Matt followed her, moving his hat down over his eyes. He was slightly sad still about Marchy.

Tao took Alex's hand, smiling and followed obediently. He watched her actions, and her frown at the tree. That made him wonder.

Alex looked at Matt, then at Tao and smiled, "We don't have to walk much to get there." she said as she led them down a path near the front of the house.

Tao kept quiet, just nodding as she spoke. When they came to the mall he looked around. "It's like Marchy's place, only bigger.",he noted.

"Hmm, certainly," Ace said, cheerily. He stepped into the tea shop, immediately getting on his knees.
"Finally!" he shouted, sighing rather loudly. He withdrew his handkerchief from his pocket and immediately began to polish his shoes clean.
"Much better,", he said, standing and observing the shininess of his shoes. I can practically see myself on them." He dusted the knees of his pants off and stood straight, looking Marcie in the eyes.
"My apologies," he said, doing his best to stand formal. "You asked about a straight answer. Well," he put his finger to his lip. "I'd say a straight answer is one that lacks ambiguity, an answer that is straight to the point. Hmmm . . . Well, if that girl isn't in Wonderland anymore, I'd have to try even harder to find her or risk trouble with the Jack of Spades, or worse the Red Queen herself . . . even though I've never spoken to the Red Queen. If she is beyond the Looking Glass, I'm in even more trouble, since I can't get passed its barrier. I believe one of the Suits is looking for a way to get inside . . ."

Marcie served the Jasmine tea in the porcelaine cups and sweeted it carfully, two spoons of honey for her, and as much sugar as the tea could take before it stoped disolving for the Ace "I am afraid you migth not get much of a 'straigth' answer here at wonderland, and how do you plan on finding someone that, for the looks of it, you don't even know, i haven't heard a description of the girl you are searching for, for all that i know i could be the girl myself" Marcie finished handing Ace his tea and taking a sip of hers.

"Hmm, yes I must agree with you," Ace replied, taking the sugar-filled cup from Marcie. "It is still frustrating when you have been tasked with seeking out someone and not knowing where to find her." He sighed, putting the cup to his lips and crunching on undissolved sugar.
"And, my sources tell me that this girl is short, appearing to be about fourteen to sixteen years old . . . dark hair . . . large blue eyes . . . porcelain skin . . . and recently I heard she has been spotted with the Cheshire Cat. Geez, I needed to speak with him too . . ." Ace chewed up more sugar, crossing his legs and sinking into his seat.

Marcie chuckled "Well that would be difficult, I am afraid Cheshire is unavailable at the moment and who know when he'll come back" she sited next to ace and sipped on her tea.

Ace sighed, then poured more mushy sugar in his mouth.
"Like I said earlier," he said through a mouthful of sugar, "This girl obviously holds dear meaning to you." He sat his cup back down on its saucer. "Tell me," he said, licking his lips. "Tell me more about the value of this girl."
Ace could tell that the question had vexed Marcie, even slightly. He laughed. "There's no way that her value to you will lead me closer to her."
"So, this is the Looking Glass," Two said, staring in amazement.
"Yes, this is the portal to another world beyond our knowledge," Ace of Hearts responded, putting a finger to the bridge of his glasses. "For some unknown reason, we haven't been able to cross through it."
Two turned to the Heart. "What do you mean? Do you just slam into the glass?"
Ace of Hearts smirked, pushing his glasses up his nose. "You have a lot to learn, Two," he chuckled, earning another icy glare from the Two of Spades.
"My mission . . . well, our mission is to retrieve the ring that allows passage into the Looking Glass."
"And what meaning does that hold for us? Two snickered. "What business do we have going in the world of other people?"
"Silly Two," Ace of Hearts, responded. "It's merely for discovery, Two. What if there's something interesting beyond that point? What if the girl infiltrator is there? The Ace of Spades will be able to get in and fulfill his mission."
Two stared at his feet, his stomach twisting at the mention of the Ace of Spades. He lifted his head, locking gazes with the Ace of Hearts. "Show me what happens if we were to step into the Looking Glass."

Marcie smiled quizically "Dear? why would i hold dear a person i just met? Don't get me wrong Ace but i am not as open as i seem, if you find the girl i won't stop you from taking her but i am afraid i do not feel any inclination toward helping the Suits" she took another sip of her tea and continued "No matter how cute they migth be"
