Gil chuckled "I reckon that's the entirety of the reason for moogle knights, so they can hide all that cuteness behind their armour. That said only the most expensive moogle armours come with pom pom protectors." he said sitting back "Though the fibre that connects the pom pom to the moogle is one of the strongest things in the world, you can't cut through it conventionally though their pom poms are still sensitive so if you ever come across a moogle knight who is fighting you just tickle that and they'll be down for a bit" he said
Jeckhart sighed accepting Hebal's hug happily "I'll be fine besides Master Kimino asked me to protect you all while I was staying with you so I will go, besides it's not like they can take it again" he sighed.
Zadina flicked a finger gently while Jeckhart was hugging Hebal and his shoes tied themselves when he wasn't looking "Well lets not think of it sadly like that, it's been over 50 years since I've been in a conventional school system so you'll need to forgive me for forgetting they might be busy though it was fun when they took me to school last time" he said.
Oassu laughed seeing the embarrassed little boy who almost hit Felina run off "Well maybe he recognised you and thought it was treason but I can understand why they'd want to keep you inside when you were younger, front of a carriage is very exposed and vulnerable though I didn't think you did much travelling as a kid" he said

Hebal smiled giving Jeckhart a tight squeeze before releasing him "No they can't but try going about with a bit of an open mind and you never know, we might show you a really fun time since my home really isn't bad most times" she lectured holding back a small laugh at seeing Zadina helping out.
Alpha nodded striding over and unlocking the door "Thats a good way of putting things. A little optimism never hurt anyone. Personally, I've never been to a school in my life and I turned out just fine. Though my kids definitely had fun when they went to one until a certain age and started rebelling a lot more"

Satoshi frowned a little "Why anybody would want to try and cut one of those pompoms off I don't know but I would like to think with a little hard work and training they would be able to resist being tickled. I know I can resist it despite being ticklish in certain areas" she shrugged allowing Terrato to slither onto the table "Is it true some of them even ride armoured chocobos? If so I would love to see that"
Hayate smirked nodding his head "Oh yes there was a very good reason why you weren't allowed up front considering your love of jumping onto the backs of random animals be it a chocobo or a marlboro. Part of the reason I'm taking you through back streets also is so you can avoid unwanted attention in the more crowded area since everyone here knows the royals"
Felina groaned "That was only one or two times and I've grown up since then. But sure royal visits to all the main settlements occasionally happened. Like when I came of age they insisted I went and paraded myself around. Gotta keep people happy somehow and show them that the royals do care about those outside of Yithra. Elithana will be expected to go around showing off her new husband I'm sure in the near future"

Gil chuckled "Well people have to fight moogles at some point and sure the chocobo's get armour all chocobo knights have armoured chocobos, didn't you see Boco wearing his in battle?" he said as the lady brought their soup over to them.
Oassu snickered "Well that would be funny but don't want you scaring the horses and stuff by pouncing on their back, don't you own horses to ride them anyway if you wanted to ride some?" he said "Zadina is probably lucky he doesn't need that treatment when he comes of age sounds a real hassle." he said.
Jeckhart smiled "Alright lets get going then" he said stepping off the ship and instantly shivering "Urggh the humans have it so horrible they are so vulnerable to the elements" he said moving swiftly back into the ship to get his jacket.
Zadina cheered "Yaaay lets hurry along though most being feel the cold just demons seem somewhat resistant to it, doubt Cap'n Alpha will appreciate the snow and wind being a fire demon though" he said folding his cloak around him tightly.

Hebal giggled looking at her own clothes "Sorry your all cold. I wouldn't now since my fur keeps me lovely and warm in this temperature so I can wear anything I fancy in all weather though when it's hot I get really hot and can't cool down very easily" she sung jumping down not even bothering to use the airship steps "The only bad thing about snow is you get wet from it" she continued making herself a snow angel.
Alpha chuckled watching from the door waiting so he could lock up "It doesn't bother me so much. You'll probably notice where I've been walking as I tend to melt the snow benieth my feet when I walk. Also I can play around with my body temperature as I please from anything between human body temperature to volcano temperature. It's just a case of keeping it nice and high in winter" he tried explaining

Satoshi smiled and thanked the lady in her own language "That wasn't whay I meant but I'm guessing from the answer that its true that moogles have their own chocobo knight unit of people. I just think it would be really cute to see a moogle reding up on a chocobos back assuming they don't spend the whole time bouncing. Now enjoy your soup an hopefuly you will find something fishy that you actually like"
Felina nodded with a small smile "Yeah Zadina is lucky enough to be just far away enough in terms of relations to be able to go about normally without everyone expecting something from you. And when we're married you won't have to do that as they are only ever interested in the oldest .... if they time it right in fact Elithana might not even gave to bother touring either" she pondered. "Oh and yep I have two white horses in the palace stable"
Hayate paused thinking over which alley to take them through next as the path forked "You need to start using the horses sometime. Thinking about it I'm pretty sure I've even used your horses more than you. Now what were they called... Ereg and Tyuru. Why one wanted to call your horse Cheese I don't know" he quietly added shaking his head as he chose the left path.

Gil nodded a little hesitant about the soup before trying it anyway "I wouldn't say it's so much as they have a special unit just that they tend to have an aptitude for riding chocobos though only the moogles on the ground will do it as Goug obviously has no need for Chocobos being a skycity" he said
Oassu smiled "Yeah though he's not that far away he's your cousin after all direct blood link but he's far enough away from the throne to not be bothered though I bet if he took an interest in elven politics he could wield quite a bit of power when he's older for the Elven Kingdom" he said
Jeckhart frowned as he re-emerged "So why do you do that then if it makes your fur wet?" he sighed "I hated getting my feathers wet, felt all horrible when I tried to fly and was a lot of drying out when it was all done." he said shivering somewhat despite his big trenchcoat.
Zadina nodded "You can always stand near Cap'n Alpha if you get cold he's great and warm if you need to dry off" he said standing near Alpha himself "Though come on MissHebal we should get going to see Amane as soon as possible in case we can't get into the village or anything right now!" he said impatiently.

Hebal shrugged bouncing up from the ground shaking most of the snow off her fur "I did it because its a fun thing to do. Sometimes the fun of one activity is worth the not so nice cold and wet thing" she answered ignoring the shivering of her own now cold body "We'll be fine getting into the village so relax Zadina"
Alpha snickered at Zadina's lack of patience but placed a hand on his shoulder to warm him up "Sounds about right, I'm a portable radiator in the winter time. Your village is this way right?" he asked upon receiving a nod from Hebal began by pulling back the tree branches for them "Mu is the same, she doesn't like getting her fur wet. Neither did Iota and my old neighbour certainly hated snow"

Satoshi sighed wolfing down her food having not realised just how hungry she was "Ahh this is good, I missed foods like this" she comented pushing a greedy Terrato away from the soup "But there might be some who train up there especially if lucky enough for a gold chocobo and if they visit they might bring thembirds along right? Aren't there at least one or two up there as palace security?"
Hayate groaned mumbling "If he knows whats good for him he'll stay well away from elven politics since that can turn really nasty and fast. Too many power hungry maniacs willing to stomp on eachother for the sake of a few words with the king"
Felina smiled back happy to see an opening out the back streets coming up "Zadina will always get a litttle bit of influence because of how he's related to us but I think he would be happier having a more back seat role and enjoying him self with few responsibilities in the meantime. And he's right about the not so nice people. One guy I dated only payed any attention to me because he thought he could use me to get to dad. But he soon got his just deserts" she added with a snicker.

Gil nodded taking his time on his own food "Well sure it's the moogle nobility, they keep a small unit all of whom ride gold chocobos as part of the King's personal bodyguard, I hear he himself is quite the rider though I've never seen him try it" he said "Would you like a drink by the way?" he said spying a table not far away with pitchers of various drinks on it for the guests to use.
Oassu smirked "Well Zadina wouldn't need to be so bad, he's already close to the king though good thing your family didn't marry you off to some chump like that then, where's a good place to eat in this little place then?" he asked the others as his stomach reminded him of their current mission.
Jeckhart frowned seeing Hebal shiver "Would you like my jacket Lady Hebal?" he asked as they started trekking towards the forest idly wondering what Alpha's original Angel did to become a demon "Well being wet isn't a pleasant sensation but when you can fly the wind tends to dry you off rather quickly" he said
Zadina shuddered as the wave of warmth washed over him "Thank you Captain Alpha but maybe Miss Hebal should go first I seem to recall Viera being very defensive of their territory and they might attack you if they see a Fire demon approaching" he said thinking a fire demon would not work well in a forest.

Hebal shook her head glancing over at Jeckhart "No no you keep your coat silly or you will get cold too. I'll be fine and dry off don't you worry" she told him stepping through the path made by Alpha "Okie dokey I'll go first but I would strongly recommend when going nearer to the village that you change into your human form. Zadina is right, you might scare everyone. Sorry but they aren't used to demons at all let alone ones showing up randomly going like BOO!"
Alpha chuckled shaking his head "Now thats a bit of an exaggeration. If I wanted to scare someone then I would just roar at them but as you wish" he sighed waiting for everyone to get past before initiating his transformation "At least I'm not melting everything I walk on now" he muttered.

Satoshi nodded following Gil's gaze "I wouldn't say no to a drink but I would rather have plain tap water than any of the stuff over there" she answered curious as to whether or not Gil was enjoying his soup. "Now that I would like to see in Goug one day, I'll add it to the list of things to see and do before settling down and having a family and all that" she laughed.
Felina sighed "Oh that guy got beaten up pretty badly and booted out of elven politics permanently but it did leave me feeling pretty stupid. Still lucky for me since it means I got to meet someone decent; you instead" she grinned pulling Oassu into a hug then patted his tummy. "We'll eat soon I'm sure"
Hayate paused pointing out across the street to a giant sign shaped like a cat hanging above the door "Thats the cafe I'm taking you guys to. Has just about anything you could want for baked products and does a really good cooked breakfast along with other things. And Elorin is very picky about who gets a chance at marrying one of his daughters if you hadn't already guessed from this whole merry adventure"

Gil smiled indicating a jug of clean purified water on the table "I'll get you some though I doubt you'll see the bodyguard unless we linger around the palace or meet the royals and stuff but I'll be back in a second" he said moving towards the table.
Oassu nodded "I'd figured he would be but I'm not really interested in trying anything with Elven politics so I'll be fine just ignoring them all" he chuckled glad to have reached the cafe "Right lets get stuck in, are you joining us Hayate?" he asked.
Zadina giggled now that he was taller than old man Alpha "Well you certainly look friendlier in this form Cap'n Alpha I'm sure the Viera won't be scared by you now but will you be cold in that form?" he asked the demon.

Hebal nodded hopping up into one of the trees unaware that in doing so she had just knocked a load of snow off heading towards the heads of the rest of the group "all you need now is a walking stick and you'll look dare I say it... harmless hehe. Anything to do with fire is considered scary in these forests because all it takes is one little fire and the whole forest could co up in smoke though your beard could do with a little trim sometime soon" she suggested.
Alpha frowned glancing down at his chin "Hmm... my beard really isn't that long is it. Personally I kind of like it" he sighed not to happy about the snow landing upon him or with the comments he was receiving "Nah because even in this form I'm still able to thermoregulate like a fire demon. Think of it more as a disguise than a complete physical transformtion"

Satoshi sighed "Well thats a pity I would have thought the odd guard about might be patroling on a chocobo as well. But ok, if you don't mind, while you go get that water I'll just scrubble down a small letter to my folks to say we're coming for the festival as I haven't actually told them I'll be coming home and I have a good feeling it will reach home on time" she decided getting a piece of paper from her bag.
Hayate smirked and nodded his head "As if I'm going to miss out on breakfast at a really nice place I haven't been to in ages. Though if you want rid of me I can always find a corner to lurk in. I'll leave you to shop for those clothes when I go to sort the carriage out"
Felina laughed shaing her head "We don't hate you enough to do that. Probably just thought that you might have had breakfast while on the airship. But good idea to ignore the politicians. Well maybe you could befried one or two of them but just stay out of their business you never know nowerdays. Not everyone is bad"
