To be fair, West would have done something foolish soon no matter where they happened to be at the time, but outside was definitely better. He followed pliantly as Levi led him through the auditorium doors and out into the slightly cooler nighttime air, but when she pulled at his sleeve and moved to duck around the corner, he pulled back for a second, eyes sparking with a burst of paranoid worry. Yes, outside was better, but it still wasn't safe. He stumbled forward, a frustrated curse on his lips moments before she was. All of a sudden, West didn't really know why he had been objecting at all. He still fought, but it was mostly for show and didn't last long. The boil responded almost immediately, only pausing long enough to pry the plate from her hand and hold it out far to one side before dropping it into the grass. There was more pathling where that had come from. It was an easy sacrifice to make. His warm hands grasped the base of her neck, serving to keep her from pulling away and to urge her closer all at once. Eventually, one dipped to rest at her upper back again, his fingers rubbing circles over her impossibly soft skin. Her tail twined with his, the sudden sensation making the hair on his arms stand on end under his shirt and coat. It had always felt so intimate when she did that, and tonight he was finally beginning to understand why. He coiled the tiny bit of his that remained free back around hers, a rough chuckle vibrating his throat as she began to purr. West wanted to stay here forever. That was probably a bad idea.

"What? But a cafe would be a great idea! Just lay off the weird teas." He teased with a cheeky grin. "As for me?" He paused, not always certain it was good to admit his dream. "I'd like to be a boogeyman." The fact a boogeyman had come to teach meant a world of possibilities, especially if they opened up mentor slots. "They do have them for boils.. Actually a lot of the boots I buy tend to have a slight lift to them, but not nearly to the extent of a ghoul's shoe." He said with a shrug. "And I would think not. I am tall enough as it is."But... Was Mot done growing? He certainly hoped so, Xiu. He truly did.

He was a little late to the prom, or at least a little more late than he had planned as he tugged on the sleeves of his long coat buttoned coat. Joachim looked around the rather filled room not surprised that the other students he had grown familiar to seeing rather or not he knew their names where there. However he was looking only for one ghoul, his date Ev who was charmingly setted. Pulling his mask over his face he took in a deep breath of air, his fingers felt as if they were going to shake apart as he stuffed them into his pockets and started to head into the crowd. He wasn't sure how she was and the guilt of leaving her at the prom so long alone made him even more concerned that she was probably mad at him but he still couldn't just leave or turn tail and hide. Trying to avoid running or at least stepping on any of the other student toes he silently made his way up to the side of the chair she was sitting in and swallowed the large lump in his throat down. "Hello Ev," He replied barely even audible to his own ears.

Her comment had him curious but Jericho decided to not press it. At the mention of doing something else in the mean time, he nodded and was about to ask to dance. However, he listened to the song. And decided against it. Not right now.

Xiu puffed her cheeks out in mock irritation at the cowboil's words. "Hey, hey, my tea isn't weird! It just...it just reacted strangely to you is all!" She laughed then, her mind flickering back to that day. It had, er, certainly given her a little bit of insight on just how strong of the brew her friend needed. After all, it had taken three cups before he finally conked out.
"A boogeyman?" Her eyes widened slightly at the reveal, but after overcoming over her initial surprise, the baku suddenly smiled. Truth be told, she didn't have the best view of the boogeyman--especially after they threatened to close Amityville--but that didn't mean the profession itself was necessarily a bad one. That, and if there was anyone who could change something for the better, she knew that it would be Mot. "I'll be rooting for you, then!" She chirped, nodding her head enthusiastically. Maybe her views on the organization would finally change if she knew that there was good-hearted friend working there.
As for the bit about the height, Xiu would not--or rather, could not--disagree. Instead, she simply nodded solemnly in agreement--she hoped that he was done growing as well.
...Though she also hoped that she herself would be growing a little bit more.

Amarus could only stand and watch, awkwardly, as Tseng kicked her a** at dance fighting. But he did sort of shout out the name of his "move" which was tacky-- okay, so she had that one thing to complain about. Apart from that, he really did a lot better than her. It turned out that in a dance fight, the one with the stifled sense of self could be the victor?? Regardless, Amarus bowed to Tseng, her hands clasped in front of her.
"For this once, I must concede defeat, Tseng-- it pains me to do so, but I have been bested here today on the dance floor. All I learned was swing, from Mot, and then Lizzy told me to just move... but it seems my fighting skills are best left off the floor," she lamented. It turned out that while her dancing, before she knew what dancing was, had been mostly comprised of combat moves... now that she had learned more "official" and happy dancing she was content to keep them separate.
Her only regret? That he had most certainly defeated her in their competition. Amarus straightened her back and stepped towards Tseng to clap him on the shoulder. "I accept you as my rival," she said, her eyes glinting. And then she smiled. "So who covered you in glitter, anyway? Maybe they know how to get it off," she offered.

Watching the performance curiously, Ev didn't seem too phased by it, more so intrigued. As if something were about to happen. What a quirky fellow~
She gave her full attention though, curious at his explanation. "Oh you are a new student? How delightful! I certainly hope you are enjoying your stay here so far. Have you chosen any classes yet?" naturally, the ghoul was interested, and went right into the line of questioning. After all she'd been a new student once! But before she got ahead of herself, she smiled to him, "It is a pleasure to meet you, Mmur. I am Evelyne-Aglaya Yeva Verochka. You are more than welcome to simply call be Ev, though~" A few of her moths that covered the seats besides her lifted up and went into hovering above her like a cloud instead, to which left the other chairs now open for seating, "Well, I'm not entirely sure about the event myself." she admitted with a soft chuckle. "though... just by observation, and what I've gathered, it appears to be a more romantic sort of theme. A place for couples, so it seems." it had left the ghoul feeling a little uncomfortable. As much as she loved romance, it felt kind of awkward not being one who was romantically involved. She'd seen friends of hers, but it just didn't feel appropriate to approach them. Ev had never felt this way before... the usually confident demoness was a bit beside herself. "I do not have a significant other though, so I suppose it is a touch alienating. But a friend of mine has come with me, he shall be arriving soon, I'm sure of it."
As if on cue, said boil meandered on over. Her masked gaze turned to Joachim as he walked over, smile broadening a great deal. That vibrant red hair was unmistakable. "Joachim, you're here~" she chimed merrily, "You look quite handsome~" she added on with a that charming smile in place. Ah! But manners first~ "Joachim, this is Mmur, we've just become acquainted with one another. Mmur, this is my darling friend Joachim~" a few of her moths naturally fluttered over to perch on her date for the evening, inspecting his attire, mask, and lovely hair.

The way Shun was rubbing his rib alarmed Hel to the fact that he must have been hit there, and at the mention of Titus and Riyo, her eyes widened before narrowing. Her grip on Mitsu tightened. Titus she expected…but Riyo too? Had she been harassing Shun as well, and someway had been involved with why Mitsu was a tearful mouse in her arms right now? All the disappoint in Riyo. “ Where are they?” Her tone dropped, low. Was she thinking about some a** kicking later after Mitsu let her go? Quite possibly.

Alexander was being nice. Almost too nice, even for him. Alexander just willingly doing something for him when normally he used as little energy as he could get away with? Yes, something was fishy indeed, especially when he mentioned that there was quite possibly something wrong with what he was giving him. Yin politely took the drink nonetheless, and thought it was okay, though he drank less than he might have otherwise. Prom court? Whatever that meant...like...courting? Prom courting? Well...there did seem to be a lot of couples dancing. So couples that worked together were winners? That brought up the distinct question of if he wanted to be a winner or not. On the one hand, he would like for his relationship (as it was) was successful. But he did not precisely want anyone else voting on it, that was just nerve-wracking. Trying to ignore the enigma of "prom court" and the distinct lack of games he focused on the other part, and frowned lightly. "I do not believe that I have seen the photo from Scarentines Day. Did you receive it?" But maybe this time he could get the photograph, which could be interesting. Then he could leave it in his room and Princess Eva could look at it when he was gone. "Yes, let us go get our photo taken and then you can dance with others if you wish? I am not sure that I would like to dance with others today." It was possible, but not exactly likely. And socializing would happen when it happened.

"I'm not biased, I'm honest." Mac corrected sweetly. He waited for her to finish saying her good-byes before he carefully drew her away on a path they had once taken a year ago. The last time they left Prom to go outside, it was because Lizzy had wanted to talk to him; the last time, Mac had been so mad over a misunderstanding. This time, he was the one bringing her outside, and this time, there was no outright anger, no awkward confessions. Just a couple on the mend.
He didn't do much yet, merely held one of her hands gingerly in his, rubbing his thumb against her knuckles.
"Nice night, hmm?" He asked conversationally, making no attempt to hide the fact that he was, once again, advancing on her to trap her between him and the wall. The Reaper, as he had before, extended his arms to press against the wall on either side of her. Black eyes stared down at her for a moment or two, admiring her from a nostalgic point of view. When he leaned in his lips brushed her nose before he leaned in, resting his forehead against hers.
"I have something for you." He murmured softly, smiling. One hand slipped away from the wall to undo one of the buttons to his jacket, reaching in to pull a thin box from a hidden pocket. He leaned his head away from hers as he pressed the box into her hand to give her space to open it; it was too big to be a ring, though.
"Happy anniversary, Lizzy."

And so Tseng managed to come out of this dance off as victor. With a big grin, he struck one final pose, and then relaxed himself. When she conceded defeat, he bowed down low to her regardless. "Ah! Then you are a warrior as well! One as such is worthy to be my rival!" he said while puffing his chest out proudly. She would not be his first rival, but there was never really such thing as having too many perhaps. Especially if it was all in the name of competition. It didn't matter anyway. In the end, he was going to be the top hero. One that Yuzhi will write history and story of with her scholarly ways! "Er.. I'm not really sure actually. I was speaking with a group of students and then suddenly BANG! The group of us were showered!"

Tess continued to follow Sheridan's lead as she gave a light hmm in response to his explanation. Narrowing her eyes to study him and pursing her lips in feigned suspicion, she continued, "Reeeeally?" The prolonged syllable should be hint enough she was teasing.

Petro blinked at Needle's concern over her stomach, how would that hurt others when-oh! He gave the ghoul a grin, "Getting a cast-iron stomach's an excellent development, take my word for it. That way, my baking ain't gonna give y' food poisoning." His voice was teasing and affectionate, though he kept a proper distance between himself and Needle. "I'd uh accidentally given Needle food poisoning once. Ain't ever happening again," he explained to Ulmuka sheepishly.
The tikbalang was never out of arm's reach to Lattice, or at least he tried not to be out of arm's reach for too long. Especially now that it looked to be that they were going to get their pictures taken. He took Lattice's hand into his own, giving her a gentle, reassuring squeeze. "We could watch some'v the other couples get their pictures taken so's I can get the timing down to warn y' when it's about to flash."

"You know I appreciate your honesty," Even if it brought quite an amount of suffering for both of them. As Mac led her down the same path that they had taken a year ago, she couldn't help but recall her feelings back then, all the confusion, misunderstandings, and hurt that originated from that very first kiss in his room... Mac was possibly the best mistake that she ever made, "Beautiful night... This brings back so many memories-"
As Lizzy very suddenly found herself with her back to the wall, she instantly blushed, looking away as she rubbed her cheeks, "A lot of memories..." She was so awkward back then... Then again, she was probably still pretty awkward now, although like before, being this close to Mac still managed to make her blush, still caused her heart to race. He didn't even need to wear skin tight jeans.
As the memories came flooding - their first kiss, their first date, the time she asked him how to kiss with tongue - her recent heartbreak was forgotten, pushed to the back of her mind; it was just a bump in the road. A very big bump, but something she did not want to hold onto. She wanted to hold onto the happier things... Those matter more to her.
Giggling, she smiled, staring into Mac's eyes; she was about to put her arms around his shoulders when he handed her the something that he was talking about - and she was genuinely surprised. Apart from bouquets of flowers, Mac hadn't actually gotten her a gift before... But their anniversary felt like the perfect time to receive something from him for the very first time.
Wordlessly, she held the box up, inspecting it like the box itself was the gift; what if there was a really big ring inside? Holding her breath, she opened the box, magenta eyes widening in surprise at the pendent she found herself staring at.
"I... It'sbeautifulandIloveit... Thank you," She teared up, running a finger down the pendent before turning the box towards Mac, sniffling as she smiled, "Helpmeputitonplease?"
