"Aww man. I just got done with the crazy weather." Mag said as he held his hand above his head to protect it a litte more. The tree was quite handy in its ability to block raining balls of ice.
Linalee for her part didn't have much to shelter herself but she didn't mind the cold wind or raining balls of ice. Most of the large ones were centralized on their battle arena. "Come on Shiva! You can do it!" Linalee cheered as it came ever closer to crashing into the Krabby.

When the Hail started the small ghost pokemon on Dante's sholder shivered and decided that maybe it would be safer inside of Dante's warm looking jacket. That decided the ghost pokemon fazed himself through Dante's body, much to Dante's horror it wasn't a very pleasent feeling after all, and made himself home in the oversized fluffy black jacket. Shuddering Dante looked down to see the lump that signified his ghost pokemon and sighed. 'Great.' Turnign his attention back to the battle going on he grinned as he saw Shiva spin herself around for another attack, the ice ball she was incassed in was bigger then it was before.
Seeing the Sealo coming back bigger this time the Krabby paniced for a second his legs scampering around. Finally the crab managed to get a hold of it self and scooped up a bunch of mud in his claws and threw it at the on coming Shiva. The Mudshot splated agains't Shiva's ice armor, and while it didn't do any damage it caused her to miss the crab pokemon by just an inch.
Upon missing the power of the attack faded and Shiva's ice fell down. Growling and ready for more Shiva barked at the Krabby in front of her. It was putting up more of a fight then she thought it would. "Shiva lets wash it away with your Surf attack." Water at her back the Sealo grinned and used her power to summon up the tide behind her. Riding the large oncoming wave she gleefully had it smash down on top of the Krabby.
Dante with Kenny in his jacket hurriedly backed away not wanting to get wet. When the attack faded away though the resolute Krabby was still there. While looking a bit dizzy from the attack he held one of Shiva's flippers in a Vicegrip attack.

Train grinned, and her Ratata got into fighting position. "Alright, so, who's first?" She grinned, eager for her first official gym battle.
"Ta!" Ratata sensed how eager it's trainer was, and was starting to become eager itself.

Fishing though her bag, Mitsu pulled out a sheet that she had been saving to use for picnics or a blanket. Tearing it into even strips she tied up her wound carefully before standing up. Releasing Karri from her Pokeball Mitsu was able to make it safely down the side of the cliff. "Hurt yourself again? How dumb can you be?" Karri asked with a roll of her eyes.
"Hey, hey! How about a battle?" a voice called out. It seemed that every trainer she had met was always first a mysterious voice. "I get a date if I win, 'kay?" he asked with a fake voice and an equally fake wink.
"Sure," she said with a sly grin, "but if I win you owe me lunch."
"Isn't it a bit early for lunch?" he laughed.
Mitsu gave a slight shrug. "Doesn't matter. I'm hungry."
"Two on two double battle sound good to you?"
"Of course."
The boy released an Umbreon and a Breloom whom immediatly took battle stances. Mitsu looked over at the boy, he was wearing a pair of stylish jeans and a nice shirt with a black jacket over it. "The name's Mitsu!" she called out reaching for Nightmare's Pokeball before remembering that she had left him in Touya's care. "Zyphyr! Ivy! C'mon on out!"
"Edward's the name. You can call me Ed if you like. A pleasure to meet you."
"Likewise," Mitsu said before launching into a command. "Zyphyr attack with your Aerial Ace!" she shouted pointing at the Breloom. "Ivy, cover him!" Zyphyr flew low to the ground, ready for an assult upon the Breloom. Although the attack never missed the Umbreon didn't hesitate from using a Shadow Ball in Zyphyr's direction. Taking Mitsu's cue, Ivy hoped forwards, shielding the Pidgeotto with a Protect. "Nice teamwork!" Mitsu commeneted.

"One attacks, and one protects, eh? Clever, but no where near enough!" Ed called out to Mitsu. Breloom took the Aerial Ace head on sustaining quite a bit of damage, but he was better than that. Quickly launching a Mach Punch in retaliation. "Umbreon! Mean Look! Breloom Brick Break!"
"We have more than one trick up our sleeves Ed!" Mitsu called back before issuing another handful of commands. "Zyphyr get back! Ivy Use Take Down!"
The sleek Umbreon casted a terrible looking glare Ivy's way, causing him to freeze up for a second as Breloom charged in, his fist pulled back. Follow orders Zyphyr flew between the two Grass Pokemon. Once the wings and feathers were gone, Ivy launched himself into a full out run, aiming all his weight onto his opponent. Too close to stop from colliding now, the two Pokemon each took a hit taking some damage, but not too much from either side.
"Zyphyr! Another Aerial Ace! Ivy use your Leech Seed on the Umbreon!" Mitsu shouted wasting no time in sending out the next set of instructions. "Breloom, take it, Umbreon watch out," Edward stated calmly, a smirk playing upon his lips.
Flying low to the ground once more Zyphyr began his unaviodable attack. Skyrocketing up he slashed Breloom with his wing once again taking advantage of his duel weakness. "Now Breloom! Counter!" Ed called out. With a well timed shot, Breloom landed a fist into Zyphyr's chest causing twice the amount of damage that he had taken. Mitsu winced a bit at the clever plan. She'd have to wath out for that in the future.
On the other side of the battlefield Ivy launched several dozens of seeds upon the field, each missing it's target. The sleek, ebony Umbreon proved to be as agile and fast as the other Eevee evolutions that she had faced before. You may have the speed, but we have the strength Mitsu thought watching the Ivysaur and Umbreon fight.

"Whirlwind Zyphyr! Ivy Toxic!" Mitsu called out after a short moment of thought. Zyphyr, whom was flying above, sent a gust of wind down picking up the seeds and purple haze with it. The small tornado traveled towards the Umbreon who skillfully dodged to the left with one graceful jump. He smirked at Mitsu's team. "Left!" Mitsu shouted. With one flap of his wings the Pidgeotto sent the mini-tornado-of-death at Umbreon who took a mouthful of the foul stuff. Once the seeds made contact they sprung into tiny vines with sharp annoying thorns and began to rob the Umbreon of his precious stamina while the Toxic coursed though his body causing a slow and painful demise.
Occupied with the Umbreon Ivy had failed to notice that Breloom has read his mind, preparing his next move with deadly accuracy. Once Mind Reader was complete Ed issued a Hyper Beam. Unable to avoid the attack Ivy took Breloom's Hyper Beam. The golden ray left a stinging sensation and the pain lingered afterwards. The Ivysaur was only able to stay in the battle due to the small amounts of stamina that he had taken from Umbreon. "While he's down Aerial Ace!" Mitsu called out, first taking advantage at Breloom's moment of weakness. With a sift motion Zyphyr cut another gash on the Breloom's cap with his Aerial Ace. "Now Ivy! Giga Drain Umbreon!"
Gladly taking more health Ivy released his two vines at the weakened Umbreon. The tangled vines that Leech Seed provided allowed for restricted movements and a failed attempt at escaping Ivy's Giga Drain. Umbreon, however, was nowhere near down for the count yet as he launched into a Faint Attack aimed for Ivy. He dashed forwards before disappearing into thin air like a magician's magic trick before reappearing behind Ivy and slamming his body into the Grass/Poison Pokemon. "Nice work Umbreonm!" Ed shouted seeing his Pokemon make his own retaliation. Still having more health than after Hyper Beam Ivy stood up, his legs a bit unstable. Ivy needs a chance to recover Mitsu thought taking the situation in at hand. It didn't look like she held the advantage at the moment with that Breloom there. It had already taken three Aerial Aces yet it still looked ready to go. "It reminds me of Portabello," Mitsu murmured.

Kilik sliced the air with his arm. "Let's show him just how we do it!" he barked, "Ludicolo! Smooth Moves Style!" He smirked. This'll show me exactly what Ludicolo's going to do. Ludicolo waved his arms, did a turn in the sand and pressed his arms forward. He began to pop his shoulders up and down, switching from left to right with each pop. "Ludi Ludi Ludicolo!" he taunted, and a barrage of clear, green orbs burst from the pineapple shape in the center of his hat.
"Whoa! He totally did a Giga Drain!" David guffawed, "Poliwhirl, you gotta, like, get outta the way!" The Tadpole Pokemon made a dash away, but most of the orbs were too close and connected with his back. Poliwhirl let out a light gasp and fell to his knees. All the damage that he took, the Water-type could see as a dark green gas inside the spheres. The Giga Drain's health restoring spheres returned to Ludicolo's pineapple. He felt a rush of energy and all the damage he had sustained while sparring with Kilik's Pokemon (however little it was) was restored. He clapped his hands together a few times; Ludicolo was very happy.
"Poliwhirl! Use your awesome Double Slap!" 'Swinger' called out, pointing at Ludicolo. The blue Pokemon clapped his hands and ran over, pulling his arm back for a backhanded slap.

"Sounds good to me," Keegan nodded, slipping the TM into his backpack for later. He'd heard about the National Park before as well, although the thought of crawling through grass in search of Bug Pokemon wasn't exactly his idea of a good time. But then again, perhaps there would be some lower-level wild Pokemon he could battle with in order to start training with Mori. Deciding to take the lead for once, Keegan gently pulled Kasiya by the hand, leading her forward. "Shall we continue?" he asked, smiling and giving a somewhat mock bow.

Kasiya laughed a bit, and played along. "All right then, kind sir," she giggled, doing a cute little curtsey in return. She allowed Keegan to lead her, and shortly they found themselves at the National Park's gatehouse. "What is with the world and having gates for everything?" she mused, looking around as they stepped inside.
There were posters adorning the walls, advertising for the various activities that were held at the park. Most prominently featured, however, was the Bug-Catching Contest, which Kasiya discovered to be held Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Her heart sank a little; she'd actually almost wanted to participate. Further investigations of the posters on the walls lead her to a list of previous contenders. Curious, Kasiya meandered over to it, and had a look at the past winners. After glancing swiftly through the names, she paused, her finger resting on one. "Look here," she said excitedly. "It says here that Kilik Ranmo won first place a while back when he captured an oddly-coloured Scyther! How cool is that?"
Her attention span, or lack thereof, soon caught up with her again, and with a little cry of excitement, she darted through the opposite doors, catching a glimpse of the PC tucked away in one of the corners.

Keegan shrugged, not really all that interested in anything the park had to offer other than the promise of trainers itching to do battle. Haphazardly he glanced around the room, also studying the computer in the corner for a moment before he sighed, and decided to give chase once again. She's still the same, he thought, grinning slightly. Hyperactive, and has the attention span of a Skitty.
He stepped through the doors, already taken aback by the scenery spread out before him. High and elaborate chain-linked fences served as a barrier, and the cobblestone path laid out before them was too inviting to pass up. Upon traversing further down the path, a social area was set up, with benches and picnic tables, and many people were sitting around them, their Pokemon among them, chatting amiably.
"Nice," Keegan commented, stopping and placing his hands on his hips. Further north, he could see what looked like a path that would take them into a grassy area, presumably where the Bug-Catching contests were held. Deciding that he didn't really want to wait, he headed towards it, the anticipation of battle drawing him like a Dustox to a flame.

"Ooh," Kasiya murmured, glancing around. The park was more lovely than any book or pamphlet had ever described it to be. "I'm sure there will be many people who'll want a piece of us," she nodded, noting that Keegan had gone off ahead again. She studied the multitude of people sitting on the benches, but decided against walking up to them and flat-out issuing a challenge. "Wait for me!" she yelled, watching Keegan start to head down another path, taking them away from the mass of people.
Pidgey were chirping overhead, groups of them scattered about, searching the ground for anything that could pass for food. The next area of the park was enormous, and in the center, Kasiya could see a large, gorgeous fountain. "I love it here!" she exclaimed, doing a twirl on the spot. She could see a few trainers out in the field, practicing with their Pokemon. She moved forward, heading towards the fountain. She could see a few Water-type Pokemon swimming around in it already, namely about a half-dozen Goldeen (which she assumed lived there), as well as a Staryu, a pair of Marill, a Chinchou and also a few Wooper and a Quagsire. She reached for the first Pokeball on her belt, and let out her ever-faithful Vaporeon. Ariel materialized on the edge of the fountain, blinking her diamond-like eyes and looking around. She eyed the fountain almost distastefully, but soon jumped in, pretending like she wasn't bored of the confined swimming area.

Poliwhirl's hand was caught in the grasp of Ludicolo's slimey grip. He couldn't get away. He struggled, but the grip on his wrist was too tight. The Carefree Pokemon spun Poliwhirl around, then took his other hand onto his opponent's back, dipping him in a very sophisticated tango. "Now that you have him, Ludicolo!" Kilik laughed, "Switch Styles again! Go from Tango to Hard Rock!" The boy slipped his hands into his pockets, looking over at David. "You can quit anytime, Swinger."
Ludicolo did as he was told and swung Poliwhirl away. As he spotted his opponent falling to the ground, he held his left arm as if holding the neck of a guitar. He strummed a few invisible chords and blasted Poliwhirl with Nature Power - It turned into Swift! Flurries of stars flew towards the tadpole in an inavoidable barrage. "This is totally not gnarly!" David groaned. Stars showered Poliwhirl as he connected with the sand with a crash. He winced and raised an eyebrow at his partner. "You aight, little dude?" he asked. Poliwhirl stood up slowly and turned around to face Ludicolo, clenching his fists. "Aight, dude! Use Body Slam!" Poliwhirl ran forward and jumped up into the air, aiming to land directly on Ludicolo.
Rena sat back on one of the large rocks, one leg crossed over the other. The battle was very interesting, since she had no idea what Ludicolo was going to do next. It was as if she was just watching instinct against strategy. She smiled, bending her arms and resting on her elbows, tapping the heel of her boot against the rock.

"Let's get this started with a Defense Curl, then Tackle!" Brock shouted to his Geodude. It obeyed holding its hands in an x shaped pattern over its head/body. After a moment a light sheen appeared across Geodudes body showing that his defenses were raised. Then he went in for the Tackle aiming at the Rattata before him.

Feeling the pinser dig into her flipper Shiva gave a bit of a cry and started rolling around trying to get the crab off of her. The Krabby though seemed to be holding dspite being tossed around. "Shiva try to do a Body Slam on it!" Dante called out. It did look rather painful to have the crab pokemon pinching her so tight. Liking the sound of that Shiva lifted her bulk up and putting the Krabby under her she smashed it down onto the ground. While sitting on the crab pokemon she felt the claw release her flipper which she quickly brought back to her side. Happy now she barked happily at her trainer still sitting on the other pokemon. Suddenly she felt something strange under her, almost like the Krabby she had smooshed was getting bigger.
And indeed it was, a bright light appeared under the Sealeo and suddenly the large seal was lifted up off of the ground. Blinking Shiva looked down to see that that she was being held up by the large newly evolved Kingler. The crab Pokemon didn't seem to like the fact that Shiva had crushed him and using his large claw he tossed her off to the side.
Landing with a hard smack Shiva managed to recover shaking her head and glaring at the newly evolved pokemon. Not even waiting for Dante to issue a comand Shiva curled up into a ball and smashed herself down again in order to create the powerful Earthquake attack. Now as much as Dante liked this attack he didn't like using it near water simply because of the fact that it caused large waves to come up. That is exactly what happened to, once the powerful attack hit the Kingler it kept going until it reached the edge of the water. Wincing Dante watched a large wave appear and smash down on top of the Kingler and even sweeping towards Shiva. ((I know they dont evolve at 25 but I felt like making it evolve.))

"Whoa, it evolved!" Linalee said surprised at the sudden change in events. But this new development didn't really have much bearing to the inevitable outcome. Esecially after that massive tsunami causing earthquake.
Mag grinned at the attack. He couldn't wait till he could get a TM and teach it to some pokemon. None of his could learn that move as far as he remembered. Too bad.
