Cat didn't really know what to say. After all, she AGREED with him. Her life was pretty spectacular, all things considered; she loved what she did, she loved the way in which she got it done, she loved S... The people that she worked with. Everything was great. But she couldn't SAY that, so she just reached forward and covered his hand with hers. "At least you're doing your best with what you have," she told him, "And that's all anybody can really do."

"Yeah, I guess. Anyways," Danny finished his pizza. "Let's get ready to head out, we still have some riding to do, and then we got a demon lord to beat down."

Danny got up and walked to the counter, where he asked for the check. He recieved it, and paid with cash. Waling back, he asked, "You ready?"

Danny smiled briefly, then turned around and walked out of the rerstaurant, and to his bike. He walked around it a little inspecting it. Sure, once he turned into the Rider, any damage would go away, but as they say, old habits die hard. "Let's ride." He got on, pulled the key from his pocket, and inserted it into the ignition.

Starting the motor, he revved a few times. "Hold on," he said, out of habit more than anything. Black Cat could handle herself, and he knew it.

One more rev, and Danny immediately popped the bike into a wheelie, albeit with a good deal of effort; cruisers were NOT meant for that kind of riding, although the heavy rev helped out a lot. The bike rolled forward a few feet with one wheel in the air, and as soon as it landed, he gave it everything. Soon, they were going down the road at 100 MPH, without Danny so much as double-checking his turning. This was what he loved. Hero work be damned.

As he zipped past cars going much slower than he was, Danny began to think about how he'd have to deal with Azazel. Demon lord. Not the top dog, by any means, but still a formidable opponent.

Cat, on the other hand, was NOT thinking about the demon. At all. It was SO nice not to be thinking about the demon! Sooooo nice! For that moment, it was just the wind in her hair and the roar of the motorcycle.
