Had she been wrong? Xion stared at the two as they awkwardly recovered from her statement. "I'm sorry...I didn't mean," she let it drop. Pressing about it or reminding them probably wouldn't turn out well. But it didn't make sense. From all her memories, or Sora's, he seemed to really care about Kairi so why weren't they together? Sora quickly chose a ride, a huanted house. Xion agreed just to save arguements.

(anyone know where Axel and Hikari went? she hasn't posted as them in awhile.)

Lakayna sighed quietly. It would probably all sort itself out eventually. In the back of her mind though, the dragon-girl felt a lingering sense of foreboding, as if terrible events loomed on the horizon. She brushed it off, fifuring it was nothing, and turned back to Axel. "So...let's get something to eat," she offered, blurting out the first thing that came to mind.

Kairi

Princess of Heart

"It's okay, don't worry about Xion," a still pink cheeked Kairi said, giving the ravenette a small smile when she had apologized for her statement. The crimsonette was sure that to a lot of people it looked like she and Sora were together. The Princess wished for nothing more then for it to be that way, but it was her fault that they weren't. She was afraid to tell the Keybearer how she felt. Naminé, Blink, and several others had told her that if she truly loved Sora she should tell him how she felt, and that they were sure Sora felt the same way about her.

Kairi knew they were right, but she was still a little shy and scared to bring it up. That really was unlike her, but it was because she loved Sora that she didn't say anything. He was one of her best friends, and she didn't want that to change. What if she did tell him she liked him, but he just wanted to stay friends and then began acting awkward around her? What if he thought of her as a sister? They had grown up together after all. Or what if the Keyblade Master had liked the Princess at one point, but didn't anymore. All these things ran through the red head's mind everytime she got the courage to say anything to the brunette, and they immediately made her reconsider saying anything. Kairi was so worried about screwing things up with Sora that she never stopped to think of the joy she'd feel if it did turn out that Sora loved her in return.

The crimsonette shook her head trying to clear her mind. She looked at Sora then at Xion and smiled when she said the ride was fine. "Come on," Kairi laughed, "Let's go get in line."

We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend.

Sora's face was still burning red as the three got up from the table to go to the Haunted House. He glanced over at Kairi, who looked a little red as well. Was she embarrassed that Xion would think they were a couple? He hoped not. Of course, she was way out of his league, so maybe there was a reason for that. Some little part of him wanted her to be embarrassed because the ravenette had hit the nail on the head. But did he want her to like him? He was pretty sure he did. He liked her... Whoa! Here was that whole "like" stuff again! Why was his mind working like this today? His face reddened deeper for a moment, but as he walked forward, the constant breeze seemed to blow it away. He was thankful for that, and at least the Haunted House would be dark if another blushfest arose.

Due to it being so close to lunch, and most kids wanting to ride more exciting rides, there was barely a line for the Haunted House. Sora, Kairi, and Xion got right in line and were getting seated in a car within minutes. The cars were like little coffins, and could fit three people. The sitting order worked out like this: Sora was on the end, Kairi in the middle, and then Xion on the outside. Sora could sense a little bit of unease in his crimsonette friend, so he was glad she wasn't sitting on the outside. He hoped Xion could handle scary stuff well like he could, considering there was bound to be plenty of stuff popping out on the sides. He grinned as the ride started to jerk forward and the bar closed over their laps.
"Here we go," he smirked devilishly. He felt like he should have fangs and a pumpkin over his eye. He quickly ran his fingers up Kairi's side, tickling her. "Very scary!" he taunted with a laugh.

((Irony: As I was typing this, I was listening to a KH Days playlist in random order. Guess what started playing the second I began to describe the cars. The Halloween Town theme... *laughs*))

Lakayna took Axel's hand and led him over to one of the stands. She paid for both their meals, though with a little protest from the spiky red-head. Rolling her eyes with a smile, he carried the things they'd ordered; drinks included; to a table near the stand. The two of them ate in silence, eventually both finishing and throwing their trash away. "Wat next?" she asked. It was Axel's turn to pick after all.

Lakayna listened to him as he suggested a slower ride they wouldn't puke up their just eaten food on. Lakayna agreed without a fight and followed as Axel led the way towards the ride he chose.

Kairi had said "lets go get in line", but in reality there was hardly a line at all. She, Sora, and Xion were seated in a car within minutes. The crimsonette was glad that the cars, which looked like little coffins, could fit three people. That meant they wouldn't be separated. She was also very glad that she was in the middle. Sora could handle scary things better then she could. She wasn't sure how Xion was with these things though.

After a moment the car jerked forward and a bar closed over their laps. The brunette said "here we go" with a devilish smirk as the ride started, and Kairi could tell he was enjoying himself already. He then quickly ran his fingers up Kairi's side, tickling her and taunting her with a laugh. "Aah, Sora stop it!" the Princess tried to say in a scared yet annoyed tone. But because the Keybearer had tickled her you could barely make out the tone because of her laughing.

We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend.

Xion followed the two. She felt guilty for making things awkward between them. She stood and waited in the short line with them silently before climbing into the coffin-seat. The ride jerked forward and she gasped softly. She never been on something like this, nor ever saw it in his memories. This was new. She turned her head to hear Sora tease Kairi and laughed. They were funny how they acted. "Sora, you're gonna scare her moret han the ride," she teased as she leaned forward to see his face. As she did a ghost looking puppet popped up near his head. She scremed from shock more than fear before laughing at herself.

Sora chuckled as Kairi laughed/yelled at him. Oh, this was gonna be fun. The brunette wasn't really easily scared by most things, considering he'd spent some time with the King of Halloween, Jack Skellington. Now, that guy could scare him. But he was funny too, so that made up for how terrifying he could be. The coffin rolled into a dark room and Sora couldn't see a thing. Then something white popped up. He didn't jump until he heard Xion shriek in surprise, then he laughed both with her and at himself.
"Yeah, and you two are gonna scare me more than the ride," he admitted with a laugh.

The scenery was lit with a blacklight, making white things appear a neon purple. Sora grinned, flashing his usually white teeth, but now they looked absolutely disgusting. He saw the two girls' teeth as they were laughing and smiling and realized he must've looked the same. Some creaks were heard here and there, and the brunette smirked as he waited for the next spook to pop out. Behind a tombstone, a bloody head sprung up and growled. He stared at it in shock for a moment, then laughed. Jack would've thought this was hysterical. Then, in the back of the room, he saw a pair of glowing yellow eyes. He tensed up, automatically assuming the worse, but when a black cat showed itself he calmed down.
"Coulda sworn that was a Heartless," he muttered, smiling.

Next to her, Kairi heard Xion tease Sora that he was going to scare Kairi more than the ride. The Princess looked at the ravenette and laughed, "You're probably right about that!" Xion had leaned forward to see Sora's face and as did she screamed then started laughing. The crimsonette turned around in surprise and saw Sora jump at a ghost puppet by his head. Since Kairi hadn't seen it jump out she really hadn't been scared by it. She did laugh though when Sora said that she and Xion were going to scare him more than the ride.

As the ride went on Kairi wasn't scared much by the things popping in and out. She smiled and laughed along with Sora and Xion. The ride was lit with a blacklight, so anything white glowed. Parts of the crimsonette's dress really stood out, and she laughed at the brunette's neon smile. A moment later though, from behind a tombstone, a bloody head sprung up and growled. The Princess shrieked then ducked, out of surprise and fear. Once she decided to stick her head back up again, she saw a pair of glowing yellow eyes. She gasped. They Heartless were here?! She relaxed though when she saw it was just a black cat. To her right Kairi heard the Keybearer mutter that he could have sworn it was a Heartless. "Me too," Kairi admitted with a laugh.

Xion laughed at Sora. He was right most likely. They would scare him more than the ride would. The ravenette grinned at Kairi as she turned to her. She was enjoying this. She liked the way everything was glowing purple. She would remember this as one of her own memories. She grinned when Sora did, both showing off thier purple lit teeth and laughing. She turned and looked forward as a decapitated head lurched from a gravestone. She hid her face in her hands quickly. it was more destirbing than scary tha time.

She looked up just as Kairi did and her eyes locked on the eyes that appeared in the ride. She immediately tried to stand and try to summon a sham of a keyblade but the Ride's bar caught her and Sora's words made her mind clear. Oh, it was a cat. She laughed at her stupidity as Kairi agreed with him. "Yeah..." she whispered softly as the ride turned.

Sora soon realized he wasn't the only one who'd thought there was a Heartless on the ride. He didn't feel so embarrassed now. It was an honest mistake, so he wasn't surprised he wasn't the only one who'd noticed it. Suddenly, he felt the ride slowing down. His forehead creased in suspicion and wariness as the ride stopped and the bar flew off of them. Immediately he stood, his right hand out and ready. Maybe he was a little too paranoid to be riding this ride. He looked around in the darkness, just now noticing that the blacklight was gone. It was as black as pitch in the room. He held out his left hand in the general area Kairi was.
"Take my hand, and you take Xion's," he said. "Follow me."

When Sora stepped off the ride and realized that he was on paved floor, he felt a little better. Okay, so the ride was supposed to stop and let them off here. That calmed his nerves a little bit. Still, he didn't like not being able to see in an unfamiliar place, and he resisted every urge he had to summon his weapon and create a light. After they'd taken a few steps down the path, he heard their car close up and roll back the way it'd came.
"No turning back now," he muttered. He figured that he might as well spook the girls while he had the chance. It was deathly quiet after his voice had stopped echoing. Even their feet made very quiet sounds as they made their way through the haunted house. The brunette was just waiting for something to pop out and scare the living daylights out of Kairi and Xion, and quite possibly himself.

Princess of Heart

Kairi frowned a little as the ride suddenly stopped and the safety bar flew up. Was that it? But it was pitch black. Where was the exit. "What's going on?" the crimsonette asked. In the darkness she heard Sora tell her to take his hand and Xion's, and follow him. "Okay got it," she replied. The Princess felt to her right and grabbed the Keybearer's hand, then felt to her left and grabbed the ravenette's hand.

The brunette stepped off the ride, and the girls followed. They stepped off the car and onto paved floor. "At least there's a path, and I'm glad I'm with Sora and Xion," Kairi thought to herself. After they had taken a few steps in the darkness the three heard the car close up and go back. The red head heard Sora mutter that there was no turning back now, and she whispered "Yeah..." in response. After that all was quiet, and causing the Princess to be on edge. She knew something super scary had to be coming up somewhere in the darkness. She gripped the other twos' hands a little more tightly.

~Heir to The World That Never Was~

Alexander watched as the struggle battle began. It appeared as if Hikari was having a little trouble already. While that concerned the nobody slightly, he wasn't completely surprised. Hikari had been so used to having the power of the realm of darkness flowing through her for such a long time, that she must have been having trouble learning to fight without it. "Hikari, come on. I know you can do this, you've had the same training I have." He told her with a small smile. This was just something for fun, not a real right, but he still wanted her to win. If she did then she would prove to herself that she didn't need darkness to fight.

(( Sorry for not posting, been pretty busy and actually forgot about it @_@. I think Hikari was waiting for me to post before doing so herself, so she'll probably do that now.))

Sora smiled softly when he felt Kairi's hand tighten around his. He felt kind of bad for her. Maybe he hadn't picked the best ride in the worlds to go on. He didn't like it when she was actually scared, just shocked or if she was scared to the point where she'd start laughing afterwards. This was a little more severe than that, and it was his fault they were in this mess. Well, he'd get them out, no sweat. Or so he thought.
"Don't worry, guys, I think we're almost at the end--" he started, but then heard something. He stopped walking suddenly. He felt first Kairi bump into him and then Xion bump into her. They were all stopped. He waited.

Sst... The brunette's eyes widened as he heard the sound again. It sounded like... like the hiss of a Heartless. He laughed at himself. Not that again. There were no Heartless on this ride-- Ssst! That time, the sound was much louder and closer.
"Kairi, cut it out," he told her. There was another hiss. Okay, so it wasn't her. "Xion...?" Another hiss told him the two girls weren't messing with him. "Just... come on..." He was more-or-less telling himself that as he took another step forward. Just as he did, something clicked, literally. There was a whoosh and Sora saw two bright yellow eyes soaring at him and the others. Without hesitation, the room lit up with the appearance of his Keyblade and he struck at it. There was a mechanical crash and the lights flickered on.

"Hey buddy! What're you thinking? That costs more than your life!" a voice yelled. Sora cocked his head at the thing he'd just pulverized. It was an old scarecrow attached to a metal rod that came out of the wall. There were lights inside that lit up its eyes. The brunette laughed sheepishly and his Keyblade flashed away.
"My bad," he blushed, but he wasn't really sure if he was telling that to the guy or his two friends.
