Kujo gave a disbelieving look. "A bookshelf!? What the... How did he? Ugh! Forget it! I give up!!!" He sat down in a chair, frustrated.
Sokras snorted cutely in his sleep. "...caresmel....ahppehs...yum..."

Sokras giggled again. "...dahnehs...eahs...evr'ting..." He turned towards Austin, his eyes open. "And I'll devour it all to nothing... Muheheheeh~"

"Hm? We're perfectly fine, Austin. Just contemplating on how to properly let you know that this boy won't survive the birth." 'Sokras' stood up and walked around the room. "I mean, he's a human. How does one expect a human to usher in the re-birth of an entire lake?"

"You said it your self. He is sleeping. Right now, we, the former denizens of the lake are speaking to you. A warning, if you please." 'They' turned towards Austin. "The Queen finds a great threat in Sokras. She purposely compressed us into an egg. One that'll hatch from within. Sokras' body will fill up with lake water and explode. Once that happens, we'll be reborn in our child-forms. He'll be an empty skin and a shatter soul. We figured you wouldn't like that, so we propose something else. An alternative solution for both of us. One that'll allow us to get even with her for breaking the rule of the land."

The smile that spread across Sokras' face was pure malice. "A simple transfer ceremony. The Stone of the Abyss and us. The result will be the the stone will become one with him, and we'll instead, hatch from within the Queen."
The princess stood up. "No! My mother is not at fault for her actions! The Stone manipulated her!"
"Ah, but princess, the Stone manipulates no one. It is a catalyst for destruction. Much like your dear hubby here once was. The Queen's greed and ambition attracted the stone and she took it of her own free will."

Kujo listened to the words spoken. Hm, so basically, the Queen was alrady tainted before the Stone came along? But by what purpose?

"Are you sure?" The voice was even and calm. "Very well. We tried to make this easier for you, hume." Sokras fell to the ground then, still asleep. But, of course, the hard ground woke him up. "Nn? Austin?" He looked up. "W-what's wrong?"
The princess looked at Kujo worriedly. "Kujo, it looks like it falls to you."
Kujo sighed. "Me again?"

Sokras was confused. Austin was making him worry. "A-are you...? What happened?"

The princess spoke quietly to Kujo. "You'll have to remove the egg with your power."
"You do realize we'll burn each other if our powers collide..." He reminded.
