Sometimes I go to art freebies and draw people. Occasionally, I'll vector someone because I'm bored. Unforunately, I don't have Photoshop, but I still like Paint Shop Pro. =]
I'm currently Paint shop pro-ing this picture:

Chibi's t3h sucky freshman artist, but at least it was free, right? xD;;
I think the appreciation you get for when someone draws you is worth how many hours you spend on it. And that feeling is sometimes better than getting paid for it. x3

I had a shop, but I didn't like the pressure of getting it done so fast and all because I'm so slow. u__u
