Rei looked over his shoulder at Lee. "Really none of your business." He said flatly. "Now, where do we have to go to get Drigger?" He asked, changing the subject.

Sonia rolled her eyes. "Just be glad you don't work directly for cranky pants over there." She said, gesturing over her shoulder to Boris who had sat back down on his chair, rubbing his temples.
"I heard that."
"You were meant to." Sonia told him, reaching for the phone and putting it to her ear. She listened to the phone ring on the other end with a bored expression on her face.

The Kais sighed simultaneously and look at each other "Sor-" They began to say before realising that they were talking together again.
Their eyes mutually narrowed. "You first" Kai1 said.
"No you, I insist." His partner replied.
~
"No thank-you." Fayina said quietly. "I didn't want to hurt you in the first place."

Taki nodded. "Fair enough then," he said while looking around.
"Hmm, i don't know about you but i'm sick of sitting around at the moment," he muttered while starting to get up. As soon as he was up straight he scrunched his eyes together as a wave of dizziness hit.
"Woah," he sat straight back down and rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Maybe i'll stay down for a bit longer, while i learn to stand up slowly."

Tala cracked an eye open to look at the two in front of him. He rolled it before closing it again.

RING
Ralefs head shot up from the desk it was resting on, paper fluttering everywhere.
RING
"Huh, wha, where?" He said looking around before his eyes came to rest on the phone in his office.
RING
"Eh?" He asked, squinting, before searching around for his glasses, putting them on and picking up the receiver.
"Ralef here."

Lee ignored the question and tilted his head on the side. "Or maybe you've woken up to the resistance. Finally realised it was a waste of time and would never work? Hah."
He stayed quiet for a moment. "Or maybe," he started quietly, "You're just sucking up to Boris."

"Now I know why deaf is normally paired with dumb." Rei said acidly, stopping in the middle of the hallway to turn and face Lee.
"Do you have Drigger on you or do we have to go and get it?" He demanded.

"It's Sonia. I'm calling to warn you that we're sending a troupe of scientists down your way to study a sacred spirit and it's master..." Sonia trailed off as she watched Boris make a cutting motion.
He reached for the phone and took it from a confused Sonia. "Ralef? Balcov here. I'm sending both the subject and his spirit to you purely so he will unveil it and we can take it from him, understood? The scientists that I'm sending you are actually soldiers to help with subduing the subject once the spirit is corporeal." Boris looked over at Ilya, making sure that the tech had understood.

Both of the Kais sighed and nodded, knowing what the other was thinking.

"Don't move at all." Fayina ordered. "Slowly or not- that shot was meant to kill you and I'm guessing that it came damn close." She said, looking at Taki's paler-than-normal face. "I don't normally miss."
She grimaced and sat down beside Taki. "Sorry, didn't mean for it to come out like that."

Taki forced a smile. "No worries, i feel so much safer sitting next to you now," he muttered.
He sighed, "Well, as long as your back to normal then."

Ralef blinked. "Ah, understood, Sir. What would you like me to do with the spirit after we have got it? Send it back to you?" he inquired.

Ilya looked over at Boris and nodded. "Soldiers, right, i'm on it," he said and made his way to another phone.
~
"Ooh, i think i may have hit a nerve," Lee said, amused. He reached into one of his pockets and pulled out Drigger's disc, holding it up for Rei to see.
"Here, happy now?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

Rei raised an eyebrow. "When you've hit a nerve I'll tell you about it." He said flatly. "Until then, bear in mind that I find you annoying and that Balcov listens to what I say."
Rei eyed Drigger's disk. "You know, it's not as big as I remember it." He told Lee before turning around and walking in the direction of Ralef's lab. "Come on. We're probably already late."

Boris shook his head before remembering that Ralef couldn't see him. "No. I'm sending Rei with the subject. By all accounts- he is much more suited to being the spirit's handler. He should be compatible enough for you to transfer it over to him." Boris rubbed the bridge of his nose, trying to relieve some of his stress.
"I'll leave it up to you to figure out how to do that. You have my permission to use whatever means necessary. They're on their way now." Boris sighed inaudibly. Sorry Rei
Sonia looked over at Dem. "Can you find out where they are on their way?" She asked.

Fayina gave Taki a wan smile. "Far from it." She said simply. "I'm just a good actor." She gave a mirthless laugh and gestured to her body. "I kind of need to be, don't I?"

"I'll say this, I don't envy you," he looked down and smirked, "So, what's it like being permenantly short?"
Kia looked up from where she and Mariah were standing and over at Taki and Fayina. She raised and eyebrow.
"Well, at least he's able to talk to his would-be assasin," she said.
Mariah looked over at the two and laughed nervously, "Ah, you think that's safe?"
Kia shrugged, "Well, he keeps saying that he's invincible." She looked around the room. "Nearly time," Mariah said. Kia nodded. "Guess i better get moving then," she said before making her way over to Taki and Fayina.

Dem blinked. "Where? You mean like work the camera's?" he asked incredulously.
Ilya waltzed over with a corldess phone attatched to his ear. "Yes, that's right, Group Alpha 9 to Ralef's labs," he looked over at Dem, "I'll do it," he announced, clicking a few keys and working his computer, bringing up there picture and still talking to a soldier on the phone, "No, yes, maybe, what are you asking me for? Ralef will inform you when you get there," He straightened up and moved away from the screen, "How do you feel about chicken noodles?"
Dem shook his head.

"Must have a bad memory then," Lee muttered and followed the other boy.

Rei walked in silence for a few seconds before sighing and looking over his shoulder at Lee. "What exactly do you have against me anyway?" He asked, annoyed that he had even put the question into words.

Sonia rolled her eyes. "You sit next to him all day every day and you can't even bring up a simple video stream?" She asked incredulously.
Boris hung up on Ralef and looked at Sonia. "If this doesn't work-"
"-We're screwed to all hell." Sonia said grimly. "I got that memo." She gave the purple-haired man a smile. "Don't worry, I'm sure it'll go swimmingly."
"I just gave Ralef permission to use whatever means necessary on Rei"
"Ok... at least the endgame will come out swimmingly."

Fayina looked over at Kia and straightened where she was sitting. "What's happening?" She asked, looking between Kia and Mariah.

"Oh, nothing much really," Mariah started brightly, "Just a bit of preparation-"
"-For an attack," Kia added while Mariah and Taki nodded.
"The usual," Taki said out of the corner of his mouth.
"Which reminds me," Kia turned to Taki and smiled, "I have a job for you."
Taki raised an eyebrow in response. "Oh?"
"Yes, i need you to go and fetch the others. They're in some room through that door," She nodded towards the door Kai had gone through before.
"Ah, trying to get rid of me then," Taki said before holding his arm out, "I need help getting up anyways."
Kia blinked and grabbed onto Taki's offered arm. Taki sighed and then started to rise up slowly, using Kis for support. Once he was up he closed his eyes again. Another dizzy spell but it wasn't as bad as the last.
Kia looked up at him worriedly. "Are you sure you're ok?"
Taki opened his eyes and smiled. "I'm fine, don't worry about me."
Kia wasn't convinced.

Dem shrugged, looking over at Ilya, "Who says i watch what he does?" he mumbled.
"Great!" Ilya exclaimed before putting the phone down and wandering back over. "We're going to get noodles soon."
Dem raised an eyebrow, "You just ordered take out? From where?!"
He shook his head and looked back towards Sonia and Boris. "Actually i don't want to know."

Lee's eyes narrowed. "Your a traitor. My own sister is a traitor, what do you think i have against you?"

"The fact that we're both much better looking than you? That Mariah got both the beauty and the brains? That you can't get over the fact that you'll always be second best? Do I have to continue?" Rei asked, arching an eyebrow.
"If you were pissed at us because we were fighting for something that you didn't believe in it would have started there. You were angry at us before the resistance was even heard of."

"Oh! By the way, How's the cyanide factory going?" Sonia asked brightly.
"Just fine, I hear they've perfected the art of poisoning food in such a way it's undetectable."
"Wow, that's pretty impressive."
"I think they're looking for test subjects now." Boris said as he walked to the entryway of the control room.
Sonia smirked and fluttered her fingers at Dem and Ilya. "Have fun boys. Page us if anything unusual comes up."

Fayina sighed and rolled her eyes as she stood up. "Sit down she told Taki firmly. "Remember what I was just telling you? You've lost a lot of blood and- if you keep on moving around there;s a danger that you'll lose even more. Not good." She clarified.
"I'll go look for them." She told Kia firmly. "Try to make sure he doesn't move."

Kia smiled down at Fayina. "Will do, " she turned to glare at Taki, "I'll just sit on him if he tries to escape."
She turned to Mariah. "Show Fay the door while i restrain this animal here, eh?"
Mariah nodded and laughed, walking towards the door, Taki glaring at her retreating figure.
"Sit."
Taki looked back at Kia. "Oh, come on! I don't need to sit , woman."
Kia's eyes darkened. "Sit" she commanded. Taki gulped and then sat down. "Ok, look i'm sitting," he said quietly. Kia sighed and knelt down in front of him, brushing some of his hair out of his eyes.
"I wish you would say that you aren't fine for once," she muttered. Taki grabbed her hand and smirked.
"Really, i'm fine."

Ilya's eye twitched, "Food.. poisoning?"
Dem waved back at Sonia and smiled brightly, "Unusual? Like Ilya keeling over dead? Sure thing!"

Lee laughed. "Whatever you reckon Rei."

Rei shrugged. "You're not giving me any reason to think otherwise." He told the other Chinese teen. "So unless you can come up with a legitimate reason that's going to have to be the one I'll believe."

Sonia grinned. "Don't worry- I'm sure it's only in the sauce." She told Dem before the door shut on both her and Boris.
Sonia sighed and reached for the pen that she always kept in her breast pocket. She clicked it so the metal nib showed. It had been custom made for her when Boris had installed the new security system. It blocked all video and audio fields within a five metre circumference of the pen, thus making it good when she had to do things off the record.
"Are you ok?" She asked Boris, placing a concerned hand on his shoulder. "If this bothers you so much I'll go alone and you can attend to something else."
Boris shook his head stubbornly. "I'm the one who's at fault if Rei gets hurt in any way. I should at least be there for him."
He smiled sadly. "Can you imagine what it would feel like for him to have to face whatever Ralef's going to do by himself? The least I can do is be there."
"You know that it's necessary." Sonia reminded him.
"Is it?" Boris questioned, beginning to walk in the direction of Ralef's lab. "I hope it is. If it's not I may have just lost Rei."
He remembered Rei's confession to being involved with the resistance. "Even more than I already have."

Fayina followed Mariah wordlessly, trusting that Kia would be able to keep Taki in his place. She had an inkling that Kia would have no trouble at all. She cared about Taki too much to let anything happen to him.

"Ugh," Kia closed her eyes and sighed, exhasperated. "You really are a worry you know that?"
Taki smiled. "Am i now?" He looked down at the hand he was still holding before giving it a tug.
"Wah!" Kia said, blushing as she found herself milimetres away from Taki's face. He raised an eyebrow and smirked.
"Now, what did you say about sitting on me?"
Kia narrowed her eyes, somehow managing to become redder. "You're also infuriating."
She was trapped by Taki's good arm and somehow managed to avoid hitting his left shoulder. He just grinned at her like a loon.

Mariah grinned at Fayina when they reached the door. "Have fun looking for them," she said.
~
Ilya's voice became squeeky. "Sauce?" Dem snickered at him.
~
Lee rolled his eyes. He would say but he didn't feel like bringing up bad memories about the village at the moment.
He was more worried about what testing would be happening. If it was testing at all.

At Lee's silence, Rei turned back toward the front and quickened their pace. He didn't know what Boris had planned for Lee but he was pretty sure it wasn't tests.
He just wished he knew.

Sonia's eyes softened in understanding. "Rei will understand." She assured Boris.
"But how long will it take him?"
Sonia shrugged. "As long as he needs." She clicked off her pen and put it back in her pocket. "Come on." She said curtly, beginning to lead the way to Ralef's lab.

"I intend to." Fayina told Mariah as she slipped through the door. She found herself in a doorless corridor.

Mariah nodded before turning and making her way back to the other two. SHe raised an eyebrow as she neared before clearing her throat.
Kia stopped glaring at Taki for a moment to look over her shoulder. She turned back and flicked Taki's nose. "I have work to do."
"Ow," Taki let go of Kia to reach up and rub his nose. Kia took the opportunity and scrambled off him, giving him another glare. Oh the troubles of only having one arm.
"Right, then, stay there and don't move," she commanded before walking away. Mariah gave him a questioning look which he answered with a sheepish grin.

Ralef paced his lab, witing for the soldiers and subjects arrive. Just when he thought he had enough on his hands looking for the escaped clone he received something else to do.
The blonde nurse wathed him pace before frowning. None of this looked good to her. Especially since she was the only other member of his team here.
~
Lee followed Rei, oblivious to what would happen soon.

((Oh- I forgot to mention- TAKI AND KIA ARE SO CUTE I JUST WANT TO EAT THEM!))
Rei found the door of Ralef's lab and pushed his way through it, not bothering to hold it open for Lee.
The other Chinese teen could look after himself.
Rei looked around the room, noticing that only Ralef and the blond nurse were there. "Are we the first ones?" He asked Ralef.

Boris sighed in frustration and began to follow Sonia. He really needed to invest in one of those pens. He did trust Ilya and Dem to keep what they saw on the security monitors to themselves- to a point. He didn't want them to see any side of himself that he didn't want to share.
"Do you think the procedure will be successful?" He asked, lengthening his stride so he caught up with Sonia.
The blonde shrugged and made a non-committal sound.

Fayina turned right, and made her way up the corridor, keeping an eye out for any door.
She turned the corner and came to the corridor of doors.
That's less helpful She thought as she resignedly began to open up doors.
