Everlasting Chaos

I'm SO relieved about the way they did the Nightbringer. It isn't actualy the Nightbringer, just a Necron Lord given an amount of power similar to that of the Nightbringer. I swear I would have killed the makers of this game if they had the Necron Lord turn into an actual Nightbringer.

I seriously love how the Necrons play too. I didn't even bother starting in Easy mode and skipped straight to Normal, and I feel right at home with those guys. Interestingly enough I'm playing them almost exactly how I would on the tabletop. Start by planting the Monolith in the middle of the enemy's base then warping the rest of my unit right past their defenses. Yay Necron Summoning! xd

I'm a casual player, I play in easy so I can enjoy the game more in my own tempo.

The Tau capitol is a tough cookie, even when I played against them with Guard. The trick is to use Vindicares or other stealthed units to root out those pesky stealth suits. Other then that, heavy weapon teams saved my bacon, as the moment they dug in they become miniature gods of battle, autocannon rules!

The Necrons, those were also tough, mainly because of those nifty specially themed obelisks they had strewn around the map. But nothing that could be helped with a little use of heavy weapon teams, a Vindicare and the love of three Bassies.

Eldar were a sneaky bunch, but broke quite easily once I battered aside both enemy armies ensnared there. It was only a matter of laying siege to their inner sanctum, slowly bombarding them into submission.

Orks, they were quite easily driven back by some heavy weapon teams and a battery of mechanized unslaught. Destroying the banners amde it a wee bit easier to win.

Space Marines, the trick is you just need to smash open one side and just plunge in. I completely ignored the objective where I was ordered to capture the relic, instead going all out along the right flank, disabling their orbital abilties with glee.

Chaos was easy really, it just called for a slow and ponderous build up. Once the gate was stamped to the ground nothing would remain.

Right now I'm breaking the siege of Victory Bay with the Tau and the Imperial Guard is proving to be quite tough in their resistance. I lost my four Crisis Suits when I first jumped in that ditch, *woosh!* xd But I struck back with stealth suits, Vespid and three new Crisis suits, battering the crap out of those power plants and that stoopeed Commissar and his minders. Still need to take the main base though.

Unlike Winter Assault, this game manages to stay entertaining.

Yeah, all of those descriptions match my opinions. The Tau stronghold is a b*****d. I started an eldar campaign (before finishing the necron one) and Im thinking im not real good with them unless its a one on one skirmish mode...not an all out assault.
When I do it a fourth time, I might do it IG or SM, although I am weak with IG.

Well, I finally broke the Imperial Guard. All it took me was about twelve Crisis Suits before I told them to go ******** theirselves and just sent in three Skyrays and two Hammerheads, one missile barrage later and the Imperial Guard was no more. This leaves me with just the aliens left, as there is no more Imperial presence on the planet. My third tour of the planet will either involve Chaos or the Eldar, they seem nifty enough for a go. I'm especially looking forward to testing piles of stealthed chaos marines against the enemy.

I'm scared because you spelled newspaper wrong.

My vote is DE's Booty Call City (feat. Snoop Dog)

I always get typos in ironic places....

And would you care to explain the second bit of your post?

I can't believe how rediculously powerful the necrons are. Once you get past the whole takes forever to get the power supply flowing, its just one whole march of doom as you just walk over everybody. Even the baneblade, Greater Demon, Avatar, Squiggot; which are normally an annoying nuisance when they show up; is a joke in their presence.

This probably isn't news, but why the hell do infiltrated units get to continue shooting without being spotted? Is this just a massive bug? Seems a bit broken if otherwise.

Game Mechanics aside, it also makes no sense how you can't see the fancy stealthsuits after 12 seconds of pumping burst cannons into you.

It gives you a hint at where the units are, but as you know only special units can see them. This makes stealth units actually useful, because you dont have to give away the units position and make them vulnerable.

Do necron warriors take longer to build the more you have? I was playing at the chaos stronghold and I was pumping out 5 squads of them, the first 3 I got then the next 2 took over 20 minutes to build. I ended up aborting those and got the restored monolith instead, and squashed the heretics.

Hell the blood pulse thing was annoying as hell, I skipped it altogether and just sent out my 'cron lord and teleported him to the fields of khorne where I swarmed the place with flayed ones, ironically I took out the warp gate without ever doing any of the other objectives and only using my 'cron lord and a crap load of flayed ones, man you gotta love that ressurection orb.

That's not a bug, that's actually one of the advertised changes in the game. Makes infiltrated units actually worth something. All the races have a fair number of detectors, so it's not too bad so long as you actually use them.

Oh, and Flash Gitz are goddamn powerful. I haven't used them, but they've shot up Knarlocs and Hammerheads pretty good.

I havent tried em out yet but from what I saw when my brother tried them out they look damn powerful, they die extremely easy though.

@Ymm:
You should try out the Orb, especially on those stronghold assult missions where lots of your units will die, it basically revives dead units and forms them together into new squads and trust me it kicks a**, in the chaos stronghold mission I lost like 5 squads to the blood thirster and I built 5 more and ressurected the 5 dead ones and got 10 squads of flayed ones mrgreen (and this was far over the squad cap).
