Sasha wore a conflicted expression, obviously at the offer of a battle. On one hand, she'd finally have a battle with Kilik, and at a place not devoid of spectators no less. On the other, if she lost, it would be pretty embarrassing. Plus, she did want to go and play around on the actual beach today. "Nah, not now. Maybe later." She finally answered. "I feel like lazing around on the beach and soaking in some rays. Maybe swimming if people ask nicely. She nodded to the her backpack, which was stuffed to the brim with beach accessories. "You're all welcome to come with if you'd like." She glanced down at Kirsa and smiled. "And would you change into something more fitting for a beach party? Lighten up."
"You can either follow me or not. Your choice." The zany girl giggled to herself and turned around, waving to her friends as she made her way to the sand.
---
Off in the distance a small speck could be seen getting larger on the horizon. "There it is Nitro!" cried Mike, the wind tossing around his hair so hard he was certain it would all fly off. They were cruising. The wind was hitting his bare skin so hard it nearly hurt, but it was so worth it. The boy looked down for an open area in the plaza and spotted one. Right by the fountain. He crossed his fingers in hopes to land in the general vicinity of his friends; they'd get a rise out of this little stunt. "Alright Nitro, just like we planned.
The Charizard grunted in compliance, and began a sharp descent. He rocketed towards the ground at full speed, letting loose his loudest and most ferocious roar. Many party-goers below shrieked in horror and began to run in every direction. The sight only made Mike's already large smirk wider. Moments before impact, Nitro let loose a tremendous cone of fire, which hit the ground for but a second as the Charizard landed. He hit the ground with a tremendous 'thud' sending a shockwave out in all directions which dissipated the fire instantly, instead transforming it into a momentary dome of smoke. When the smoke and screams subsided, there stood Mike and Nitro, both looking rather pleased with themselves.
"Hello Slateport." said the boy with a smile as he saw the stunned faces of many patrons.
"Hm," mumbled Sasha as she set down her blanket. "Must've been an Electrode or something."

"Rai chuuu," Shocker said happily, waving her paws around excitedly. The mouse was always happy whenever Kasiya's human friends remembered her, and even happier when the remembered her name, too. She spotted the little - well he could hardly be called little anymore - Houndour by M.A.'s side and waved happily at him too, but it was only after doing this that she recalled that Daemyn wasn't exactly the friendliest of Pokemon and that the only reaction she'd get would probably be a growl or a snarl. Ah, whatever. Shocker wouldn't let one sour Houndour ruin her mood! Clinging to her trainer's head the Raichu continued to look around for signs of any one else she would know. The only thing that could make this day better for Shocker would be if Mike and all his Pokemon showed up two. Well, that is Mike and all of his Pokemon minus the fruitcake known as Beacon, that is. The Raichu shivered at the thought of the Ampharos being allowed to roam free in a crowd of such people.
Kasiya, meanwhile, was giggling at the brown-haired boy as he hurried away in embarrassment. "I really don't know who he is," she admitted with a shrug, shifting the egg in her arms a bit. "He sure was cute though," she added with a light smirk. As she looked around though, she was getting the impression that this ogling thing that was going on between the teenage boys and teenage girls was going to be the theme of the day. "Say M.A.," she asked suddenly, when her miniature search failed to turn up any traces of a certain redheaded-somebody, but she changed her mind before another word left her lips. "Uh, forget it." Asking M.A. if she'd seen a boy with red hair at all today would be like asking if she saw any sand at the beach.
She didn't get a chance to further her thoughts on the matter though, as for an instant the ground seemed to tremble a bit and in the distance Kasiya could hear people screaming with panic. Her heart bottomed out into her stomach and she was certain she'd gone a little bit pale. Turning in the direction of the chaos she glanced at M.A. "Should we go check it out?"
=-=-=-=-= Even as the Wigglytuff fired another Shadow Ball at Beldum Jaeshan could see that this wasn't going to work out in his favor. The only way Beldum could attack would be if it got in close, and with all those orbs of darkness flying everywhere it was next to impossible. When Beldum was struck by a lucky Shadow Ball Jaeshan held up its Pokeball and recalled it. "That's good for now, Beldum," he said, grinning at it. "You sure have improved in only a few short days."
He didn't even get to utter a word to Combusken before she was up out of her spot in the sand and dashing towards the Wigglytuff. When Stacey ordered another Shadow Ball Jaeshan ordered Combusken to counter with a Flamethrower. The two attacks collided and made a small explosion of sorts, filling the area with smoke. The crowd seemed to be getting a little more into it now that Combusken was on the field, and their cheers only helped to fuel the Fire-type's determination. Jaeshan sighed and shook his head, hoping Combusken's ego wouldn't end up being her downfall.

Kilik snapped his fingers. He'd really wanted to battle her. He watched her skip off then looked over at Kirsa. "She's right," he laughed, "That's not exactly 'beach party' material you're sportin'." He didn't have much room to talk, after all he was still decked out in jeans and a button down.
Elekid flailed his little arms and nodded. Of course he wanted to see her Pokemon! Maybe it was a Pokemon he could become best friends with. The plug glanced over at Kilik with a 'can we stay a few more minutes?' look then back at Kirsa. The boy sighed and slipped his hands into his pockets. "Maybe your Pokemon would like some of the fresh air?" he suggested, "We could both walk around and find something more appropriate to wear." He hoped he wasn't coming off as too pushy. Then again, it's not as if he had to make everyone happy.
He felt the ground shake and began coughing a little bit as smoke billowed in their direction. Kilik lifted his head to see what was going on and laughed when he saw the tell-tale orange head and wings of Nitro. "Hey Mike!" Kilik called out, waving his arms. Considering how tall the boy was, his friend would have no problem finding him. "Over here!"

Serenity ducked behind one of the trees for cover and quickly changed into her bathing suit. A cute bright blue tank swim top and shorts, something simple that still allowed her some semblence of modesty. She left her towel in her bag, but pulled out a pair of hot pink flip flops to wear on the beach insted of the sneakers she had on yesterday. She let her hair out of the now haphazard braid that it was in, and figured for the next little while anyway she would let it flow free.
Georege enjoyed the fact that his trainer now matched him. Plus he also thought that Serenity looked a lot more relaxed today than she had since the day they left the house. Maybe she would join him in the water today, or maybe she would want to find that girl and her riachu. It was the first time that the mudkip had actually seen Sere comfortable around someone. He hoped that it was something he would see more of.
Once Sere had packed everything up the trainer and mudkip started walking down the beach. The feeling of hunger in her stomach seemed to be able to keep the panic away. She did notice how ever that the population at the beach had more than doubled. She was impressed that so many people had come out just to hear professor Rowen talk about the pokemon of the new region. Maybe she would end up with some friends on her trip. It would make it a little less boring.

Riza couldn’t believe just how gentle Sneasel was being while she hitched a ride on her trainer’s back. Despite all those sharp claws she was holding on without so much as leaving a mark on Riza’s fair skin. As the duo made their way beachside the crowd got noticeably thicker with both people and Pokemon, and Riza couldn’t help but snicker every time she saw a bathing suit or swim trunks in bad taste. On the other hand, she was very content to flaunt her features every time a head turned to look at her. After all, she took pride in her appearance and she loved to look good. She didn’t think herself to be vain though, just someone who thought appearances were more important than some people would have you believe.
At one point she passed by a boy who, in her humble opinion, didn’t look like he belonged on the beach at all, but she couldn’t help but smile at the cute little yellow Pokemon that was sitting up on his shoulders. The ridiculously heavy clothing he wore was trumped only by the girl he was standing with. She looked as though she’d escaped from boot camp and Riza decided to keep her comments to herself for now, and instead wondered if she were actually there for the beach party or for some sort of security. ’With all these people though they’d need more than one girl for that,’ she thought idly as she continued on her way, deciding that there had to be more interesting people than those two somewhere on this beach.
It wasn’t until a small shockwave rocked the ground that Riza stopped in her tracks completely. All around her people began to panic and run in the opposite direction, but Riza felt compelled to find the source of the tremor. She looked to Sneasel, who nodded in reply and together they moved forward, having to sidestep several people as they pushed past her. ‘Why is everyone freaking out? It’s probably just a battle or something,’ she thought, irritated by their cowardice. However, when a pillar of smoke could be seen directly in front of her, Riza began to second guess her curiosity and decided to wait for the smoke to clear. “Just what the heck is going on here?”

Giovanni was all set. He stood in his monitor room, his hands clasped behind his back. On each screen was a different section of Slateport, being recorded on the ground by operatives dressed to bled in with the crowd, and in the air by a flock of Wingull (he had to pick an inconspicuous Pokemon). A few technicians sat in chairs in front of him, making adjustments to volume levels, snapping pictures that could seem important, or zooming in and out with the cameras. The man cringed when he noticed one camera completely blacked out for a moment. "Report!" he snapped.
"It's nothing, sir," said another man, "smoke. We'll be able to see an image shortly." He tacked away on his keyboard and soon enough, the picture came back to the screen. Giovanni smirked widely. He saw a certain Charizard on the monitor, along with a familiar boy.
"They're there!" the leader cackled, "Just as I planned. I knew they couldn't resist. Simmons!" he snapped, glaring down at one of the men at the station, "Shock one of the Wingull to follow that boy with the Charizard. We'll follow him from above, along with any friends he happens to come across."
Mike, Kilik, Kasiya, and all of you children will finally fall! he thought. "Thomas!" he barked at another man, "Signal Mai and her troops to set out now."

"BALLOONS!! GET YOUR BALLOONS HERE!" The giant Azumarill called out to the crowd. Sure, she was getting quite a few looks, but hey -- she was playing the part of the clown. Weren't the kids all happy? People were laughing and smiling, and that was the point.
This "clown" was Blythe. She grumbled. "I didn't know THIS would be my job for coming over here.." She handed a green balloon to a short brunette, probably no older than 5. But hey, everyone was happy, and that made Blythe happy, too. A very small Snorunt was on Blythe's heels, with a purple balloon following closely behind her. A group of kids were gathering around the purple balloon.. was it moving by itself?
The Azumarill quickly turned around. "Ooh~ Silly kids. That's not a balloon!" Blythe smiled in response to many questioning looks. "This is my Pokemon. He's from Sinnoh, and he's called a Drifloon. Isn't he /adorable/?" A sparkle of admiration could be seen in her eyes. This sparkle turned to a hint of rage when the kids tugged on the Drifloon's "legs". "Whoa whoa, watch it! He doesn't like being pulled!"
As the kids had their turns tugging and pulling, the crowd slowly thinned out. The Drifloon took to trying to tug back on the kids. He had even tried this with a few adults, which resulted in many.. frights. "Mimi," Blythe addressed the Snorunt, "what are we gonna do with --"
BOOM!
"In the name of Arceus, WHAT WAS THAT?!" Blythe yelled, and without a second thought, started running towards the source, completely disregarding the balloons in her hands. (poor `loonies!) The Snorunt quickly grabbed onto the "tail" of the costume, acting as if this was normal. Hm. Many of the people at the festival probably got the biggest shock of their life right then, being run over by a giant Azumarill and all. But with Blythe, that was totally normal.

"Well, that was mildly successful." said Mike as he brushed himself off and surveyed the response to his little stunt. Momentary panic and disarray, a few gawkers at him and his Pokemon, and the occasional grumpy mother shooting dirty looks at him. At least they weren't throwing food. He stuffed one hand into his bathing suit pocket and lifted the other up high, waving to the crowd like some sort of rock star.
"Hey Mike! Over here!" said a somewhat distant and familiar voice.
"Kilik?" inquired Mike, climbing atop his Pokemon to get a better look. A random spot of black hair stuck out in the crowd, two yellow prongs stood up beside him. "Must be his Elekid." he mumbled to himself. "Hey man!" he called back, making his way through the crowd to meet his friend.

Kurine could see that, though Ricky's Pidgey had been weakened a good deal from battling Cyndaquil, is still had more than enough stamina left when it used a Tackle on her little fire-type Pokemon, and caused him to faint. Kurine returned Cyndaquil to his Poke Ball and murmured, "Well, at least you tried your best."
"Yeah! Way to go, Pidgey!" Ricky cheered, smiling broadly at his bird Pokemon.
"H-hey!" Kurine stuttered, a bit taken aback by the boy's little victory outburst. "I still have another Pokemon!" She added, switching Cyndaquil's Poke Ball for her Sentret's.
"Oh. Sorry!" Ricky shouted to her, looking a bit embarrassed. Kurine tossed the Poke Ball up into the air and Sentret was soon standing in front of her, eyeing his opponent as Kurine caught the ball again. "Pidgey, use Tackle on it!" Ricky commanded quickly, and the Pidgey slammed into the Sentret with a decent amount of force, knocking the Pokemon over and annoying it further, not to mention the fact that he didn't particularly take kindly to be called an "it".

Sneasel hopped down from Riza’s shoulder as the smoke lifted, and for a minute the two of them held their breath, waiting for whatever mystery it was to reveal itself. Riza frowned when a rather plain-looking boy an a Charizard seemed to be the cause of it and from what Riza could gather the kid had just been showing off or something. “Lame…” she murmured, shaking her head. Sneasel looked up and her and shrugged. So far this party thing was turning out to be a drag. She watched as the boy and his Charizard made their way towards the two kids who were incredibly overdressed and she sighed. ‘At least they came here knowing other people,’ she thought, mentally cursing herself for letting her brother convince her to get on that ship. And alone, at that.
She motioned to Sneasel and together they continued to stroll along the shoreline. At least one good thing had come from that boy’s silly stunt. The beach in this area had cleared out pretty quickly, leaving quite a few picnic tables and umbrellas free for use. Riza and Sneasel had their pick and they did just that. “Not a bad spot at all,” she said, tossing her bag on the table. She untied her shoes and set them beside the beach chair before she slipped off her skirt. It wasn’t a big deal since she was wearing the bottom half of her bathing suit, and she tossed it on the table next to her knapsack before she lied down on one of the beach chairs and stretched out, ready to soak up the warming rays of the sun. Sneasel, while not exactly a fan of the warmth of the beach nor the bright sun decided to do the same, jumping up into the chair and relaxing.

Train pulled out the towel she had gotten from the store and draped it over the chair. It was kind of thick, and soft, and was checkered black and white. She picked up her backpack and walked aimlessly for a moment before spotting a locker room, and made her way over to it. She managed to find one that was free and took the key out of it, putting her backpack in after taking the pouch she used to carry her Poke Balls, as well as her PokeNav and whatnot from it. She made sure that the locker was, well, locked, before dropping the key into the pouch along with her Poke Balls and PokeNav. She then exited the locker room and was going back to her beach chair when she heard a loud booming noise and saw a big cloud of smoke rise up into the sky. Seeing as how there was nothing else to do, she began walking in the direction of the smoke, even though there seemed to be quite a few people running away from it. Train hoped it wasn't as frightening as people seemed to be making it out for, plus, it had quieted down right after the smoke had cleared.

When Combusken jumped onto the battle field Robin couldn't help but feel the fiery pokemons enthusiasm. It seemed that Luffy felt that way to from the way he perked up on her shoulder. Grinning Robin made turned to watch the battle but soon her attention was torn from it by a loud crash and a bunch of smoke going up. "What the hell is that?" She muttered turning her head to the side to try to see what exactly had happened. Grey eyes widened when she saw the large orange body of a fully grown Charizard. She let out a little groan, she wanted to go see it! Charizards were so cool! Still she was watching Jaeshans battle and she intended to see it through to the end, after that she would dash off to see if it was still there. Nodding to herself Robin turned back to the battle, which was pretty interesting, there were explosions now. Luffy really seemed to like the explosions and gave happy cheers whenever one went off. Hey as long as the little Aipom was happy and not causing her trouble Robin couldn't complain one bit.

Kirsa glanced over her shoulder to watch Sasha walk away, then glanced up at Kilik. They both had a point, of course. Her uniform was possibly the further thing from comfortable beachwear. "Well....I have a swinsuit in my bag, but..." She reached into the pouch and withdrew the Houndour's Pokeball. "I do not like being so under-dressed around so many people." With a press of the button the Houndour was released, and stood blinking in the sunlight for a moment before taking notice of the other Pokemon standing in front of him. Was he supposed to battle? Hans looked up at his trainer for instructions, who gave him a look that made it clear he was to behave as she straightened up.
"I will accompany you if you wish to find something, though. I...do not know anyone else here, really." Aside from Sasha, who seemed like a very nice girl, however Kirsa had a feeling that Sasha would only thrust her into more embarrassing situations, be it unintentional or otherwise. Personally, she wanted to try and hold out on those for a while. "If that is okay with you, that is." Hans, meanwhile, was not quite sure what to think of the plug Pokemon. If he wasn't supposed to fight him, what was he to do? He remained still save for his nose, which twitched ever so slightly in indication that he was taking in the Elekid's scent. Hm...
The entrance of the Charizard and its trainer startled the military girl, who was about to take on a defensive stance in case this was some sort of attack, but decided against it when Kilik called out to the trainer. "...A friend of yours?" She inquired toward Kilik as she watched this Mike make his way over.

Kilik nodded, "I'd love for you to accompany me." He felt pretty strange that even Mike was in his swim trunks. Now he really had to get something. "Aww, c'mon Kirsa. It's a party. Let loose!" Then again, he didn't even really know her. Maybe she had some deep underlying reason as to why she didn't wear swimsuits around so many people. He blinked when Houndour was released then glanced up at Mike.
"Yep. This is Mike," he introduced the girl, "This is Kirsa. Mike's one of my save the world buddies." Nonchalantly, he brushed his hand on his chest and laughed. He then proceeded to give Mike a high-five.
Elekid examined the dog in front of him and blinked. It looked just like M.A.'s Pokemon. There was more than one? Oh, dear this was going to get confusing. The plug lifted a nubby arm and patted Hans on the head a few times. The fur was soft, the skull plate...not so much. He looked around for someway to shake hands with him, but as there were no hands laying about, he extended his. Maybe Hans could figure something out.

Mike bee-bopped through the mob of people, eventually making his way to his buddy. Oddly enough there was a girl with him. For being such a lone wolf Kilik sure does have his fair share of chick-friends. Strangely enough, this particular chick-friend had a momentary flash of hostility in her eyes which subsided when Kilik mentioned they were friends. Her Houndour was still a bit on edge though. He could tell it was young, the coloration on its head plate was a solid grey hue, and free of marks. Houndour and Houndoom's head plate colors faded as they grew, and being the vicious type, they got scratches and marks too. Jeez, even if I were some sort of nefarious villain, would she really think a Pokemon that little would stop me? He stifled a small snicker as he looked to Nitro for size comparison.
But his quick bout of egotism subsided soon after, high fives had that effect. "Nice to meet you Kirsa." he said following his reciprocation. "I like your outfit." As he spoke to her, he had a hard time looking away from her. It was her eyes, they were so intense. "And yes, I happen to be a 'save the world' buddy." He laughed. It was quite an amusing title.
While the humans were talking, Nitro found a simple joy in feeling the hot sun on his skin. The Charizard smiled happily as he walked over to a free spot away from the crowd and flopped on the ground, the hot cement feeling so good on his stomach.
