Seph raised her eyebrow "Now did I just hear an aww from you. It's not often your so keen to show off your softer side in public" she teased pulling him into a tight hug as she transformed "See now who would want a cute and vulnerable lady like me to have a harsh sentence if I put a few tears on and if not blackmail is always an option, I know thats saved Alpha from many a situation" she whispered.
Alpha nodded fetching a blanket for Hebal from the cupboard "There we go and hopefully it won't be too noisy when she wakes up" he muttered his hands glowing while he warmed the material up before placing it down on the sleeper "Nope was due to not enough qualified builders being about to build bridges I bet and toe people with boats had big business. So Gil are you nervous about meeting the parents? I know I sure was when I first met my inlaws" he recalled.

Hayate paused checking the signes above their head "Hang on a moment... we need to head up to deck 17 to board our flight so keep an eye out for any more sighs" he told them indicating for them to go left. "Though why would eles not want a casino, we like the odd gamble just as much as the next person and would all love to win a nice lumo of cash."
Felina rolled her eyes picturing a good portion of the younger male nobility going off to the casinos "I bet most of the gamblers there would be just as rich as the winners over time if they just saved their gil and the money could be spent elsewhere though so long as you don't get debt collectors chasing us about the streets it will be fine. And coming up with fake names is fun, we could give you a nice elven one" she added thinking through possible options.
Satoshi smiled back shuffling closer to Gil "Theres no reason why he needs to be, he cold say what he wants and dad probably wouldn't understand a word of it and the rest of the family is nice. Though my youngest brother doesn't get on with me and barely speaks to me. Which is fine I guess means that we dont have to bother with him so much"

Oassu nodded following Hayate's directions "Well...maybe it's just cause we humans tend to see you elves as more mystical and placid and therefore unlikely to have vices like Casino's in your city, plus a Casino in a forest just sounds out of place to me" he said shrugging "Though again I'm too short to pass for an elf" he chuckled
Gil shrugged "It's not really a big deal to me I've stayed with a family before, some places gave me lodgings and stuff in my travels, I imagine it'd be easier if I'm friendly with the family right?" he said "Though will be nervous the same way it is meeting any new people" he muttered.
Itaka chuckled "Well she's just that cute I guess, now no one could prosecute Hebal she's too adorable but little Violet has a naughty dirty side to her which I'm sure the jury would pick up on" he said kissing Seph "I'm surprised your still in your armour, I imagined you'd have removed them plates the second we got off the streets" he said.

Seph gasped "Hey I do not have a side like that, in public anyway. I could totally put up the cute act and be just like Hebal with a little bit of acting work" she protested reaching vehind and unclipping her armour "I guess I had just been busy thinking about other stuff and didn't think it mattered so much to you. Never mind here you go" she smirked handing it all over to Itaka once off.
Alpha nodded a little surprised Gil normally felt nervous meeting new people "Yeah I guess but I mean I'm surprised your not more nervous having her parents assessing whether or not your a good enough man to date and eventually marry their daughter. Though whats up with your brother did you argue" he wondered thinking it were odd they didn't talk much

Hayate nodded giving Oassu a pat on the head "Yep it is true that the casinos look out of place but thats the fault of the builders and not the gamblers. And that mystical thing is just a stereotype that people made up because once upon a time only the older elves were allowed to meet up with outsiders but that all changed long before I was born" he chuckled picturing the bright lights against the trees.
Felina giggled joining in with the patting "Your height is fine, your just a shorter than average elf size but not everyone can be as big tall and scary like my dad can be sometimes with his 7 foot ways" she assured him as she followed the sign.
Satoshi groaned twisting her body further around not wanting to look at what Seph and Itaka were up to "Yeah a couple of years ago we had an argument and he's held a grudge against me ever since but I would rather not go into that little family detail if you don't mind. Brings back not so great memories and it's probably for the best to leave him sulking" she answered dismissing the issue.

Oassu frowned somewhat unhappy from being patted on the head "Well passing as an elf in the underclasses isn't really necessary is it? After all you said there's Bangaa and Gria there so a human wouldn't be such an odd sight would it?" he asked "Though might be funny to pass as 400 odd years old" he said.
Gil stroked Satoshi's hair also looking away from Seph and Itaka "Well I suppose that's a bit more important but I'm sure it'll be fine, if it comes down to it their opinion doesn't really matter so long as Satoshi is happy" he said "Though I might need to do some work after the Dragon Festival so you might not be picking me up immediately after" he said.
Itaka chuckled taking Seph's armour and hugging Seph close "Well it matters a bit to me, surprised you got so comfortable wearing armour since you hate clothes" he said leaning down to kiss Seph's neck "Why don't we go to bed for the night?" he whispered.

Seph shrugged "Armour isn't that comfortable but I am more accepting of it than clothes because that actually has a practical use like not getting yourself killed. But I think you just came up with a good idea" she grinned getting up from the seat and pulling Itaka along with her "Well guys we'e off to bed so have some good fun at the festival and good luck with whatever job you end up doing afterwards Gil"
Alpha rolled his eyes "See ya you too and you better not make too much noise" he told them with a small snicker. "Sorry, didn't mean to make you uncomfrotable when I asked Satoshi. What sort of work you got in mind after the festival? Received any interesting contracts in some far exotic place with high rewards?"

Hayate laughed "Theres no way you could pass off the age of 400. You look way older than 16. But no theres not really much point pretending to be an elf unless you are really that worried people will work out your Felina's fiance though that I think would be a complete over reaction"
Felina smiled hugging Oassu "Now don't frown, it's not a good look for you. I just thought it might be a bit of a fun activity playing dress up Oassu and I bet if you were an elf you would look just as great" she grinned spotting a big number 17 across the building.
Satoshi sighed "Yeah see you two after the festival and have fun" she told them with a brief wave "Don't worry about it Alpha and I'm guessing you're wanting to earn extra money since you've not been doing any jobs lately because of tagging around with us right?" she added to Gil resting her head against one of his many arms.

Oassu frowned "I though Zadina was like 200 and only 12ish...eh I don't really understand your elven aging system though it doesn't really worry me, besides I can take care of myself against a couple of common thugs if it comes down to it" he said shrugging before returning Felina's hug.
Gil shrugged "A small country near Tricasia is having trouble with some corrupt and evil rulers, I'd go in and help the rebels liberate the country and stabilise it for a bit afterwards, would earn me a nice bit of pay from whoever takes over afterwards, I'm inclined to take them up on their offer" he said stroking Satoshi's arms wishing he wasn't wearing his armour at the moment.

Alpha scratched his chin "No matter what the country theres always a point in time where that happens if I've learned anything about wars in my time around here. Might take quite a while to work out though, those things are always more simple sounding on paper" he pointed out before letting out a loud yawn accompanied by a stretch. "So how much pay are you likely to get"

Hayate paused quickening the pace seeing that the airship was already boarding some of the many passengers "Well it varies a little depending on where the elves come from but the general rule of thumb if that twenty five years in elven age is the equivelent to aging in one human year" he explained.
Felina gasped only just taking in the size of the airship they were going to be flying in "wow now this ship is huge, many times bigger than ours" she muttered rubbing her ear. "But what were we saying... oh yes, sure you can handle yourself against a few thugs but better safe than sorry my dear"

Satoshi frowned a little "Sounds like a dangerous one, couldn't you have taken up a chocobo racing job or something?" she asked him only being half serious as she shivered against his cold armoured arm. "I guess it's kind of admirable if you do get involved as most mercenaries wouldn't stick around once the main fighting was over"

Gil chuckled "Well that does sound nice and easy but it doesn't really play to my talents, whereas I am good at killing people, will swoop in liberate the base, storm the castle kill the king and then stomp out whatever remaining forces they have, it's something I'm good at so you needn't worry" he said "But apart from having the gratitude of the new rulers I'll have a choice of any of their weapons which could add some nice treasures to my collection and a small fee of money" he explained to Alpha while he petted his dog who was drifting off on the floor.
Oassu snickered at Felina's reaction "Yeah the company-run airships need to be big for all the people they carry dear" he said lugging his bag towards the desk "Hopefully it won't be too noisy where we are, I'd like to scavenge some sleep tonight on this ship" he said.

Alpha glanced down only just taking notice of the pet "Thats some pretty confident planning you've got there though if it were me I would have asked for a big Gil reward or a nice strip of land with a big house to retire in" he smiled picturing the idea in his mind.

Hayate also snickered joining the back of the queue "Now the reason its so big is because half the people on here at least have a cabin to themselves and quite a roomy one I would guess too. But once boarded I recommend you get yourselves as much sleep as possible. We have seats booked together so if something is up or when we arrive I'll wake you guys up"
Felina blushed feeling a little silly now "Oh yeah I forgot that there were people going to be having a more luxurious journey for a moment but you should get some sleep too Hayate or Adohand will be mad at us for not looking after you properly. I could always put you in a sleep spell if you wanted to sleep through any noise we have on board"
Satoshi shrugged "He's a weapons collector and you just like anything shiny really so its no surprise that you would ask for different rewards but with all those diamonds Milly gave you a house would be no problem to buy" she pointed out playing with her hair "I would only be payed a fraction of the money received if they went and offered payment to my village to help out"
