She followed behind him, like a lost puppy even looked like one as well. THe clothing tattered, and dirty still but her skin was clean for once. Sitting in one of the chairs, once she made to one across from him. The knees going up to her chest, the arms going around them, as she planted her chin on the knee caps.

Raishing an eye brow to the young girl the waiter looked over at Lan "can I get you anything to drink sir?" Looking at the waiter Lan turned his head to Katie "glass of red wine if you have any." bowing his head the waiter looked at Katie "and for you miss?"

She flicked her eyes at the waiter "Some water" She said studdering lightly, as her soft voice carried the words for her order. Then, flicking them back to Lan, watching is actions, in case he moved closer. She was getting a little used to him, normally she was gone but, for some reason she was here sitting in an out-door resturant ordering water.

Nodding his head to her the waiter made his way inside getting the orders. Looking at her Lan lowered himself into the chair and begun to lean back as he made himself comfortable "Next thing to do is get you some new clothing." Turning his head towards the waiter as he brought out the drinks, the waiter began to look over at Lan as he lowered the drinks and the menus on the table and made his way back inside the diner giving them a minute to look at their menus "Anything you like?"

She took the cup of water, after she thanked the waiter. She may be weiry around people, but she still didn't forget her mianner's when she needed them. She was fond of her clothing, "I don't need any, they would get ruined later" She said shaking her head as she flipped the menu over to look at the delicious items. Her small stomach growled as she saw the delicious sandwaches, and sides. She spotted one item that she hasn't had, a grilled cheese sandwach and fries with cheese.

"But still we can't have you walking around with just worn out rags." Opening the menu Lan eyed at the different items as he spotted the waiter once again "what may I get you?" Looking at Katie the waiter gave a smile as he patiently waited for her order.

"Fries" She said, not wanting her eyes bigger then her stomach, she kept the same postion. she looked at lan, wondering why he would spend money on clothing taht would be dirty and torn later. What was wrong with the ones she had on now, the lower lip went back in her mouth as her mind worled with different thoughts.

Turning to Look at Lan the young man held his hand out as he shook his head "I'll stay with the wine for now." Nodding the waiter took up the menus and made his way back into the diner for the third time. Crossing his arms over his chest Lan eyed at her wondering what she was think as he lowered his hand to his glass.

She never said a word, as she watched him. The waiter came back with her order, and put down some ketchup as well. She wondered why he didn't eat, but never asked worried more on the outcome then the thought in her mind. she picked up one french fry, and slowly ate never detering her eyes from his body or movements.

Smiling at her Lan raised the glass up to his lips taking a sip as he watched her began to eat. Turning his head looking around for a place so he could get her new clothes Lan waved to the waiter. As the Waiter approached him Lan asked for the ticket as he continued to watch Katie.

Once she was finished, all of the food and water gone from the dishes. She did ask "Why are you buying me clothing?" A small tilt of her ehad as, the chin wnet back to her knee caps. She watched as the waiter took the dishes away, and to put down the ticket to be paid

"Surely you don't want to be wearing those everywhere you go now do you?" Looking at the ticket Lan reached into his coat pocket pulling out the amount of cash that was needed to pay for her meal. Raising him up from the chair Lan pointed towards a clothing store two buildings down from where they were "that seems like a perfect place." Nodding Lan made his way towards the building. walking inside Lan looked around at the different fabrics as he waited for Katie.

SHe wanted to ask why, but what good would that do. Not much, but she did get up and followed him like the same lost puppy that she is, deep inside. her arms wrapped around her body, not cold just worried and scared still. Never, has anyone been this nice, and for once she liked it, and didn't want him to think of her any different then others did. She took a tentive step in and for once stood at his side. There was from shirts to pants even shoes to dresses hanging all around them. Even undergarments, which when she spoted them made her blush and turn from them to look somewhere else, her back to him as she continued to look around.

Looking down at her smiling Lan held his hand to the two hounds telling them to wait outside knowing the rules that they did not allow dogs. "do you like?" turning his head towards the owner of the store as she made her way to them "May I help yall?" Nodding Lan looked down towards the little girl "yes I'm looking for something nice for her to wear." As the store owner looked down to the young girl she gave a smile "Well we can fix that, do you see anything you like sweetie?"

She looked around, and liked to stick with simple clothing. "Just a white shirt and jeans is fine" She said backing slowly a step from them both, her hands went to her tatered shirt twisting it in her small hands. SHe looked at the ground as she waited, the lower lips in her mouth as worries crossed her mind.
