I would do that....anyway look at it this way take the Locust Grenadeir
User Image
his facial structure strongly resembles a tyrannosaurus rex, he has holes for ears and rough scaly skin much like a reptile. now whos to say that a few prehistoric creatures didnt find natural shelter such as caves or crevices during a mass extinction. many could have found their way into the earth where it was still somewhat warm and as for food there are many creatures living under the crust of the earth even in real life scientists are finding vast airpockets when they drill into the earth even if we cant venture to such places

Lets see, reptiles are cold blooded, without the sun they wouldn't have had much of a chance underground, also they would lose the ability to see after a while, being quite useless in pitch black. And while there are air pockets, they would have probably used up the oxygen in it and suffocated on perhaps all the deadly gasses that are inside the earth, since vegetation wouldn't be down that far. To survive without food aside from themselves, algae, or small bugs is incredibly unlikely for large reptiles, especially since many lizards are carnivorous, prey large enough to satiate them would be hard pressed to live on algae and grubs. Plus for them to develop in such a way that they would stand upright in such away is so unlikely, especially if they need to burrow or crawl in tunnels. To stand up right would make it harder to navigate, especially blind. Then for them to resemble humans physically, well, one in trillion shot, and even less for them to develop as complex concepts and inventions as ours without the same materials or contact as us would be absolutely absurd. Why would they develop war if they had no one to compete with, how could they develop guns or armor?
As for Star Wars, well, they aren't in our galaxy, and it might be more likely for a greater number of life sustaining planets out in one galaxy that could develop life since the universe is infinite. And they might be able to develop superior technology under different circumstances, as they might have not went under great extinctions like we did so they could be far ahead of us.

I like my sig neutral .......

and I agree on many different levels, I strongly doubt there are creatures like the Locust under the Earth but I was refering to the fictional planet of "Sera" the setting of the Gears of War universe. now I say its unlikely that they themselves didnt have prehistoric Dinosaurs and lets say they never went extinct and evolved much like the way we did. it seems right after all since we came from primitive apes the Locust could have come from primitive reptiles

I'm washing my hands of this....

The likelihood of another planet having anything like our reptiles evolve on their planet is basically impossible, and then having them being under the exact same circumstances that we had for them to develop just like us, well, basically impossible. Then there is like the War of the Worlds problem, germs would probably kill them all off if they came here, and probably us if we went there. For them to have a world similar enough for theme to want our world, well, not numerically calcuable. Then there is the issue of them having the vastly superior technology, they'd need it to get here and survive the trip, if they can fold time space, then damn, they could just develop an uber death canon that only would affect humans. We wouldn't stand a chance with them firing down at us from orbit, we couldn't hit it, it'd need to move faster than light to get here anyways, it could easily dodge a nuke.

agreeded as well War of the Worlds was a little bit off, but i guess my main point is that the Locust are a pretty realistic force even if entirely fictional, now i understand that dinosuars like ours is impossible on other planets but life similar not in every fashion but similar can exist outside our borders, what Im trying to say is that "what if" reptiles had the chance to evolve like we did

Then, we probably wouldn't exist, they would have probably killed off most neanderthals, except maybe ones in mountains and cold wintery areas. So the highest primates would probably be seen as like yeti like creatures.
