*Yuri may not have known it at first, but Nana was with Mastema in the Peace right now. If he was close enough, he may be able to hear Nana's giggling, though at the same time Yuri was in danger. He was in the west, a place Mastema told the non-family residence not to go, as it was Nana's bit of the Citadel. That meant Mastema had put a few measures into place to keep outsiders.... out. Granted it didn't always work. Tyrsais had been in the west on at least two occassion. Focht had also been there more than once, in the Peace even, as had Shadow. Though at the time these occurances took place, the Vanguard had not been created. The V5 for instance would be the one to watch for, it was a little insane for lack of better words, and it was programed to remove those who shouldn't be there. Namely that was Yuri, who had wandered towards the Peace... rather than Tyrsais' fortress within the Citadel, in the opposite direction. The vampire fledge should keep on his toes, but he didn't know he was required to*

*Nana meanwhile was still giggling away, at least until Mastema finally removed himself from the snow. They still needed a little more than that if they were going to make a good sized snowman*

Having redirected Trilla's attention to affection from running around, she would be a little less noisy, though no less energetic. Still, there was the problem of getting Eecheb off his sleep-loving little-- "Hmm....." Than thought to himself for a moment; it seemed he may have to invoke one of Eecheb's key words. "Hnn.... Hoi, Eecheb, it's time to go get food. There's probably going to be lots to eat today." Than chuckled, trying to rouse Eecheb to consciousness.
Mastema's ears could hear Nana giggling loud and clear. Since it was one of the few times she'd genuinely laughed around him, he took his time in getting the snow off him. Nana's laughter wasn't something to just turn down. "Ha-ha..... very effective method, dear." He chuckled lightly, wiping the snow off of his face. His next effort was on removing himself from a pile of snow, which only took him a quarter of a minute.
Yuri had indeed intruded on these parts of the citadel. He had already met Mastema before, so it was a wonder why he would bother coming by again. Fortunately for Yuri, he would run into someone - that wasn't insane. On the road, between two buildings, a massive black 'shadow' would suddenly stretch from seemingly no where and block his path. The shadow resembled a simple, bat-like form, and two glaring white eyes were on the head, staring at Yuri.

Eecheb: =.= | Hnn......? Food...?
*Eat to live, or live to eat... either way the desired effect would occure. Eecheb's eyes sleepily crept open again, and he was still staring at the wall across from him. But the bed.... it was still warm and inviting... but so was food... Now if only he could eat while he slept, then he'd be happy. Groaning and grumbling, the boy would turn over so that his chest could absorb the heat that was let off by his side. He was much like a cat at the moment in that reguard*

*Nana's expression was indeed joyous, and her cheeks were flushed lightly to a healthy pink. It hadn't been too often that Nana had been able to enjoy herself outside with Mastema. Usually he had work to do and lots of it, so she savored the times likw these. If he could break away from his work a little more often, perhaps he and Nana could do more outside of the tower. Stroles like they used to, either alone or with the childen, playing with the children, having fun on their own like they were right now, working together on... something of importance. Ah, if only Nana could have a picture of that moment, something to savor indeed*

This was going to be harder than Thanatos had originally thought. He sighed, and tried to raise Eecheb's interest more. "Come on, buddy; you're two years old today. You get to have cake and other tasty foods after you have breakfast." He chuckled, his arm still holding onto Trilla. "Is there some other way to get him up?" The question was more directed at Trilla than anything else.
After removing himself from the snow, Mastema took a moment to look at the color that had come about Nana's face. The resemblance to Trilla shone through brilliantly. Moving all of the snow back into one pile, Mastema put his hands on his hips and looked to Nana, still not saying anything that would stop her from laughing. "Well, now that I am awake, shall we get started.

Trilla: 4laugh Trilla can jump on him!

*Though not as practical, Trilla's method would indeed no doubt get Eecheb up. Then again there was also a wild card that hadn't been considered yet, Micha. Who knew what his method might entail, but likely just as effective*

*Nana would continue chuckling away lightly as she slowly began to focus on the project at hand; snowmen. One for certain but if they were on a roll, why not make more than one? It may not be as epic as anything seen in a Calvin and Hobbes comic, but it would do*

Trilla would receive a smooch on her cheek for her response. "At least it's fast," Than commented. "Eecheb, we'll wait for you before we go. I don't want to leave any of you behind." It was their birthday, and Than wasn't going to be the one to split them up and forget anone on that day.
Mastema would go along with Nana, who probably knew more about this snowman building than he did. A few times when she was focused on making a certain part of the snowman, he would sneak up behind her and wrap his arms around her for a brief hug, before letting her go back to work.

*While Thanatos was talking to the boy, Micha took action on his own and started to pull on the covers. A few seconds later a 'thud' would be heard as Eecheb hit the floor, his response coming a moment later. Since he was half awake, he could still feel so the jolt woke him up fully. His good work done, Micha wandered back to the left side of the room, as if he'd done nothing at all. Trilla would blink while watching Micha in action, pondering over why she hadn't just done that, until she realized it was because she was confined and being held, so there wasn't much she could have done in that state*

*Nana was appriciative of Mastema's affection while building the snowman. Mastema would be able to see that it was really quite easy to do. Three balls of snow starting from a large base and getting slightly smaller on the second and third levels. Packing snow in the spaces between them, to hold them together. Getting sticks to place in the second snowball as arms, and getting other small debris to make a face and possibly buttons. It seemed a rather easy task after the snowman was finally made. With the task set before them completed, Nana stood back to take a look at the finished product*

It was lucky for Micha that Than was blind, otherwise he'd probably receive a light scolding, though that really depended on whether or not Eecheb was hurt. All Than heard was the thud and the resulting 'ow.' "anno.... Eecheb, are you all right?" Than inquired, not thinking anything serious could really have happened with Eecheb lying on a bed.
Mastema, of course, wasn't all that impressed with a snowman after designing things more complex, like the vanguard..... or even a simple projector. Still, as Nana was observing her finished work, Mastema stepped up in front of the thing and placed his finger on the torso piece. A few moves of the finger, and a simple heart shape with a pointed arrow going through it would be fairly easy to see.

*Micha had scooted off quickly enough not to be seen as the cause of Eecheb's plumetting to earth. Granted Trilla had seen him but there was no reason to say anything. Eecheb was awake now, that much was certain. Aside from a slight jolt he seemed fine*

*A warm smile would be seen if Mastema looked back. It may have been ditzy but little things like that only made Nana love Mastema all the more. Being able to casually have fun was a wonderful thing. A valentines day image engraved in snow, how delightful*

"Well....... as long as you're okay...... I guess," Than commented, seeing as Eecheb wasn't much worse for wear. Trilla being giddy wasn't any reason for Than to suspect 'foul play.' Maybe Micha had made Eecheb fall because he was more eager to get cake than he let on. "Though, I hope you don't plan to get back in bed now that you're 'up.' ^^;"
Mastema looked over his shoulder, and offered a brief chuckle. "Should the children be on their way now? Or should they spend the day normally for a little longer? I am not even sure they know what today is yet."

Yuri would blink as suddenly a wall of shadow would rise up before him, pausing as he regarded that which blocked his way. He would not the glowing white eyes as he stood there, observing the strange bat like creature for a moment longer. Curious... would be the thought which sprung to mind as he addressed the creature. "Excuse me, but might I ask why it is you impede my path. I have been absent for some time and wish merely to explore. I ensure you that my intentions are pure." Honestly, having been gone for so long Yuri had forgotten the rules of the citadel, though a reminder would probably correct the boy. As such he did his best to be polite towards the bat thing, though a strangely familiar pressure was beginning to grow behind his eyes...

*Well, they were all awake now but where to go from there? Breakfast ten floors down, and then out to the party location? But Thanatos didn't know where that was just yet, Nana hadn't contacted him. She would shortly however so the point was moot really, not that Than knew when Nana was going to call*

Hnn, I say let them have their normal fun for a bit yet, and leave the surprise for later on in the evening. I'll call Thanatos soon to let him know where we are. The children were with him when I last saw them earlier, so if they are still I don't want to spoil the surprise.
*So the children could eat breakfast, play around a bit and then have their party later on with family. It seemed to be a pretty good plan, and pending no one dropped by unannounced it would remain well off. Mastema as always was sure to keep things tightly under raps, even if it meant someone pointing a gun or other weapon at someone else to turn them away*

Than took the silence as a signal that it was time to go. "Well, all of that can wait for later. Let's go eat; I'm still hungry after last night." Kneeling down, Trilla would again be loose on the floor, for better or worse. Fenton would be nearby and could lead Than around. With Trilla set down, Than was the first to start marching to the door.
Mastema nodded; he figured he may as well leave the decision to her. "As you wish..... so what do we do in the meantime?" He was hoping he wouldn't be building snowmen all day.
"I'm sure they are, but even pure intention can be annoying in certain contexts," would be a response Yuri would get, though it didn't quite sound like it was coming from the shadow. From the bottom of this think, Slayer stepped out, his grey formal suit and pipe in check. Yuri would recognize him as the 'proctor' of the sparring matches from before. "You could call today a special day for m'lord, so I think he would prefer not to be bothered now. That, and this turf is informally the property belonging to Lady Nana." Slayer chuckled, sticking the end of his pipe in his mouth and blowing out some smoke. If Yuri watched for long enough even the smoke would eventually turn into small, bat shapes before it dissipated.

Yuri would blink as his eyes widened slightly, the tension behind his eyes fading as he regarded Slayer for the second time. "Ah, it is you! Pardon my intrusion then, as I have been away for some time. I had forgotten that this area was off limits. It is my mistake." He would stand there silently for a moment before asking curiously. "Special day?" He would tilt his head to one side as he asked this, not aware of anything in particular happening today, other than his return of course. But Mastema would have no reason to care for one such as Yuri. Then what....?

Hmm, well we might as well do one last check to make sure everything is ready.
*Everything probably was ready to go, so that shouldn't take long. What they would do after that was anyones guess*
