rofl sorry but I just found out what my schedule for music next year is::thought of it:: I'm so happy about it so I'm posting about it constantly O_O
omg! next year is gonna be SOOO fun for me whee whee
-all state
-all southern
-a bunch of band competitions
-band trip..to either new york to perform at carnegie again, or London for the harrowgate festival or China :]
-CYSO competition [california youth orchestra competition eek ]
-DBHS audition!!!
-NAU CAMP WITH NICOLIOLIOLI!!!!!!!! 4laugh 4laugh
-and if possible NSLC arts :]!!! (my sis who was in NSLC for law says she'll suggest me!! heart ]

A I don't suck!!! Its gonna be so fun if kimberly gets in [she better DX ] ahahaah :] and I think my teacher is gonna be doing sectionals for all southern too! we can make fun of him hee! (well i know this because last year he did...overheard mr. a asking him to come to the school on sat rofl )
and I gotta get that solo too in sanctuary whee whee the competitions will be fun!!!
It would be wonderful to play a solo at carnegie...I didn't get to...because I suck! the CYSO is a SCARY competition, VERY scary, all the people who won are SEVENTEEN YEAR OLDS who are PIANO AND VIOLIN PRODIGIES who started when they were FOUR YEARS OLD eek eek eek but its one of the most important for me, because I'd be able to perform as a featured soloist in the next two seasons!!! whee whee I might get discovered somehow...>wthe best [or one of the best] youth musician in cali eek O_O then more competitions!!
DBHS audition, I'm hoping to get into the wind symphony, my teacher believes i will sweatdrop yess! I shall beat the ever so squishy guy jin! AHAHA! i shall say, "there there...your back at second chair again :[ only got the glory for one year..." though I don't think I'll get first chair rofl I know the second chair clarinetist through my sis...^_^
then the fun NAUmusic camp...IN ARIZONA...KEWL! with nicole and hopefully my 1337 mallet friend margaret
and then maybe this NSLC arts thing...if my sis suggests me then i'll be able to go new york again!!! heart

Miyoko Clarinetti XxxalabixxX- rofl ahh...yes theres a bunch of flutist here too... gonk flaming ninja- blaugh aweeee thank you!!!!!! There are friendly and help--::turns and see's kimberly telling calvin he sucks:: umm f-friendly and helpful people here ^0^... ... when I think about it brandon is conceited, calvin is so conceited he plays loud and says he can beat me when he can't rolleyes (seriously....) daniel plays too blindly to realize he can't play...they don't take help or help anyone rolleyes when they do they don't make sense. Anyways...Kimberly can get conceited about her clarinet skills...which pawn mines big time...Nikki is a weird guy who plays like brandon sim but isn't conceited. Ann is just like whatever about stuff sweatdrop ...er so in conclusion everyone either thinks they are good and just tell other people they suck gonk or they ignore them etc etc... sweatdrop ...but its a rather interesting clarinet section sweatdrop I was surprised when Brandon ditched his section leader duties--as geeky looking and smart as he is, I didn't suspect he would---no one expected him to do that...but it left me as section leader oh the joy! heart stare eh...sorta ranted sweatdrop sorry! Ah, yes. So many flutes Oh, by the way, does anyone want to join my friend list. I just transferred to my mule after my first account got hacked so I don't have many.

XxxalabixxX, you like Elfen Lied, right? Have you ever played Lilium on your clarinet?
It sounds better on flute. I suspect that it's one of those diluted melodies I heard about.
It's a melody that's supposedly so strong, it emotes more the more quietly it's played. The louder it is, the weaker it sounds.

Elfen Lied is quite possibly one of the bloodiest anime I've ever seen, in addition to having some of the most random nudity ever.
There's all kinds of horrible stuff going on, including murder and rape.

Anyway, it does have a gorgeous openning song.

Miyoko Clarinetti Flaming_Ninja_Dragon Well, not really...but I'm trying to learn. I'm trying to sew together a purse, but it's hard hand-sewing something that big. (its 12" by 12" on the front and back, but I'm thinking of downsizing it to 9 or 10 inches on both sides.) It's pretty cool to imagine how to put it together in my head. I want to try origami next. Oooh! I must see a pic when you're done!! whee You might be waiting a pretty long time. I want to get a cheap sewing machine that works well with easy instructions, or I want to rent one so I don't have to do all that work. I can tell you what it's going to look like, though. it's going to be a reversible purse with a grayish-brown camoflage print on the outside with a fringe on the bottom, and the lining on the inside is going to be dark bluish purple that makes me think of dark ocean water.(I was going to have the outside be a nice darkish-brown, but they didn't have any strong material of that color.) it's going to close by a largish button that matches the camoflage and it's going to have 4 or 5 pockets that also close with buttons. The strap of the purse will also change to match the outside of the purse. You will not be able to see most of the stitches. It's probably going to have some kind of videogame/ band thing on both the inside and the outside. I'm thinking of having a flame on the camoflage part, but I'm not sure yet. Holy crap! You're doing tons of band related things!

I started playing clarinet this year because I wanted to play sax for jazz next year and I do. But I still have to play clarinet in band. But that's okay because clarinet rocks!!!

I play the Clarinet in my highschool performing band. Nothing too fancy.
I only play it because you have to play in the concert band to play in the Jazz Band (I play alto sax in the Jazz Band)

But this year i shall be a senior! I shall be numero uno of ze clarinets! Well second to my dear friend Paul, but he has graduated! So you see now i shall fight for the music award! woot! i got it graduating elementary must keep up the working! So yess Last year I went on my band trip to Spain and Portugal. We had damn too much fun! Ahaha you know whats the best about being in a band? when you're bored on a bus for many many many long hours under a hot spanish sun, we all have sing-a-longs. the best is when we sing our band songs and we each sing our own parts. its hilarious! ahaha! too fun! Do you guys do it too?!? Anyways our biggest thing this year is a CD recording. CD of jams number 3! woot! the second one i'll be recording. Our program likes to spend money =P

Never consider a piece easy until you've played it the way it was intended, with an orchestra. It may seem easy when you're by yourself, because you can change the tempo at will, spend more time on the difficult runs, etc, but when theres 100 people behind you that are trying to follow your lead, it's MUCH more important to go beyond just the notes, articulations, and crescendos, which is what makes those pieces truly difficult. I'm starting on Webber's clarinet concerto #1, which moves past the high school level Concertino and Mozart by bringing in more depth and contrast.

Okay I have to say this and man is it true..... CLARINETS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BOOOOOOOOO YEEEAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! I use to be a first chair clarinetest, for four straight quarters, but I am now moving up to high school, and Ihave more people to compete with. I've been playing the clarinet for about 3 years now, I know kind of pathetic, but I could only start in 6th. I play the clarinet in marhing and in concert band, and are liking them both. One more than the other, but still liking them. biggrin
