes of yellow and the way she faded in and out of the darkness, a perfect double of Jasmine herself.
"Let her help. Let her lead. You know doing things on your own is too hard. Its easier to let others protect us" The figure spoke in Jasmine's voice, drawing a bit closer "Please won't you be our knight!" She asked looking to Victoria.
That's when it happened. A low sobbing moan that seemed to echo across the whole of the Carnival. The shadows flickered, and from them appeared another figure. Petite in size, but with those same glowing yellow eyes, the pair would now be met with an exact copy of Victoria's tear stained face...except they continued to flow freely from this one.
"I don't want to be alone anymore. So dark. So cold. Momma! Papa! Please don't leave me!" The girl cried in Victoria's voice, breaking into a fit of sobs as she fell to her knees "Please don't leave me alone!"

It was fury that course though her ...hearing her own voice being mocked....as she pay more attention to the words ...the voice she had sobbed in the darkness echoing back to her. She had been so scared that night, she had come home ...expecting her family and warmth and had come back to a slaughter. Blood everywhere ...bodies everywhere ....she had cried for them, but she hadn't tried to summon them back.
She didn't ....try to summon them back.
The anger dropped from her instantly as that night roared back. As her mind turned something over and over and she flashed back to that night.
From human to pokemon, everyone had been slaughtered and that much blood and death would mean that there would be scavangers to feast on it. She had been taught enough to know to shut the gate, but, the gate could only keep out those that feast on flesh ...but those of souls.
She shivered and shivered ...as she stepped away.
There wasn't anyone whom know what happen to her, but there, there was some pokemon ....as she step backwards one step at a time.
If Jasmine was caught in her own illusion, Victoria trying to flee would probably shatter her, because she would slam right into the girl in her fear. She was in full panic mode.
Souls to eat, and a living soul to torture ....she had been found underneath her parent's bed for a reason And it wasn't out of grief.

Jasmine couldn't help but feel a little empty, she'd hoped at least some of the plea of support reached Victoria, but it seemed that wasn't the case to be. Nor as Victoria looked at her and made her demands with puffy eyes would Jasmine have the chance to call her out on it.
Not when the voices came.
And up Jasmine would rise, painfully so, but nearly mesmerised at the shadowed figure before her.
There was herself... Her body... Did she look that frail to others? That ugly? A stirring sickness in her stomache crept at it, the self hatred that had seeded itself in the battle with the Simisage trainer was there...
Always acting so helpless? Was that who she was?
And then her eye snapped to the Victoria double that appeared. The sme yellow eyes...
She looked at Victoria backing away... She didn't know what to do here, but something was wrong, very much so, that Haunter may have kicked them out of the tournament, but it wasn't just her, if this was happening to Victoria as well, then they were still being played with!
She looked at Victoria stepping back.
And then looked at the doubles. And made her choice.
A single clack of the crutch and she stepped forward.
"What's wrong with relying on others? There's nothing wrong as long as you don't grow reliant on them to help you grow instead." She looked first to her own. Double, then to the Victoria double.
"In fact, there being two of us makes this ideal."
She stepped forward again, toward the Victoria double. "If Victoria finds it hard to stand up to her own demons, then I can fight them for her."
She tuned her head to look back at the other girl, "And I'm sure she would be insulted if I said she couldn't beat mine, right?"
She tried to lay the bait to rile Victoria out of her shock, get her normal, get her angry... Jasmine had no idea yet what they faced... But if it wanted them to play its game, they had to keep a cool head and try and outsmart it.
She hadn't been chosen for Tactics class originally for nothing maybe.
But it certainly relied on Victoria coming through as well...
((Gah, I would be at work when you guys were all ready to post today, lol))

"Oh? But even now you're totally reliant on someone else's reaction!" The Jasmine double called out in her strange echoing voice. "We can't do anything all on our. We're so weak. So fragile. Can't someone big and strong just protect us?" She said, the shadows seeming to dance as the faintest crack appeared in her cheek "That's what you really want isn't it? Remember in the forest? That boy protect you. If not the boy then your Pokemon. Even now we can't do anything by ourselves, and really you prefer it that way!"
While the other Jasmine argued with herself, trying to push her closer to the emotional edge, the second Victoria would begin crawling toward the real thing.
"Don't leave me! I don't want to be alone!" The other Victoria cried piteously as she moved closer, arms outstretched.

Jasmine was looking for a reason that was conscious and understandable, that was reason and logic, and if Jasmine thought she could find some reasons for her being put into her former class ....she wouldn't see any in Victoria.
The girl would run into her literally, scramble from the floor, and continue to run on her hands and knees at the thought of the creature ....her shadow ...a ghost more than likely was after her.
Her screams would echo over the place.
Oh, it was clear, Victoria had lost it.

Oh, it had her there.
When the ghost spoke this time, it could see right through her, even her reply in her Pokemon...
She thought back... Strength... Strength... That one time, with Burnout, capturing him... It had made her like this, the scarred wreck now reflected before her...
Ever since then she had failed, again and again, the Spinarak, the island and the Murkrow, the pink Pokemon she had so stupidly traded to that shopkeep...
And it was her fault, all her fault.
Always having to hide behind the others... Always clinging to trinkets like Regal's watch, or the Regigigas' amulet...
Then the visage before her cracked and she felt her stomached turn again, ready to be sick, when Victoria hit her and she went toppling over.
What happened next should have been no surprise to anyone.
Not even properly healed, caught off guard and now, hitting the floor right on that arm it let out a sickening wet crack that reverberated around the empty arena and it's shadows.
The worst thing was that Jasmine didn't cry out. She lay there unmoving.
Had the worst finally happened?
Victoria running off, would she even realise what she'd done? Or if this was really it?
"...You're wrong..."
It was pitiful, shaking, tiny, but Jasmine's voice spoke as she tried to sit up, her body shaking visibly, her left arm dangling like a puppet with its strings cut.
She looked at the other her... Now equally damaged.
She was in pain, but pain was a sobering agent here... And not stopping for her crutch, not taking in the burning sensation that stabbed all throu her sides and her shoulder, she would get up, bit by bit.
"...You're wrong." She spoke, then held her breath to stop herself vomiting from the sensation in her arm. She was alone, but the spirit was right, she wasn't REALLY alone.
She reached out and took Burnout's pokéball. "A trainer relying on her Pokemon isn't weakness..."
"Because.. A Pokemon needs their trainers strength to grow!"
"I don't care if I'm weak, I don't need you to tell me that!" She snapped at t He shadow, "If that's all you've got to say then begone already!"
"...Or if you want to prove it, then both of you, fight me!"
Her knees were buckling under her, h er legs weren't ready for her weight, her stance lopsided and her arm broken anew, she had nothing in her but will to keep standing and prove herself.
Tactic... Medic... Whatever pride, she needed to be strong, and prove it to herself alone. Victoria may have ran... But she couldn't help standing her ground now, waiting to see what would happen.
