Joey lurched out and caught her, gently letting her down as he cradled her back with his arm. He moved his face in the way so that he stared her in the eyes and shook his head. "You're much more than that....whatever force may be letting you think that...don't" he said softly, knowing that her 'concience' couldn't exactly be natural.

For some reason she never concidered this possibility. "But...then what else could I...do?"

Joey smiled as he looked into her eyes. ":You're a lovely woman, who's intelligence is unique...you could amount to much greater things than you think" he said softly, starting to feel something that he swore he would try never to feel.

She couldn't control herself much longer. Everything he said made her feel special. No matter how her master protested, she didn't care anymore, she reached out and wrapped her arms around him resting her head on his chest and listened to his heart beat. Everything about him was just so... "Perfect..." she whispered aloud. She couldn't help but feel the slightest bit of betrayel on her masters part though. He had sworn that what she was beginning to feel was harmful but she didn't understand when it felt so good.

Joey didn't want to feel this way...but in the depth of his heart, he kind of did. He could almost feel the same feeling welling inside of Aria, but for a different reason. He wrapped his arms around Aria as well as he stood up, lifting her as he held her in his arms.

She stood up with him and then looked up into his eyes. "Joey..." she whispered softly. She could feel that this wasn't one sided and it was wonderful feeling his warmth transfer to her body. She smiled but couldn't think of anything to say or if it was right to say anything at all.

Joey smiled as he looked into her eyes, no longer trying to stop what he felt. "Yes?" he asked when she spoke his name.
Ever since the incident with his adoptive father, he told himself not to get close to any of the immortals, but he couldn't help it with Aria.

"I-I...I want to...I'm going to..." she stuttered while staring at his lips. She was at a loss for words so she decided to just show him. She stood on her tip-toes and gazed into his eyes a while before she pressed her lips apon his. She closed her eyes so that everything just melted away. Surprising to her, her master did nothing. Infact, he left her. Truthfully she was happy for a moment of peace to enjoy the present. And the present was with him.

Joey was a bit confused by Aria's stuttering. When she stood on her toes, he felt the sweet pressing of her lips against his, surprising him as his eyes widened a bit. He didn't want this..all logic told him no...but his heart drove him on. He closed his eyes and leaned into the kiss as he hugged her gently, feeling the unusual warmth from the vampiress.

She swallowed hard as she felt one bomb go off on the first level. "Joey...we're getting out of here." she knew something was wrong. "Th-They're blowing up we have to get out!" she said and grabbed his wrist, cursing as the moment was ruined. "Please!" she pleaded him and started on the way towards the stairs knowing it was simply the safest way to get out. She then realized it was day outside and then cursed more. Still she said nothing and urged on, determined to let nothing happen to him.

A voice rang through the chapterhouse.
"ALERT ALERT, ALL VAMPIRES EXIT VIA THE SUBWAY EXIT, ALL SHADOW STALKERS EVACUATE, IMMEDIATLY, GOING TO EMERGENCY PROCEDURES."
One by one, the doors began to seal as everyone was to make their escape into the light.

Joey felt the rumbling and cursed under his breath before following along with Aria. as they ran up the stairs, he noticed what time it was and swore again. "daylight....gotta think" he muttered as they ran through the halls. As they ran through, he ran through mentally what he had with him. space blanket! he thought as he reached back and grabbed the aluminum blanket. "Aria, as soon as we get into the front hall, drape this over yourself, it will block out the sun" he said as he opened up the blanket and carried it as they darted down the corridor.

Greatful she didn't have to turn back and leave him she took it and continued up the stairs. As soons as they arrived in the front hall she threw it over herself and even though the slightest sun light hit her skin it burned like hell. "Why are they doing this?!" she asked him her voice muffled by the blanket. She threw herself out of the front door and held it for him.

Joey shook his head in disbelief that this was happening. "I don't know love...I don't know" he said as he made sure the sunlight didn't hit her. damnit! where do we go?! he thought frantically. He'd be damned if he let Aria get hurt now.
