Hedoro
Hedoro looked around a second time, and again she didn't see anyone. Feeling satisfied with what she saw, or rather what she didn't see, she undressed and went to join Tamao in the water. she had to admit, it felt kind of nice not to be constrained by all those layers of clothing, the air against her skin felt brisk and refreshing. Just slightly chill, combined with the warmth of the spring itself. Greeting Tamao, she scrubbed up a little before rinsing off and slipping into the water. They enjoyed a quiet bath, talking a little but mostly just enjoying the quiet and warmth. Finally, it was time to get out, before the heat became too much to deal with for Tamao. Crawling out of the tub, Hedoro wrapped a trio of towels around herself, mimicking her makeshift costume from the last time she'd been here. Now that she thought of it, her first outfit should really be done being washed by now. But it didn't really matter, she had kind of gotten used to the new one. Drying off a little, she waited for Tamao to do the same before they'd head back to their room for the night.

Tamao
Tamao chatted a little with Hedoro after she'd come in, but spent most of her time just laying back in the water, watching the sky gradually grow darker and darker. Finally, she felt it was about time to get out of the water. She could stay in alm ost indefinitely, but she wanted to get to bed early for the exam tomorrow. In just a handful of hours they'd be doing their best to become real ninjas. The more sleep they got, the better. At least she hoped so. So she crawled out of the water and dried off a little before wrapping a towel around herself. Hedoro had already done so, so she grabbed their clothes and pulled on some slippers. She was ready to go, so the two of them went back to their room. They arrived only a short moment later, still feeling relaxed from the bath. Opening the door, she set their clothes down on the desk, and slipped out of her towel and into her pajamas. There wasn't anything else she felt that she needed to do, so she was allr eady to go to bed. It looked like Hedoro was as well, so without another word, she turned the lights out, and crawled into bed. Just before she fell asleep, she rolled over in bed and glanced over towards where Hedoro should be. Quietly, hopefully not loud enough to wake her up if she was asleep, she wished her good luck for the exams, and slipped off to sleep.

Hedoro
Morning rolled around, and Hedoro awoke. Getting out of bed, she got dressed as she realized the big day was here. Today was the day of the final exam. If she passed, she would become a ninja, and then she'd be able to travel from village to village, learning new and powerful techniques to make herself even stronger. Then, she could return to what had been her home. She wasn't quite sure what she'd do when she got there, but she knew that she'd have to settle things sooner or later. Checking the time, she had woken up about the time she wanted. The exam didn't start for another two hours, so she had plenty of time to do any last-minute things that needed doing. Something to eat, straightening up her clothes, and a final look over some of her notes and scrolls, then she'd be ready. She wasn't sure what the exam would entail, but she knew it'd be tough. Moving to the desk, she flipped through some of the papers as she waited for Tamao to wake up. They'd stuck together this long, and things had worked out good. No reason to change that now.

Tamao
Waking up, Tamao sat bolt upright. She was alert almost instantly, excited over the upcoming exam. She was a little worried that she was late, but when she looked at the clock, she was relieved to see she was still going okay. Getting out of bed, she washed up, and brushed her teeth and combed her hair. Changing out of her pajamas, she changed into her day clothes and saw Hedoro sitting at the desk. Saying good morning to her, she checked how early they should be going. Didn't want to risk being late. They still had plenty of time, so she asked if it'd be alright to get something for breakfast. Hedoro didn't have a problem with it, so they left their room and made their way to the cafeteria. Breakfast didn't take long, they were done before they knew it. There was still time before the exams began, but they headed to the classroom anyways, not having anything else to do. When they arrived, they saw they weren't the only ones who had thought that, maybe a third of the students were already there. Taking their seats, they waited for either class to start, or all of the students to arrive, in case they could begin early.

Hedoro
Over the next hour, the rest of the students meandered their way into the classroom. The last one barely made it in time before the exam was set to begin. And tardiness wasn't allowed, today of all days. If anyone had been late, well they would have had to attend a whole other semester and take the next exam. Luckily noone decided to risk that, everyone had made it in time. Closing the door, the instructor walked to the center of the front of the class. Brandishing a sheaf of papers, he began the verbal instructions for the first stage of the exam. The written portion consisted of three hundred questions, all of which must be answered fully. Pencils had been provided, and he passed the exams out face-down, so nobody could look at them early. Checking the time, he told the students not to flip the tests over until he said so, anyone doing so early would be flunked. This was enough to scare all the students, so they did as he told them. As a last instruction, he told them to read the whole thing fully before writing anything down. With that being said, he waited the last seven seconds until the beginning of the hour. As the clock chimed softly, he let the students begin.

Tamao
Tamao listened to the instructions carefully, and waited patiently for permission to begin. The test looked rather large, several sheets of paper stapled together. With as many questions as he had said, it would be very difficult to get it done, especially with him making them wait a little before beginning. Once permission was given, the sound of rustling papers filled the classroom as everyone began looking their tests over. Tamao straightened her test up, and began reading. It was all in easy-to-read lettering, nice and sharp against the clean paper. But as easy as it was to read, it was kind of difficult to understand. She had to re-read it three times, just to be sure she hadn't misread it. The first sentence hardly seemed to belong at all. It said this test was a decoy, the real test was in the stack of papers on the instructor's desk. She had to take one of the tests without being caught, as a test of her physical skill. She looked up at the instructor's desk, and sure enough, there was a small stack of papers on it. Gauging the distance, she wasn't sure she could do it. Stumped, she read on.

Hedoro
Hedoro flipped her test over, and began reading it. She was ready for any sort of questions that might be on it, but even so, what she read was just confusing. The first question was really different, it wasn't even a question at all. It was a statement, some odd piece of trivia that made no sense. What did it matter that a Mist Ninja ate ramen for breakfast? Confused, she had no choice but to read on. The test only continued to list pointless trivia, and she began to grow frustrated. Luckily, the second page seemed at least a little bit more normal. No more pointless trivia, instead this page seemed to be full of pointless commands. The third one, in particular, was interesting. It told her to set fire to the test. Even more confused, she read on, wondering what in the world she had gotten herself into. The last sentence on the page made her hesitate, though. It told her not to read anything on the third page, to proceed directly to the fourth page. Puzzled, she wasn't sure what to do, but finally gave in, and skipped ahead a page. Hopefully things would begin making sense soon, or she wouldn't be able to take it.

Tamao
Tamao looked up at the desk again, wondering if she could really do it. Maybe if she used a Substitution, she could move fast enough? No, the puff of smoke would give her away. A clone? No, it made a puff of smoke too, and what would be the point if she still had to go up to the desk. How about Henge no Jutsu? It was possible, but what could she turn into to pull it off? Puzzled, she glanced back at her test and read the rest of the first page. It just said the same sentence, over and over. Frustrated, she flipped to the next page, and saw it was totally blank. What in the world? Had she gotten a messed-up test? Why would they include a blank page? She looked at it's opposite side, but it was blank too. So were both sides of the third and fourth sheets. Sighing, she looked up at the desk again, wondering how in the world she was going to pull this off. If she tried turning into another student, there'd be two of that student, it'd be too easy for the teacher to notice that. But if she went with a different student, then she would be in the wrong classroom. That was even worse. And she didn't know that many older ninjas, either, aside from Za-chan, the instructor.

Hedoro
Going to the fourth page, Hedoro hoped something that actually made sense would be on it. Technically yes, but the questions were so easy it was downright suspicious. The transformation technique, Henge no Jutsu, does what? If two ninja each have three kunai, how many do they have together? The questions were so simplistic that she thought it was making fun of her. Reading on, they didn't get any smarter, they stayed at such a low level of intelligence it was almost hard to believe. She tried thinking if there could be any reason for this, and came up with only one. Maybe this page was so easy, to make the next page seem even harder, to make her mess up? Now that she knew that, she wouldn't fall for it. They'd have to do better than that if they wanted to make her fail! She read through the rest of the page, then turned to the next. But once she did, dhe stopped short. It was the last page of the test, and it had only a small bit of writing on it. It told her to go back and read the third page, then fill out the entire test, in pencil, writing everything backwards. She tilted her head to the side in confusion, but did as it said.

Tamao
Tamao tapped her chin as she thought, wondering how in the world she could possibly pull this off. Several plans popped into her head, but she found a flaw in each and every one, and had to discard them. Slumping in her seat, she realized how ill-prepared she had been for the test. Of course it'd be more than a written exam to be a ninja, physical skills were needed too. But even so, this was a bit much, wasn't it? Glancing around carefully, she noticed none of the other students had gotten up to try to take the real test yet. That just proved how difficult it was. Mumbling a little, she decided to just finish reading the test, maybe she'd be given a clue to how to pull off this feat that seemed quite beyond her. Going back to the blank fourth page, she proceeded to the fifth. There was only one more page after that, she was beginning to wonder if any part of this test would be normal. The fifth page was blank as well, about what she expected. Checking it's opposite side, it was blank as well. Looking back over the first few pages, she wondered if she might have missed something, but it didn't appear so. That left just the sixth and final page.

Hedoro
Hedoro hesitated before reading the third page, sure it would be something odd, at least as odd as the rest of the exam. Sure enough, when she began reading, she found out she was right. There were only a few bits of writing on the page, and what they said didn't make sense when considering the rest of the exam. The first said to not write anything on the exam. The second said to hand it in immediately to the teacher. The third said to take a sheet of paper from the instructor's desk, it would contain her next set of instructions. Shaking her head at the sheer absurdity of her test, she did as she was told. Getting to her feet, she went to the front of the classroom and handed her unmarked exam to the instructor before taking a sheet from the pile and returning to her desk. Sitting down again, she took a moment to calm herself before continuing. Looking around carefully, she noticed a few other students just finally starting to get up. Not all of them did the same thing, however. Some of them walked right out of the room, others switched desks. Still others did things basically the same as she had, taking a sheet of paper from the instructor's desk.

Tamao
Tamao gulped nervously, and looked at the sixth and final page. She could hear most of the other students getting up and moving around. If she was going to act, now was the time! But no, she should finish reading the test first, for whatever good that would do. It would probably be blank like the others, but she still should. Looking, she was vastly relieved to see text. Reading it over, she was even more relieved when it actually seemed somewhat normal. It told her to disregard the earlier instructions, flip to the opposite side of the page, and write a five hundred word essay on chakra and chakra manipulation. After that, she was to sign her name under the essay and hand it in to the instructor. Once finished, she was to wait quietly until further instructions had been given. She got right to work, flipping the test over and beginning to write. She was already throwing a few ideas around, she felt confident she could write this in no time. And she did. Once she finished, she put her name under it and went to the instructor to hand it in. She was tempted to take one of the sheets of paper but didn't, since she'd been told not to. All that was left now, was waiting.

Hedoro
Hedoro flipped the sheet of paper over and read through it. Thank goodness, a normal test! There were ten questions, and they all seemed somewhat difficult. Nothing ridiculously difficult, but nothing so easy it seemed suspicious. She got to work, filling in the answers as best she could. It took some time, and some hard thought, but she managed to answer all ten questions. Feeling satisfied, now that she'd been given a proper test, she read what was written at the bottom of the page. She was to turn her test in to the instructor and wait for everyone to finish. She did so, after going over her answers one last time. Everything looked alright, so she took it up to the desk and handed it in, then headed back to her desk. Sitting down, she looked around. It appeared most of the students had finished, including Tamao. She turned to face her and gave her a thumbs up, showing she felt confident in how she'd done. She hoped Tamao had done good too, these tests were weird enough that she couldn't be sure, though. She had faith that Tamao would give it her best shot, and that should really be enough. Now that she thought about it, the test wasn't as difficult as she had thought it was. More annoying than anything.

Tamao
Now that they had finished with their test, the time seemed to fly by. As the other students finished, one by one, Tamao kept an eye on what they did. Overall, there seemed to be three different results. A third of the students left the room after a while. A third took their test to the desk and returned with another sheet, which they wrote on before handing in as well, like Hedoro had done. And the final third, the ones who had just taken the single test to the desk and returned empty-handed, like she had done. She didn't know what it meant, but assumed there had been a reason. Finally, the last student finished their test, so the instructor got to his feet and walked around the class while he talked. He said their results would be posted that evening, but first there was one more step of the exam. He told all of the students present to meet at the second training field in one hour. They could get lunch if they wished, first, but they could not be late. Tamao leaned back in her chair and stretched. The first step of the exam was done. She didn't know how she had done, she wouldn't know until later that night. Best she could do now would be to keep going, do her best for the next step.

Dave walked into the academy room to find ateacher to help him train so Dave sat down and waited for someone to come in. Iruka walked into the room. "Are you the one who is going to train me?"Dave asked looking up from the desk he was sitting at. Iruka looked at Dave "yes i'm here to train you so you can become a ninja. Follow me and we'll begin your training" Iruka said then gestured with his hand to the door and they left the room. "Lets begin, what do you want to learn, usually a person with a puppet wants to learn Art of substitution and tree climbing, so lets begin with those" "K, i'm ready for the training" Dave said then began to practice the art of substitution with Iruka (1:4)
