Tempest rolled her eyes, not one for riddles or logic when it came down to it. She quickly typed in the words to fill the blanks, the message now reading: It takes a wise man to handle a lie, a fool had better remain honest.
The second she pressed enter another window opened, revealing the hidden files.
There were multiple ones, each with a different name and date as though the data had been slowly collected over time and then revised to fit previous documents.
Neon peered around the screen, "Elite Listing, Relic Information, Current Locations, some...word I can't pronounce...Uh, History, The Scales of Balance...there is a lot in here."
"CD roms are pretty impressive, yeah. I prefer USB drives myself." Tempest replied, thinking Neon was referring to how much the device could hold rather than how much Alfred had looked up.
Lloyd fidgeted uncomfortably by the door.
"Hey, before you go rummaging through that...maybe I should explain something...."

Tolin & Desmond & Serrin

"Yes, yes you probably should." Desmond's voice called through the door. He already knew, of course. He wasn't stupid.

Tolin and Serrin remained silent. There wasn't much to say. Tolin did, however, take a good long look at the screen. Knowing what elite they were up against was useful, as was further information about the relics. Additional information on the balance. And hopefully a much more complete history... not to mention all the other documents on the CD.

Alfred had learned quite a bit, although none of it was essential. This seemed... less like a repository of knowledge and more as if it were his will. That even if he and Tolin were to die, there would be some way for others to know. For them to fight. To keep going, and hopefully finish what had been started before it was far too late.

The Weavile paused long enough to shoot a glare at the Lugia before turning back to the group in whole.
Ah hell, get it over with.
He slipped a claw under his collar and hooked it around a small silver chain around his neck before pulling it out to reveal a pale blue pendant with the imprint of a snowflake on it.
Neon seemed to be the only one besides Desmond who would probably be unsurprised. She'd seen it before, back when Lloyd rescued and then yelled at her for getting involved in something so dangerous.
"Yeah, let me introduce myself again. Names Lloyd Tallahassee, 35 years olf by appearance though in reality I could probably be most of ya'lls great, great grandfathers."
"Wait...wait, hold on. Those pendants have something to do with these Elite here? What are they, like, some evil organization?"
Tempest was the only on there who didn't have even a notion of what was occuring.
"The Elite of foot soldiers of Arceus, they each wear a special elemental pendant that grants them a lot of power, not to mention they are Arceus children in a sense, myself included. I quit...ages ago. Got tired of...all the killing, the fighting...I wanted to fix Pokemon, not carve them up. Luckily for me Arceus isn't too involved and all I had to do was ellude the others."
"Why didn't you know about Creaus? Orion?"
Lloyd rolled his eyes, "I left before that insanity with this third god was revealed, and after Orion left. I had no previous knowledge of the Elite that came before me. Arceus generally only replaced killed Elite on a whim, so I thought nothing of it."

Tolin & Desmond & Serrin

Tolin continued to hover in front of the screen near Tempest. "Ah, that's no good. I was hoping you were sent to spy on us and decided to betray them, that would've been much more useful." Tolin already knew. As did Serrin. The three of them had been hopping around the city searching for a powerful psychic, so it wasn't exactly unnatural that they picked up on him. Tolin had been told right away; Desmond wasn't sure whether or not it would be a good idea to kill him. "Well, at least that's one less pendant to worry about. Flying, ground, dark, ice, steel... I don't think we have to worry about Psychic, either." He spoke openly and frankly. Tempest was getting told of the situation regardless, and everyone else present already knew.

He stepped back slightly to better address her. "Essentially, a group of incredibly powerful demigods are trying to kill all of us and if we don't slaughter them all the world is going to end." Tempest was smart. She knew the panic it would cause. Even if she thought he was full of s**t, she would keep her tongue held. "The pendants are blessed with the power of Arceus, Dialga and Palkia. The elite were made to hold them. I guess we pissed them off, though. I wasn't expecting them to make the first move." Well, something changed. It wasn't Lloyd, which meant Orion's head was back in the noose fairly soon.

Well, damn. So much for his dynamic reveal. No one gave a s**t.
"Next time I'll just kill all of you." He muttered, possibly joking.
The Weavile kept his eyes on Tempest as she was finally told the situation and the Pikachu's face shifted to a grimace, then a calm, almost serene, expression.
"Sooo..." The electric type started, tugging at her bandages in thought, "Someone who knows let the Espeon out of the bag then?"
The term was completely innocent in nature, the Pikachu was unaware of Orion's involvement. If anything she was making threats at Solaris randomly.
"And that's why we have so many legendary present then. Someone, I'm assuming you Scyther, decided we needed more fire power."She would have continued, mouth open to voice a few more questions, when the sudden sound of pawsteps made her shut her mouth.
"Excuse me, you can't go th-OH GOD"Solaris went flying down the hall, compliments of a Hyper Beam, and an Eevee suddenly toddled into the room panting heavily.
"What happened?!" It demanded, making Neon flinch, much to Tempest's increasing confusion.

Tolin & Desmond & Serrin

Tolin nodded, taking no notice of Lloyd's annoyance. "Mostly. I had been planning on taking care of this without involving the guilds at all if possible. It's not much of a choice now, though."

Desmond shifted slightly, allowing the Eevee access to the door. Tolin and Serrin both quickly turned to face him.

Tolin spoke quickly and frankly. His focus rested solely on the Eevee; the rest of the room disappeared completely. "Suecra was taken and the guilds were blitzed. Alfred isn't dead, but he's in bad condition." Summarily, that was it. There were some other details, but it was a miracle Archer still existed at all. He wouldn't be around to act or properly consider the rest of them.

Tolin's face softened, showing grief for the first time since Alfred was brought to the guild. "I'm sorry. I didn't... think they would attack us." They had been completely benign and lazy. They hadn't moved at all. Something changed... but he didn't know what.

"You're sorry?! I warned you about them! I told you what would happen!" The Eevee snapped, causing Tempest to narrow her eyes at it.
It had a strangely mature voice for such a tiny Pokemon.
Not to mention it was transparent. Okay, that was a bit weird.
"I'm not going to ask. I don't want to ******** know." The Pikachu turned back to the computer, ignoring the normal type entirely.
Archer lifted a paw to gaze at in slight confusion until he realized what was happening.
"Dammit! I didn't get a chance to do what I said...to...to apologize to him, to fix things. Do something!" His rage turned to Neon who teleported behind Tolin on instinct.
"I can't! It only works once per Pokemon..."
"We got a map." Tempest said suddenly, cutting into the drama and tapping the screen.
"Looks like relative locations for these pendants. Least the ones we don't have or the badguys..."
Archer's anger subsided and he leaped onto the desk where Neon once stood.
"How the hell did he-oh, whatever. You'll need a Psychic type who can accurately scry to pinpoint these."
"Scry? I'm horrible at that." Neon muttered, shaking her head. She could do a lot of things, but scrying specifics was not her fort'e.
"I know...someone who can track anything so long as there is a basis for comparison. Hmph, but I doubt she'll want to help. She's never cared much for doing anything out of 'the goodness of her heart'."

Tolin & Desmond & Serrin

"I didn't have a choice! If I didn't tell him, we wouldn't have had a chance. He would have been attacked anyways. I had to choose. I could either lay down and die or I could fight against it! I chose to fight, as I always have." Tolin was just about seething by the time he was finished. He was as angry as Archer was, if not moreso. If he had moved even just slightly faster! If he had been more cautious. He could have forced Alfred to stay with one of the guilds. He could have left protection there or gone himself. It was the closest to an emotional outburst he had ever gotten.

It was terrible knowing that he had inadvertently killed (well, almost) his friend. His tone quickly turned somber. "Leave him a letter. He already knows just about everything you did and why. Leave him your words and I'll make sure he gets them. He will hear them because I will carve Arceus's very being to bring him back if I have to." The scrying was irrelevant. Plenty of people could scry. Finding one that could scry well wasn't impossible. Lucinda could scry fairly well. There were bound to be other psychics who could.

Serrin and Desmond, however, were a bit more focused on the scrying aspect. You got the best whenever you could. That was a given. "Tell me where she is. She'll help. There's very little I can't give, Archer." Well, only Tempest didn't know and she was busy freaking out already anyways. It's not like letting her know mattered. "I'm rather persuasive, when I choose to be."

Solaris---Ivan------Neon---Lloyd---Tempest---Archer

Whoo whoo, all aboard the crazy train. Tempest didn't give a damn anymore. Too much drama going on.
Whoever this Archer guy was, she didn't care, he was just complicating things even more.
The Eevee narrowed his eyes, all prepared to go on a rant of his own, but instead turned to Serrin with a very calm expression.
"Her name is Aire. She owns a bar out in the boundary lands somewhere, but she usually hangs out at the Hot Springs every so often. Best chance to find her. Don't piss her off and for the love of Arceus...don't assume anything with her. She'll kill you."Well, this was starting to sound like a violent encounter.
"Arceus, how do you know this woman then?" Neon asked, somewhat shocked Archer had friends...less shocked they were assholes like him.
The Eevee frowned, "Chance meeting some 35 or so years ago. She hates my guts or I'd have went ahead and asked her for you."
Tempest is continuing to ignore the situational drama, only pausing to flinch as people started shouting.
Solaris is derping on the floor outside, Archer's really mean and stuff.
"If there's nothing left for me to do I'll be fading away into oblivion alone." The comment was phrased as though he'd be leaving to get tea or something.

Tolin & Desmond & Serrin

"We'll be back shortly." It wouldn't take long at all. Even if she wasn't at the hot springs, tracking down her bar wouldn't take very long with the combined knowledge and power of both Serrin and Desmond. He hopped up onto Desmond, swinging himself around with his vines. "Let's go."

And then Desmond was gone, leaving only Tolin.

"Only your words, Archer." Archer would have to run away if he wanted to avoid leaving Alfred a message. "He wanted to meet you before you disappeared. He wanted to apologize for what he had done. He thought that if he had only realized sooner, he might have been able to save you from your fate. If not for your own comfort, then for his. Leave him a letter." It was something of a special cord for him. He had never gotten to apologize to his own father. His own father who had, in many ways, mirrored Archer.

Vito---&---Rev

Just then, Vito walked into the room.
He was wiping his claws with a towel.
The old Weavile's gaze seemed to be avoiding Lloyd.
"Listen up, you all. We may need to start clearing a little space, those attack left many Pokemon injured. We're sending out a search party for the missing Guild Masters as we speak."
He then looked around at the other Pokemon, knowing they had other worries.
"I took it upon myself to oversee Alfred's care. I'm convinced he'll survive, but we wont know if he'll be 'okay' until later on."
The door creaked open again, and another body showed itself.
"I found the elites from the Ice Guild. The Guild Master and her mate are alive, but shaken up. The Zangoose and the Rampardos are dead..."
Rev's eyes shot right over to Lloyd right after he finished speaking.
Crouching down, he pressed his claws to the ground.
"Lloyd Tallahassee... Friend or foe?"

"I'm friend, dammit! Friend! Like I chose this, seriously!" The orange Weavile snorted and marched out the room in a fury.
Ignoring his tantrum, Neon glanced at the older Weavile and gave a faint sigh of relief.
"That's...that's good news, yes? Excellent, I think I'll go and join Serrin and Desmond in their search. What species if your friend, Archer? It'll be easier to find her."
The Eevee, still sulking, narrowed his eyes. "...trust me. You'll know her when you see her." Shrugging the cryptic answer off, the Espeon vanished in a teleport and the moody little normal type directed his attention back to Tolin.
"Fine. If it'll get you off my back. I'm leaving now, I'll drop it off at your team room or whatever. Don't expect to see me again though..."Considering he was quite nearly invisible at this point as the ties that kept him bound to this world began to fade.
He turned and trotted out the door just as Solaris got back to his feet in time to here Rev's previous statement.
"Dead...?" He muttered, shaking his head. "...If we'd known about a threat before we could have prevented this!" His voice still quivered with anger at the Scyther and most the statement was directed at him.
Solaris just didn't known when to stop, and naturally the big, scary legendary wasn't there so he could continue his ranting.
Tempest kept up her scanning of the computer, arching a brow on occasion at something she heard in the covnersation but refusing to get involved until the Espeon's final statement.
"You know what, Solaris? We get it. Tolin ******** up, everyone does at some point in their life. You do it quite frequently if I recall. So lay off and focus on the problem at hand, dammit." The Pikachu spun around in her chair to address him before pointing to the screen with a smirk.
"Besides, you have no right to address the advisor of Rebirth in that manner. He outranks you now."
"...WHAT?!"
The Pikachu tapped the screen again, the revised guild charter was on full display, although in segments according to guilds.
The first being Rebirth, naturally with Tolin's name in the once empty place where the advisor was.

Tolin

Tolin largely ignored Archer's statement. It was about what he had expected from him. His mind was on Tempest's statement. His eyes blinked a few times before opening wide with surprise. He took a few steps towards the screen in order to read it properly. He was the advisor for Rebirth...? Well, that was... interesting. It was probably meant for after everything was done with, but... Wow.

His mind kept trying to process it all even as he spoke. "No, it was the only option. If we had told you, there wouldn't be a single one of us alive. They knew what I was trying to do, but they chose to ignore me because I wasn't viewed as a threat. If the guilds had been gathered together as one entity, we would have stood a chance against a few. But if we gathered like that, it wouldn't be one or two that would come for us. They all would have." He stepped back from the PC and turned to face Solaris. "What we lost today was a fraction of what would have happened. If the guilds had gathered together, everyone in this room would be dead. And I will grieve for the ones we lost. The moment I have even a spare minute, I will grieve for the friends and colleagues I lost. But I don't. If we have this map, I don't even have a second to spare."

If the guilds had been told, they would have been razed. Everyone would have died. There wouldn't have been the slightest chance to fight back or regroup; it all would have ended. "The only reason I'm even talking to you, Solaris, is because now we stand a chance. If Alfred's contacts join us, we might be able to do something. And unfortunately, with the attacks that just happened the guild's cooperation might be necessary rather than problematic." If they had just let it be as it was before, they could have used guerilla warfare. The legendaries were the cannon and the guilds were the fodder. Unfortunately, that was no longer viable, and with the map the help might actually do something.

Not that he intended to tell Solaris anything beyond "there's bad guys". God knows Solaris was too stupid to keep his mouth shut.

Vito---&---Rev

"I'll leave you all be..." Vito said gruffly after Lloyd had left.
"If you want my insight on anything, please come find me."
With that, the old Weavile spun on his heels and left as well.
Rev stood up from his previous stance, although still not entirely convinced of Lloyd's standing in all this.
"Master Tolin, if I may put forward my thoughts?" He said, stepping forward.
The Zangoose didn't really wait for any permission, though.
"Our losses today were heavy, but this was no victory. This was nowhere even near a successful defense, in my opinion. The only reason we are alive was because they spared us after achieving their goals. We need more than just a large group of well-trained fighters. You Legendaries have proved useful, but for how long?"
Rev glanced over at Ivan, clearing his throat.
"I do not doubt your skills, Master Raikou, but I've seen what these enemies of ours are capable of. More than any of you, I'd like to think. Never have I seen anyone stand against these Pokemon for too long, much less defeat them. I do hope you have, or are devising, a plan for all this, Master Tolin. I offer my own services and insights whenever you feel them needed, if you'll receive them."

"What makes you such an expert on them anyways?" Solaris cut in and it was actually a valid question.
Tempest nodded her own assent to it before returning to the computer to scan through the rest of the revised charter.
While Solaris starred intently at Rev, so intent he fell over a few times, the Pikachu focused on seeing just what it was that Alfred had changed and nearly fell from her chair when she reached the Roaring Thunder section.
"No way."
The Espeon turned, "What? What is it? Did he put Mr. Rawrz in charge of the Guild of Blazing Fire or something else that's retarded?!"
"Me?"
The Pikachu pointed, her name was in place of Banquo's as Guildmaster and his had been moved to leader of a secondary team.
Tempest clapped her paws over her mouth, suddenly overwhelmend.
She was genetically incapable of evolving into a Raichu. Her body rejected thunderstones or any alternative means.
That the rule had been cut entirely to give her the position made the electric rodent squeak in surprise.
