Xelizar eyed the little girl for a moment before cocking his head. His onyx, slick skin wavered a few gold a purple bands for but a moment. "Oh ho ho ho. You are so lovely, little child. Let the man be on his way. He's right. If a magician can fix one thing, why not-" He cut off. Why not move a ship... "For your rambunctiousness and spunktinaity, I award you..." Xelizar slashed his false key up on the child's side, gently grazing her clothes. "Something better than damned cargo pants." Youni's pants brightened to a gold hue with purple splotches dabbled across it like bugs crawling up her legs. It stretched slightly and hemmed itself, slimming down slightly to better fit her frail frame. "Now about that mage...wizard...warlock...spellsinger...whatever..." He muttered.

Xelizar bent his back to face Merlin before scuttling backward and twisting himself in as inhumanly way possible. "My ship. Where is it. I haven't the time." The artificer exclaimed, slamming his foot down like a child and fixing his body frame to now square off against Merlin.

"Wha- Youni, wait!" Aerith said, walking after the girl and standing beside her, looking somewhat flabbergasted as the girl simply charged into danger.

"Were you raised in a barn?" Merlin retorted, obviously flustered as both this man and another... man? Woman? Entity countered him. "If you had any manners, you wouldn't be doing this nonsense. If I find that you've gone and done damage anywhere else, I'll expel you from this world myself!"

Coming from the old man, with the crotchety old voice, the threat probably sounded humorous- easily laughed at. But if Aerith's sudden somber attitude was any sign, the threat was not a laughing matter.

"Youni, run along now, I can take care of myself, thanks for your assistance," Merlin said, granting to young girl a smile as Aerith slowly attempted to pull her away from the confrontation. His smile quickly vanished as he narrowed his eyes at the Artificer. "Now, as for you- that was your ship that you haphazardly landed in the middle of a public zone, possibly endangering the lives of innocents? It's in the hangar behind those doors- park like that again and you'll get the same treatment I'm promising this fellow."

{{Sorry for the long wait on the Solaris post, inspiration for him has been severely lacking. I'll be back to posting frequently with him soon though. And a Kuroda post WILL be coming later tonight. Not in the immediate hour, because a friend has joined me and we are off to join his friends for some frivolity, but then I shall be back and I shall post.}}

Solaris

Sorry...
...I'll be taking my leave now.

{Traverse Town : First District : Cafe}

So the goal of the gesture was to shake hands? How odd. What if one held a blade hidden in their sleeves? A potential danger like that and he still wished to shake hands? Perhaps he was simply confident enough to defend himself from all attacks? Intriguing. Or maybe it was only used if he felt confident that he wouldn't be attacked? But how could the man judge that? Many people could hide their emotions and intents well enough to fool the common person.

Deciding not to answer the man's question regarding how his life was, Solaris picked a seat at the far back of the table at Window's suggestion to sit and dine. However, he did not wish to share his personal history. He'd already relived it last night and he had no desire to go through that again.

And so yet another had lost his home to the Heartless. It seemed to be a very common occurrence. And to think that nobody had yet to find a method of permanently getting rid of them save for the legends of the Keyblade, and even that weapon could become a double-edged sword. Were they cursed to forever suffer from the terror of the Heartless?

There was a moment of sudden terror when he felt a pair of arms drape around him, then complete relaxation when he realized who it was. Nalo still could make him completely comfortable, so he was somewhat disappointed when the man moved on, but he understood. Solaris wasn't his only companion.

Then a new man walked up to them, gripping a sword. He felt a slight bit of surprise when the weapon began to talk, but it soon left him. Magical weapons hadn't been rare on his home, and his family had a collection of them. He'd also seen several talking weapons, but they had only ever been extensions of the wielder, so he assumed that the man was talking to them through his sword. Perhaps he was a mute warrior. But why would it refer to both of them? The man's manner of talking perhaps, trying to differentiate between himself and the sword?

Then Window spoke again, greeting the man with easily. And for that Solaris envied Window, to be able to speak with people so easily, to not be terrified of people...it was something that he wanted greatly to be able to do. Something caught Solaris' attention though, and that was Window including the sword in the conversation and introductions. Why would he do that? It had to be a tool to speak through. Giving sentience to something was an incredibly difficult magic. If the man was fully capable of it, he would have to be an incredibly powerful mage.

The thought left Solaris feeling a bit unneeded. He had been in the presence of Merlin and understood how powerful the mage was. Now a new man appeared, wielding a sentient blade. If this man was to join their quest, he would be utterly useless as a mage. He would only be a hindrance. The thought filled him with terror and sadness. He found himself not wanting to be parted from Nalo, but he felt sure that he would have to be. And then Raxsa had decided to join them as well, probably capable of doing everything Solaris could do but better.

When the waitress came around for food, Solaris asked only for bread and water. Simple and no time was taken in preparing it. When Aerith came and asked them of their plans, Solaris looked down at the table and didn't answer. He was sure he was going to be told to leave and he didn't want to openly say anything. lest they get rid of him faster. But then Enyb appeared and he was calmed down considerably. Nalo and Enyb together...there was something about them that just calmed him down. Then it struck him. He had absolutely no idea where he had left the candelabra that Enyb gave him. It was a disappointed feeling that washed over him, having lost the gift that his feathered friend had given him.

No, he probably wouldn't be that upset. He seemed to be an understanding one, so he probably would not mind. And he became aware that Aerith was speaking again, giving advice that was interrupted quickly. He almost readied a Reflect spell, but realized that it wouldn't be needed. The attacks had stopped as quickly as they had begun. When he realized just how quickly he had been ready to defend them, he found himself truly not wanting to leave them. Even Window had become important in the short time that he had gotten to know him. He didn't want to be left behind.

Standing up, he walked behind Nalo and wrapped his arms around him, much like he had done to the mage earlier, then closed his eyes so that none would see the emotions that were revealed by them. "I can come with you right...?" He asked, his voice nothing but a whisper, clearly intending it to be for his ears only. He didn't want to betray his worry and sadness to anybody else.

Kuroda

{Traverse Town ~ First District}

As Kuroda waited for Core's answer, he found the man who had left his ship in the incorrect spot. He seemed to be a bit disturbed by the disappearance of his ship, but the man had left it in the wrong place. Wondering if the man would realize his fault, Kuroda simply stared at him, wondering if the man would come to realize the error that he had made. When he decided that the man would not realize, he was going to speak up, but another man(Jiraal) decided it would be a good choice to start attempting to destroy buildings around him. No longer bothering with the man in front of him, he pulled out his blades. If the man was going to try destroy the world, he would be met with a swift end.

After the attacks, the man stopped what he was doing and Merlin started to inform him of the foolishness of his actions. A younger girl walked out to the two of them and began lecturing the man as well. Then the man (Xelizar) who had asked for the location of his ship stepped forward, appearing to be on the side of Jiraal. As Xelizar started to square off against Merlin, Kuroda moved swiftly to stand at the elderly mage's side. It was clear that Kuroda would not tolerate any harmful action by Xelizar. "You have erred in your judgment by placing your ship in the incorrect spot. Do not continue to err in your judgment." As he said his last words, it was clear that any further improper action would be met with severe force.

[First District~Courtyard]

Jiraal had expected a reaction from someone because obviously destroying buildings usually was well received with the general public but the types of reactions he had provoked were decidedly less volatile than his expectations but beggars can't be choosers right? "Whoa whoa whoa!! Firstly, you are a really awkward and creepy little girl, who is probably best off leaving people like myself be." Jiraal made a shooing motion at Youni hoping she understood enough of such subtleties that she'd catch the hint, though he severely doubted it.

"And you are?" he pointed an accusatory finger at Xelizar as he too seemed to jump into the little confrontation Jiraal had caused, though he really had no really personal issues with this new man but at the very least he could wait his turn.

"As for you." Jiraal shifted his gaze to Merlin "What was that thing about expelling me from this little dirt ball? Where exactly would I be expelled too? Assuming you even have that kind of power." He eyed the old man quietly before thinking aloud. "I mean realistically I'm not sure I believe a man who looks old enough to have watched wood petrify would be capable..."

Jiraal's gaze drifted to the third man as he stepped toward them and began to lecture Xelizar. "Everyone around his seems like a stick in the mud..." Jiraal muttered quietly to himself.

"You'd be thrown off to the nearest world, which to my knowledge is Wonderland," Merlin said with an air of confident assurance, never once taking his eyes off the insolent young man. "And if you'd like to test your little theory, be my guest- you're not first, and you probably won't be the last, much to my chagrin."

"This world is a safe-haven for those who have lost their homes and who wish to continue living peacefully," he explained, his wand still held firmly in his grip. "If you will not respect those wishes, then you are not welcome here."

{Ignorance is bliss... until reality throws a Heartless siege at you.}

[Traverse Town : Gummi Ship Hangar -> Inside the Gummi]

"Agreed. All aboard, then!" Soryuju said with a grin, slipping the spear back into its holster on his back before motioning for the others to follow. With a crew of 8 (including Mitsudo, Kellan, Moggie, Thales, and Kuropo), the ship was likely to be packed; but since it was so well equipped, it was probably going to be comfortable, regardless.

In just moments, they were inside the large Gummi, and Kuumaru had taken to the pilot's chair, prepping for launch. After asking for permission, Soryuju had taken a seat to Kuumaru's left, handling the navigational charts. "I've got a contact who likes to hang around Wonderland- if we catch him, he might have some leads for us."

~Window~

[Traverse Town::First District Cafe--->First District Courtyard]

It was nice to know that Rasxa had some experience traveling, though unconsciously it knocked Window's ego down yet another peg as he found himself more ignorant than this young boy. Aerith's words were interrupted by a rumbling boom originating from outside the cafe. Caught off guard, Window almost found himself on the ground as his legs buckled beneath him, but luckily he was able to steady himself on the edge of the table (though he nearly slammed his hand in his plate of food while doing so). Rasxa was not so lucky, and Window's head whipped around as he heard the grating scrape of the chair against the wooden floor and the accompanying thump that signaled the end of the boy's spatial descent. He turned to offer a hand to the newest acquaintance, but Rasxa easily and quickly raised himself back up. However, his facial expression changed even faster, registering from extreme irritation back to his usual tranquil facade. That is...quite unusual, he remarked with interest. If this young one was going to be joining them...

Window's eyes flicked around the group, some kind of paternal instinct kicking in to check to see if everyone was all right---mostly out of concern for their health after the explosion, but now tinged with a hint of wariness for their protection from possibly one from within their group (did Window even know anyone's true intentions anyway? He had taken all their stories for granted...). It was his job to keep them safe, wasn't it? No one had declared themselves leader, and yet...

Wait, where was Youni?

Outside. Where the explosions were.

Window's chair groaned in protest as he swiftly shoved it behind him in his rush to get outside. To let a young child out into somewhere dangerous like that...Aerith was closer to the door, so she got out first, though Window was not far behind. He heard the tail end of Youni's definition of "serious" before making it out of the door. A strange person (whose gender remained vague) seemed to go after Youni with a giant key-looking thing, and Window almost leapt to shove him/her aside if she/he were not just out of reach. (He was beginning to get used to such acts of magic.) Luckily, all the stranger did was change Youni's pants, so Window was spared from committing a heroic dive. Instead he placed himself between Aerith and the attacker as the woman in pink lead the child away. Merlin seemed quite perturbed, and he couldn't be blamed. However, Window had encountered a high amount of activity in the past 24 hours...it seemed like chaos was part of Traverse Town's composition. Weren't the inhabitants used to it by now? Was this not normal?

Window stood off to the side, watching the event unfold. Wonderland, huh? Window certainly felt like he was there already. It was the first time he had heard the name of another world, just as he was beginning to wonder if Traverse Town was all there was to this new universe. Maybe we could check out that world first? It's nearby...I'll ask the others what they think. In the meantime, he would stay out here and make sure nothing would enter in the cafe where the others were, even if he didn't have a single weapon or battle skill.

The girl watched curiously, not even flinching as the keyblade sliced across, grazing her clothing and transforming it right before her very eyes. Violet and gold blinked as they looked down to what appeared to be the entity’s idea of fashion.

This wasn’t right- this wasn’t her own form, it wasn’t the result of the current amalgamations from the environment around her, but the sole desire of one particular source. Somehow it felt...
It didn’t compute right.

By then there was an agreement between the attackers and responders that she should leave.
The dark skinned stranger, making dismissal gestures to her, called her a few words she didn’t understand- but saved in her memory for later inquiry.

‘ I am an awkward and creepy little girl.’

Turning that confused look upwards to the wizard above she simply replied, “These are not my pants.” Meeting that smile for a minute, that soft smile on the wizards face- something flashed behind her eyes. She had seen that look before.
With a nod, Youni acknowledged Merlin’s wish for her to leave, and giving into Aerith tugging the girl was being lead away. Chancing a glance back at the original offender (Jiraal) who was addressing the wizard and someone else who had joined his side, she instead saw the back of Window-
Window was there. When did he come?

He was tall enough that with her counter balanced shortness, she couldn’t see Jiraal anymore. Just Window, what was he doing? Didn’t know that he was blocking her vision? What was the purpose of this act? It confused her even more.
“Window. What are you doing?” she whispered out loud as Aerith lead her back.

[Kellan Feredir]

{...}

[Traverse Town: Gummi Garage - Inside the Gummi]

After running around and picking up the nine knives he threw(thus confirming his dread that he had not hit the person attacking them), Kellan returned to the gummi, taking a seat away from all the action and replacing the knives in his pockets. Away from the action because a mute wasn't going to be much help driving a large ship like this.

His hair and eyes shifted to a deep purple of contemplation. Why had that person attack them? Could it have been Haruko? Perhaps a link to Haruko? It was...possible, at least. But the man doubted it. The girl had led a rebellion, if she knew people were after her, the bounty hunter doubted that she'd send someone to just play around with them like that.

~.~Thales~.~

”You can bend it and twist it… You can misuse and abuse it…
But even the gods cannot change the Truth.”

[Traverse Town ~.~ First District ~.~ Gummi Hanger --> Inside the Gummi]

Once whatever or whoever had attacked the group seemed to have retreated, Thales lowered his staff and holstered it onto his back, then made his way into the gummi ship as soon as Soryuju gave the okay. The ship was much larger and more sophisticated than the one he arrived in. Of course the very sight of the innards of the ship filled the young man with so much excitement that he immediately pulled out his journal and began drawing the various instruments around the ship for logging sake.

Soon, Thales found himself in the flight deck where Soryuju and Kuumaru had already taken their seats and began mapping out their next destination. "Excuse me, sorry," the Hellen said as he leaned over their seats, getting uncomfortably close to the two as he moved left to right, drawing all the interesting buttons and gears across the control panel.

"This is so great! I can't believe we're about to go explore other worlds! I'm so excited! Are you excited?" Thales asked Kuumaru, then turned to Soryuju and asked the same. "Oh, where are my manners? We haven't been totally properly introduce." The young man extend and crossed one arm over the other to shake the others hands. "My name is Thales! It's a pleasure to meet you both!"

Kuropo Guroko

{Judge me not by my size; For I am much more than meets the eyes.}

[Traverse Town : First District : Gummi Hanger -> Inside the Gummi}

Kuropo twirled his staff in satisfaction as the threat that had attacked them seemed to have yet again vanished. He brought the point of his staff back down to the ground as he then watched Kuumaru set to work on a very large craft that had appeared. The Tarutaru's eyes opened wide in wonder as he gazed upon the ship, it reminded him somewhat of the Airships of Vana'diel, except that there were no propellers. When they seemed satisfied with it they told everyone to get aboard. Kuropo followed inside and found his way to the flight deck.

"So this gummi ship... as you called it, is supposed to be our means of world to world transit? How exactly does this thing travel? It is an interesting mystery I would like to unravel..." He inquired curiously of those who were in the room.

[ First District : Courtyard ]

As Youni began to come along with Aerith, Window appeared, having followed the young gardener in her haste to protect Youni. The woman smiled, glad to know that this man was willing to protect the girl. This was definitely the correct choice, it seemed.

"Window, it might be best if you and your friends make leave soon. If things get out of hand, Cid and I may get distracted," she explained, slowly bringing them closer to the Café. "And when you leave, would you... would it be too much trouble if Youni tagged along? She wants to travel with you, and... well, it would be a splendid way to continue her education."

[[Byoki & Benka : Traverse Town : Second District]]

Byoki let out a muffled sob, his face hidden in the folds on his arms to cover up the true extent of his emotions. Before him, a pile of rubble and charcoal. A spot previously inhabited by his beloved home and workshop, "My- My house..."

"Hey... you alright buddy?"

Byoki lifted his head and looked down from his mounted position on Mk. 2, who even though laying down, still had enough body mass to stand as tall as a full grown man. Byoki wiped a few stray tears away from his face as he looked at the strange boy clothed in a simple grey cloak, "W-What do you want?" He straitened up before the other boy and put on a stern face.

"Nothing much. Just wondering why you were sitting here crying like a little girl. What's up with you?"

"Wh-what are you talking about?! I wasn't crying! I was just... angry. Someone destroyed my shop."

"Your shop? So that's what this place was? Damn... that cougar really does know how to screw things up."

"Wait! You know who did this?" Byoki slammed his fist on the side of Mk.2 resulting in a subtle rubbling from the engine inside.

"Woah, woah, hold your chocobos crybaby." Benka reached into his hood and scratched the back of his head amidst the folds of his concealing wardrobe, "I didn't say I knew the cougar. I was there to see her make this mess though. She got herself all worked up and went and threw a freaking fireball into your shop. A second later the whole place went up in a single massive ball of flame."

Byoki seemed to rub his face again as he looked back at the shop remains muttering, "I was NOT crying." under his breath before continuing, "Did you see where she went? What does she look like?"

Picking up on the boy's whispers easilly Byoki pressed onward with unbreakable determination, "No sir, Crybaby. I ducked out of there the moment that place went up. Had to cover my hide from falling debris and stuff like that."

Byoki made his disapproval well known on his face but only restated the second part of his previous question, "What does she look like?"

"Who?" Benka made a confused face before answering quickly, "Oh right... the cougar."

"A cat did this?"

"No no, it's a figure of speech I picked up from a guy passing through town a couple weeks back. Anyway... that's not important. The girl was some old hag moogle with a serious attitude."

"A moogle? Couldn't you give me any more than that? I mean... there are tons of moogles sneaking around the city."

"Hmmm... well, she uses magic. That's about all I could tell you. Oh, and she seems to be traveling with a pretty nasty bunch of trouble makers. They were getting into fights on the rooftops. If I hadn't stepped in to help, one of them looked like he'd have gotten his head chopped clear off his shoulders."

"Hmm... I'll keep my eye out for them. Thanks." Byoki sighed and looked up to the sky, thoughts focused to his former master.

"No problem crybaby. See ya around!"

Byoki swiftly turned back to give his own retort but found the road empty. Finally grumbling under his breath, "NOT a crybaby."

[Moggie : Traverse Town : Inside Gummi]

Moggie was rather perturbed that she couldn't land anything on the one that attacked them. The moogle followed the rest of the group into the ship. If she found that guy later she would give him a piece of her mind.

"Hey old man," Moggie shouted back at Cid before she climbed inside, she hesitated for a moment before she continued, "Make sure the others stay safe, okay."

The Black Mage didn't wait for a response from Cid before she joined the others on board. Sure she might not of liked the method of life those other moogles lived, but they did take her in after their home world was destroyed. Even after she was gone, she could only pray that they would remain safe after she was gone.

Moggie didn't say anything more as she got inside. The floor seemed rather crowded, with so many people walking about. Moggie decided to fly so she wouldn't get stepped on. She soon sat herself on the shoulder of Kuumaru, where she decided she would sit while the ship took off.
