Chase - Part 4bFinally, somehow, he made it out. The jabberwocky was well behind him, and Ornot sighed in relief. Turned out White Rabbit was the best choice for him to make, class-wise. If he had been just a little slower...

[The Chase - Part 1] Trees, trees, trees, at least these trees didn't talk as much as the earlier ones. Blindseer continued to study then, though, curious over the differences between each one. He was just placing a hand on the trunk of one oddly twisted tree when the earth shook. He looked around as smaller creatures started running by, yelling about something coming, something he didn't want to stick around for. Too late, the silence fell with a thud and there was something there, behind him... Blindseer turned in time to see the shadowy monster and just barely get out of the way. Yeah, time to GTFO. [The Chase (3/3) - Part 2] Voices, he was getting sick of hearing the people that meant something to him, calling out to him, trying to get him to lose his concentration. It wasn't right, using that against him. And, frankly, it didn't work, since he wasn't about to forget that his guardians weren't here. Hearing his father's voice, a voice he hadn't heard since he was a scareling, however, had him turning in shock. s**t. KO'ed. [The Chase - Skipped to Part 5] This time Blindseer put every bit of his frustration into running. Just running. He grit his teeth, ignoring the voices as best he could. Grabbing the health potion, he just managed to scrape by when the creature put on speed. And then he was out of the forest and the Jabberwocky wasn't following him anymore. Finally. He was free. It was an experience he didn't want to repeat. Ever. Pausing for just a moment to check his pocket card, Blindseer put the woods behind him, no intention of going back.
