Alti didn't even bother to nod. His head was pounding too much with the heat and pain of sick fever and he thought that if he moved his head he would be quite literally sick. Instead, he merely let his burning eyes drift to a close as he tried to wish himself to sleep.
But it was hard. His body was fatigued... but it was so tired that sleep was nearly beyond him. And he ached.

All he needed to do was set off his own tag, right? It was the only way he could think of contacting the woman fast enough. Limping slightly over towards the small table Alti had set the dagger on (it was closer than his sword), Haar handled it with care as he lifted it from its resting place.
Staring hard at the gleaming blade, the young man swiftly whisked the tip of the dagger across his arm, wincing slightly at the sudden pain. The blade had been much duller than he first suspected, so the cut had hurt even worse. Thankfully he wasn't bleeding all over the place, the gash wasn't too deep, but hopefully enough to set off the charm placed upon him. Hopefully.

TableTopWatch [[I love Kaelin as well, it's just too bad he's from the ice nation. :B I'll try to force out some posts about Haar's pastpast. X3 ]]
Ceris smiled gently, brushing the knight's hands away from him with a wary glance up at the smirking man. "It's quite alright, Ruehl," he murmured while taking a small step forward, showing the other that he was perfectly fine. "No one was hurt so there's no need to rest over the matter, just be more..." He stopped for a moment, searching for the right word, a slender fingers pressed against his chin in thought.
"Observant?" Xel suggested with a faded grin, watching with interest as light purple-grey eyes lit up at the word. The older man loved when...he did that. When Ceris's mind just clicked like that. He always had the most amusing expression on his face.
Said mage turned to the soldier with a bright grin, "Exactly! Observant, more observant." Upon noting the prince's last comment, Ceris caught Xel's brown eyes for a moment before looking the young man in front of them with a soft smile. "I would...greatly appreciate it if you could sign some... sentence papers. We need them to be sent to Xel's father as quickly as possible," he murmured, hoping the younger wouldn't ask too many questions about the matter. Ceris wasn't sure if the prince knew much about what Xel had done a year or so previous or even of his innocence-- and the mage wasn't about to fuel the fire prince's obvious dislike for the knight... With a curious expression, the mage continued with a sort of cat-like grin, "And if you answer one question. Why exactly do you not enjoy Xel's company?"
Ruehl nodded agreeably. He could manage observant. At the mention of sentence papers, he arched a crimson brow in interest. Why would Ceris need those? Nonetheless, he agreed; it was the least he could do after losing such control. "Just bring them to me tonight-- or whenever-- and I'll do it," he replied. Thinking all business matters were resolved, Ruehl thought to invite the pair to dine with him. He began to open his mouth, but quickly closed it as Ceris proceeded uninterrupted.
"I--" What could he say? It wasn't proper for him to show dislike toward a subject, but to be called so easily on the matter... Ruehl felt uncomfortable. Peridot hues glanced over uneasily at the knight. He knew exactly why he disliked the man. He was rude, arrogant, but most importantly... he hurt Haar. He sliced up the commander's fingers with such cool haughtiness. And unfair as it might've been, Ruehl blamed Xel for his spat with the Commander. Things had been going well, or so he had thought, until Xel had provoked him.
Now Haar probably only found him to be a nuisance. If in fact, the other even thought of him at all.
So what could he say to Ceris? Without... divulging his secret to two of Haar's comrades (If, that was what Xel could be considered). Neither of whom he knew to be personally trustworthy of such a secret.
"Will you two have dinner with me? It's about that time," he offered evasively, "I can... answer your questions then."

Thankfully he wasn't bleeding all over the place, the gash wasn't too deep, but hopefully enough to set off the charm placed upon him. Hopefully. A strident, rining tone sounded only moments after the cut had been made. It was enough for Alti to rise from his laying position, brow furrowed in confusion, one hand clamped over his ear as the other one tried feebly to support his weight. "Haar, what...?" he asked, eyes fixing on the other's arm. He almost groaned once he realised what was happening. But at that moment, his arm decided to give out on him and the groan turned to a startled "mmf!"
But the tag had worked. Less than a minute later, loud slapping sounds in quick succession - like shoes hitting a tiled floor - could be heard getting louder. The door finally burst opened and Alora entered, hair somewhat mussed from the running, her face white. She was always so histrionic when it came to the tags - but particularly in this case. This man, whoever he was, was her son's lover (( xD;;; )) and he had to be given priority.
What she saw was not pleasing. Haar with the dagger... but then her eyes snapped onto Alti. She gasped and rushed forward, hair and skirts billowing out behind her.

Mie-tanuki Sayael nodded slowly. They were drawing closer minute by minute. It was impossible to destinguish any detail in the wall, but... it was most certainly a wall. It was completely unmoving, with lights set on it every few yards or so so that from a distance it appeared almost to glow - a wall of glowing, white stone. His full attention was now focused on their destination. The wall ended some ways off into the water and they were headed for just that location. Sayael had been out this way before - always checking, cataloging, recording. There were no spikes or... well... anything to harm any vessel. And yet... somehow he had never been able to pass the wall's borders. But he was now confident that, with Jillian on board, they would be able to pass. Without taking his eyes off the spectacle, Dax wandered his way back toward Sayael. For some reason or another, he felt more secure standing beside someone else. Especially since he knew the other prince had been near these parts before while he himself had seen very little of anything. Though to someone who saw new, extravagant features on a daily basis, they may not think just 'a wall' would be something so grand, but to the Ice Prince, it was all so different. So foreign to what he had ever seen. And to think of what lay just beyond it! "How do we, you know.. actually cross it?" he asked. "If it was so simple, you surely would have done it long ago."

Sayael payed almost no heed as he heard the other's light footsteps approach. Even once the other had spoken, he only turned slightly to shoot a bright, emerald glance at him for a moment before turning back to examine the Wall again. "The Wall ends just there," he said, pointing to a spot indistinguishable from the rest of the Wall. "It's just an illusion. And with Jillian - his blood, at least - we should cross without problem," he said confidently. A lot more confidently than he actually felt.
((Sorry for crapiness... have to get off in about five seconds. xD;;; ))

What she saw was not pleasing. Haar with the dagger... but then her eyes snapped onto Alti. She gasped and rushed forward, hair and skirts billowing out behind her. [[X3;;]]
Haar wiped the blade off on his pants before returning it to its place on the teen's night stand of sorts. With a relieved expression, the young man hobbled his way over towards the corner of the room, making sure to keep far away from the woman who was currently fluttering over towards her son. He was glad it had worked, whatever sort of charm she had placed on him...he wasn't sure if he could've taken the blood loss on top of such stress if she hadn't come. Pressing a hand against the wall to steady himself, Haar slid down to a sitting position, lips curled into a frown at the movement.
He supposed he should've been used to cuts such as these. They hurt like hell, but...he should've been used to the pain. He'd been nicked, cut, gashed, bruised, battered...hurt, more times than he could remember and yet unless it was something minor...they still ended up hurting like always. Clamping his hand over his arm, Haar grit his teeth together at the dulled, gnawing pain that resided there, throbbing with each steady thump of his pulse, which he could feel quite clearly.
Looking over towards the mother and son, Haar almost smiled, but the fresh pain in his arm was keeping him from doing anything but wince. He hoped that whatever was wrong with Alti would be fixed...and that he could...go home soon-- and possibly send out an escort to fetch Peyton and Cain. He wasn't sure if he had much strength to rempremand the kids right now... Closing his eyes, the young commander let out a quiet sigh, fingers closed around his arm relaxing as he leaned his head against the wall. He'd yell at them later...
[[I think he's finally ready to pass out. X3]]

The waves of black nausea that had been sweeping over the young teen were soon replaced by even blacker sleep. Peaceful, healing sleep. Alora's hands rested on the purple-haired teen's shoulders and he slumpt down on the bed. SHe drew the covers over his sleeping form in the gentlest, most motherly of ways.
No matter what, she loved her son. No harm would come to him - he could never be hurt, never be in pain - as long as Alora could find him and heal him. Or at least, that was what she hoped.
After making absolutely certain that Alti was healing and sleeping, on his way to becoming better, she turned around to thank the commander. She gasped lightly at his state. The shrill, continuous noises had ceased the moment she entered, but there remained a ringing in the ears.
"What...?" Her eyes lingered on the other's cut arm. She hurried forward and, in a flash, had healed that as well. This was Alti's... Alti's lover. The first person her son had shown any affection towards in years. She had to help. Her cool hands searched until they found the aged wounds. Even cooler - but not unpleasant - magic was sent streaming through the other's veins, like a spring breeze captured in one touch.
As she pulled her pale fingers away slowly, she swayed slightly. She had had many patients that day, not including these two or the light-haired Fire native of the previous afternoon. She shouldn't have overdone it like that.
One hand reached behind to find the dresser surface. Clutching onto that, she slumpt down against the wood and sighed, eyes comming to a fatigued close.

Yes, he'd...yell...at...them all...much later.
In his semi-conscious state, Haar gathered that Alora was coming towards him, much to his dismay. Don't...please- Don't make....me sleep- The words were very present in his foggy thoughts, but the only thing that reached his lips was an incoherent mumble, half syllables and broken words. Fingers slipping from his once slippery-wet arm, the young soldier was finally forced into unconsciousness, his body apparently didn't want to stay up no matter how much Haar wanted to. No matter how much he wanted to stay away from his past, his fears, his future.
"It wasn't your fault." Red eyes whisked across the floor, very much like her older brother's, but a slightly different shade, more of a ruby color rather than blood. "It was an accident." She looked up with that hurt expression, that worried expression she always had when looking at him these days. "It could've happened to anyone."
Just because the whole tragedy hadn't been intentional...didn't mean it wasn't his fault.

It was Xel's first night back, and the mage supposed eating dinner with the prince wasn't high on the knight's list of priorities. It probably wasn't even on the list at all, what with the older man's subtle dislike for most royals. Ceris felt the other's hand on his shoulder, his grip becoming tighter with each passing second, signaling that the idea was not a very pleasurable one to him.
"It's- Ah- "Ceris stumbled over the next few words before forcing out an overly enthusiastic, 'Of course!' (Much to the dark haired man's dismay).

"His blood?" Dax echoed, looking genuinely confused. He understood Jillian had originally came from the place that lay beyond the Wall, but would that really grant them passage beyond? "What difference will him being here make?" And being the oblivious, occasional ditz that he was, his eyes widened slightly at some sudden realization. "We're not going to actually use his.. blood are we? Are you planning to kill him in order to cross the Wall? Sayael! Surely getting across isn't important enough to take his life, is it?" He clearly was beginning to overexaggerate a bit, but he really didn't know what to expect from the other prince now that they had arrived at their destination.

Mie-tanuki Too surprised to resist, the older teen fell back onto the bed. "I -- Faryn?" Faryn was doing such strange lately. The young prince must not know just how... suggestive everything he was doing was. For the other's benefit, he decided both to ignore it and to not comment -- for now.
"I'm not insane. I simply... I... I don't know..." he finished uncertainly. His dark eyes stared up at the younger teen and he tried to sit up again, but the other's hand was still pushing him down. "It's not something I can explain - it's not practical or even ethical. It's just... just something that happens."
He could hardly believe how unromantic his words were. But... Jillian had never been good at this. After all, he had had the misfortune to fall for the pained flower before.... Was he doomed to unrequited love forever? Feeling the push on his hand as Jillian tried to sit up, Faryn's knee slid onto the bed and he braced himself up on his other hand, planted by Jillian's shoulder while pushing the other back down with more force. The prince now hovered above Jillian, his dark eyes scrutinizing the other's face as the diplomat attempted an explanation. Indeed, Faryn was hardly attuned to anything suggestive about his actions. Something stuck out. So... even Jillian would agree that it was unethical to love him? Perhaps the other knew more of what a monster he could be than Faryn gave the older teen credit for.
"Is it logical, Jillian?" he inquired, mentally trying to sort out if Jillian's feelings made as much sense as his own.

Sayael rolled his eyes. "Of course we're not going to kill him. What, are you siding with our little vendictive Death prince, now? Think I'm the goth prince, hmm?" he teased with a small grin. "Him being here should be enough... probably. I mean... blood here does amazing things - it causes distrust and hatred and all sorts of problems without anyone even knowing a single thing about the other other than their Kingdom. Surely his blood must tie him to his Nation. And... well, if not, then... we'll crash, I suppose. Or be repelled," he said with a small shrug. "You can swim... right?"

((Arggg... my computer keeps switching back to Spanish. Dx If I use weird punctuation marks, like semi-colons instead of apostraphes... that's why. xD;;;; ))
The green-haired teen bit his lip softly, trying very hard to resist the temptation of... well, he had gotten hit the last time, so he couldn;t even try that. Despite the change that seemed to have occured ever so slightly in the Death prince... Jillian was still very doubtful that Faryn could even like him the smallest bit.
"I... well, I don't think so. Love is... it's painful and it doesn't... it doesn;t have any reason...." he said slowly, his dark eyes staring into the other's black orbs.
