Vika turned away...she couldn't bear to see Nino smile at her, not after what she'd done. "Nino...I'm so, so sorry..."

"Why are you sorry, Vika? That's kind of a silly thing to say..."

"No...no, it's true. I'm so sorry...I sided with them to begin with, and...and after seeing what they did to you, what they did to the others..." She trailed off and her voice began to crack as a tear ran down her face, "...the way they just took Synra like that...I...I don't even deserve to be in your presence, Nino."

"Oh that's ridiculous." She sat up. "It's not your fault." She looked worried for Vika.

"It's not my fault?" she repeated. "It's not my fault?!" she repeated once again, almost screaming. "If it's not my fault, then whose is it? It was my decision to follow her, it was my decision to do what I did, and it was my decision that got Synra taken!" She fumed for a second. "I...I didn't know, and I followed like a herded sheep to power. I was so stupid..." She went silent for a moment.
"Nino...I just want to let you know...I fight for the resistance now."

Matthew's attention quickly left the inquisitous mage when he heard what sounded like a conversation coming softly from one of the next rooms over. That voice....
Pardon me for a moment, if you will. he said as he rushed to investigate his suspicions.

(( Yeah, you are PROBABLY not going to get the key, Matthew. Roy is kinda with the morphs, and Rei has no idea of his motives, and either way, his opinion won't be swayed by some guy who just walks up and says to give him the key to stuff...
And sorry for the uber-late post! D: ))
"What, the traitor? Roy's with the morphs, so if you're working with him, why shouldn't I just get rid of you now?" Rei clutched his Apocalypse tome, ready to unleash Hell on the thief if he tried anything. If he knew one thing about this situation, it was that Roy was an enemy.
And then the thief ran away, following some shouting, which sounded like Vika. Rei ran after him, anxious to see what she was screaming about.

Nino smiled. "I'm glad you're joining us, then... But you shouldn't beat yourself up over it. It's really ok."

"You can't tell me to not beat myself up over it." Vika slid out from under her sheets and sat on the side of the bed, stretching her cramped wings. "It's my fault things happened this way...if I'd fought with you Synra might not have gotten captured." She placed her feet upon the floor and stood up, using the bed to brace herself as she swayed in place awkwardly. "I'm going back to rescue her, or I'll die trying."

Rei walked into the room, seeing an exchange between Nino and Vika.
I'm going back to rescue her, or I'll die trying.
"Oh, none of that, Vika. If you wanna get back at them, then you can wait until we go, too. We can't have you kamikaze-ing on us, now can we? Wait, if you wanna fight them, then which side are you on now?"

Vika took a few awkward steps towards the door. Without turning around, she spoke over her shoulder. "I'm still fighting for Synra. If you want to join me, you can too. But I'm going, and you can't stop me."

Get rid of me? My, my what a rude thing to-- Nino?! Oh thank Elime (or whatever her name was)! I was afraid you were Serra for a minute... he exhaled, wiping a little sweat off of his forehead in relief. I'm glad to see that you are well Nino, but I can't stay to chat. Get well soon! ^^
Then as he turned around he noticed that the mage had followed him, and was still ready to erase him from the room. So that's what's become of Roy then, hmm? Heh, I never much cared for his father anyway. But that's beside the point. Exaustion was starting to set in, after having stayed up the entire night to wait for Soren, and it was showing if someone were to pay attention. The point is that... Do you think you could put that tome down? I'm not an enemy! Just ask Nino if you don't believe me.

"Not right now, you're not, Vika. You're hardly at your peak, so you'll just end up getting killed. That does Synra no good. So, if you're part of the Resistance now, then I order you to NOT go on a rampage through the Castle, and rest." Rei took out his Heal Staff again, and used it on Vika. "Now. Bed." Rei walked over to Nino, a worried look on his face. "Nino, how are you feeling?"

Grr. As much as she hated to admit it, Rei was right. She sat back onto the bed as Rei tended to her and then walked over to Nino. Her defiance was still profound, though. "I almost died once out there. I'm ready to do that again to save her. Every moment we wait, it's another moment they could do something to her!" She stopped speaking for a moment, tried not to sound so selfish. "It's another moment they could hurt the others."
