Ertai, just because you prove victor often, doesn't mean how you do so isn't flawed. Psionics is fine - as long as it's used rationally. Let me.. try to explain this with two example fights, summarized.





It's obvious, which of the two would be better.

Ertai, you are skilled - but don't consider yourself a 'high tier'. Just when one believes they are on the top, a new 'top' is revealed; every roleplay skirmish that isn't total garbage should teach you something new, and not just in the means of attack & defense.

Of course, you don't have to take my word for it. I agree with you that roleplaying is a hobby and getting emotional over it.. isn't really outlandish. It happens in plenty of other "hobbies" too.

Hell, I think basketball's stupid. I hate playing the game. domokun Yet, there are millions of people who treat it like it's a serious way of life, that it proves you're this and that, etc. I can't argue that, in the right moment, it isn't life-making- and thus, it should cater to your emotions.

Same with roleplaying. Same with games. Same with the internet. Same with war. Same with talking to your friend. Same with every God damned action in life.

THAT SAID - Ertai, I don't know if you respect my opinion or think it useful. Honestly, I don't care either way. But, if you can take one thing from me, it's that you need to accept other's oppinions if it will aid you. Yes, in Gelmax's case, ignore that whiny little b***h's every word; in fact, I highly recommend you add the a** to your ignore list. He's just an instigator. domokun

However, me, Clash, and numerous other people just have you a number of hints and advice of our own. Are we saying we're above you? No. Not saying we're 'below' you, either. Do you have to change your personality, change how you deal with things? Nah. Just.. incorperate this, into who you already are and how you already roleplay - and you can only grow better.

Oh, and off-topic: MY ATTACKS ARE NOT ******** MAGIC, I'VE GOT TWO PEOPLE WHO THINK IT IS, FOR THE LOVE OF GARD. ;.;

You don't have to take suggestions, and the only suggestions you ever really give to people usually aren't constructive and usually just deal about why your way is always better. It kind of depends on the way you present it, too, and on what exactly you're presenting. Believe me, I know you don't gotta take any s**t you don't want, but we're just talking, so take it in stride.

Your beliefs are your beliefs. But if you haven't noticed, your win-loss ratio on Gaia is becoming more and more a "draw" and "no contest" ratio because nothing can ever be done when people are stubborn. And the OOC that comes from these kind of disputes, and the blurring of the lines between OOC and IC, is ruining Gaia(n roleplay).

It shouldn't be a game of bullshit at all. It should be ********' fun for everybody. If you want your way to be the only way, then write a fanfic or something. This is a community and should be treated as such (not directed at you, just my thoughts on RP).

A post can still be a damn good post to read (and isn't that what it's all about?) without using magic. Your whole goal should be to make the post enjoyable to read, and presented in a way that is enjoyable to read.

We're not trying to push you down. Least I'm not. I want you to ********' rise. I am an Ertai fan, and have been since the start. I just want to see some changes.

Those threats are funny, and so is the turmoil you've caused. You've definitely gotten what you wanted, recognition. 3nodding And also, the moment you made your return to Gaia, I was waiting to see you and Gelmax clash and knew it would be inevitable, and sure enough, you guys did and do all the time. And you're probably right about what would happen if you left, but all egos and s**t aside, Gelmax is actually one of the most sensible Gaians I know, and he can present one damn good argument. And he's about balanced RP.
