I've smacked myself in the face with my mouthpiece before. And tenors don't hurt nearly as much as baris do. BARIS RULE!

Ah, you know the screw on the ligrature {sp}?
I hit that right below my ear, the hollow part where your jaw connects, yeah, that hurts.
And my tenor's case has also fallen on my foot.
I couldn't get my shoe on without hurting myself for a while...

I've been playing alto saxophone since june of last yaer. it's fun. i want to play bari for jazz next year, since the one in my jazz band decided to leave us for guitar. not that i have anything against guitar. my friend also wants to play bari. if she does, though, we'll only have one or two jazz altos. i think tenor has an interesting sound. our sax section is pretty small...
i'm excited, we're doing jazz fest in april.

I was playing my tenor and someone walks forward from behind me.. they also kick my sax a bit..so the mouthpiece goes forward and either wrecks my reed or cuts my tongue.

Has anyone ever had this happen to you?

Oh and I also hate it when you're playing and some person who doesn't play a sax comes up and lifts up the octave key. That pisses me off so much I wanna punch them right in the face.
