xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxSoraxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxFinally back!!! I can rest up, hang with my friends and...User Image

Sora took a shocked step back when Xion said she could leave. He waved his hands in front of him, exasperated, shaking his head.
"No, you don't need to do that!" he exclaimed, feeling guilty that he was making her feel so unwanted. "I'm just hungry. I guess that's my problem." Maybe that was the reason he was acting up and having random memories. Perhaps this girl was just a coincidence. To test that theory, he took the food that arrived for him and Kairi, giving the man the munny and a "Thanks".

Sora led the two girls to a free bench. He took a moment to look around and saw a large group of people standing around a field. He saw the poster that hung on the sign and knew immediately that Struggle Matches had finally come to the Destiny Islands. He smiled to himself, having recently been reminded that he was the champ of that sport in a different world. It would be neat to have that title in two worlds, but today was his day with Kairi. None of that fighting stuff. He got enough of that on a normal day. He turned to Kairi as he handed her her food.
"I'm really sorry..." he said again. "If you don't want it, I'll go get you something else." He looked over to Xion. "Oh, I could get you something too, if you're hungry." He still felt bad for his initial reaction to her. "So, uh, I haven't seen you around school. Do you go to Destiny High?"

Kairi

Princess of Heart

Kairi watched as Sora finally found some munny. As he took his hand out of one of the pouches, his glove caught on some kind of trophy and it popped out a little. The brunette pushed it back into the pouch, telling her that that was an example of what he had in there. "Ah" the crimsonette giggled, "I see you did lots on your adventures."

That was when the Princess heard laughter behind them. Had someone else been watching Keybearer as well? Sora turned around, and Kairi did the same. She turned around and stared in surprise as she found a dark haired girl that looked a lot herself and Naminé, only younger. Sora seemed to somehow recongized her, but didn't know her since he asked who she was in a tone unlike his normal one. The ravenette looked a Kairi then back to Sora, and answered that she was Xion. The red head slightly noticed that the younger girl sounded kind of similar to herself. If Kairi didn't know better, she would have thought Xion was her Nobody because of all their similarities.

The Keyblade Master awkwardly told the ravenette it was nice to meet her, and introduced himself. Kairi did the same. "Hi Xion. It's nice to meet you. My name's Kairi," the crimsonette smiled, though she felt kind of bizarre on the inside, like she was meeting a long lost twin or something. The guy behind the sub booth called for the next person, and Sora went up and quickly ordered for them. The brunette then suddenly exclaimed and apologized to Kairi for zoning out, and forgetting to ask what she wanted. "Oh that's okay Sora. What you ordered for me is perfectly fine," the Princess said with a smile.

Xion then suggested that maybe she should leave. Sora told her there was no need to do that, and Kairi agreed. "He's right. You don't need to go. Stay and talk with us for a bit," she said. Though things seemed a little odd, Kairi didn't want the girl to feel unwanted. The man behind the counter gave Sora the food, and then the brunette lead the two girls to a free bench to sit. The crimsonette took the food Sora handed to her and thanked him. He apologized again for not asking what she wanted, saying if she didn't want it he'd get her something else. "It's okay Sora, really. You got me exactly what I wanted. Turkey, my favorite. So don't worry about it. And thank you, " Kairi grinned trying to reassure Sora that it really was fine. The Princess unwrapped her sub and took a bite as she listened to Sora ask Xion if she wanted something to eat. He also asked Xion if she was attending Destiny High since they hadn't seen her around.

We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend.

Xion smiled softly at Kairi. She was nice, but the ravenette already knew that. Then Xion stared at Sora when he shook his head, telling her it was all right to stay. She couldn't help but feel better about the situation at hand. Sora and Kairi wanted her around. How nice, she followed the two to the bench and sat down beside Sora while Kairi assured him that the meal purchased for her was fine.

"No, I'm fine," the younger girl replied to Sora question. She wasn't hungry. Xion shook her head. She hadn't been to the school and she didn't know if she would. She'd just woken up today here, for whatever the reason. That was still a mystery to the replica.

Sora smiled warmly at Kairi as she reassured him. He was really lucky to have such a great friend. He watched as she started eating, giving him 100% reason to believe that everything was okay. He heard Xion's quiet voice and tuned to her. Well, if she wasn't hungry, that was fine. He was. He unwrapped his hoagie and took a large bite as Xion shook her head to his school question. She didn't say anything more about it, so he guessed that she was homeschooled or something. He wasn't paying attention to how he was eating and part of the hoagie slipped out of the bun and plopped in his lap.
"Drfnf," he mumbled. He put his sub down and scooted the contents out of his lap and onto the ground. Leave it to him to be messy.

There was an awkward silence that followed. Maybe it was only awkward to Sora, because he and Kairi were eating, so there was nothing they could say. But it still felt awkward to him. Maybe it felt awkward because of Xion again. He didn't understand why she made him feel so strange. Maybe it was because he felt like he should know her. That had to be because he reminded him so much of Kairi. He wondered where she'd come from and who she was here with. Would he suddenly come across a black haired, younger version of himself? That thought was ridiculous and he pushed it aside.
"So Xion, are you here with anyone?" he asked casually. "'Cause Kairi and I were going to do some rides and if you and whoever's with you want to come, you can." Why had he said that!? This was supposed to be his and Kairi's day together! But he couldn't just push the girl away. Not when so much mystery shrouded her.

Xion just sat there now, staring at the crowds that walked past. She wondered briefly if Riku was looking for her yet. She heard Sora making a weird noise and looked over at him as he put his sub down at brushed a mess of food from his lap. She laughed. He was like Roxas after all. She was settling in because he felt so much like the Nobody boy she had been so fond of before disappearing. Sora spoke again and her head shook in response.

"No. I saw Riku earlier, but he didn't seem happy to see me at all," she explained. "I saw Axel too but...that didn't go well," she added. She was sadden by the new memory of her old friend not having a clue of who she was. That had hurt. She looked back at him when he told her she could stay with them. She smiled and tilted her head to one side as she thanked him. She looked a lot like Kairi then from when she was younger.

Sora swallowed hard and fast as the name Riku came from Xion's mouth. So did he know her? If so, how? And why hadn't he mentioned her? She seemed saddened by naming both him and Axel, and he wondered if Riku had given her a hard time. He seemed to do that a lot, especially to suspicious people. Xion was definitely suspicious with her Kairi-like appearance. But she wasn't bad, he could tell. She must've gotten the Angry Riku instead of the Normal Riku. Which was more-or-less the same Riku, although one was slightly more irritable than the other.
"You know Riku?" he finally asked. He figured it'd be best to ask before asking the silvernette himself. Get both sides of the story first.

Xion laughed and Sora cocked his head in confusion. Why did she look so very much like Kairi. His vision blacked out, but he made no noise. He didn't want to alarm the two girls, so he just kept still.

"That's it! The light from our hearts broke through the darkness. I saw that light. I think that's what saved me." His vision was blurry in his mind's eye, but he could see the Secret Waterway in Traverse Town, and could see himself and Kairi when they were 14. It was as if he was seeing it from a distance, though.
"No matter how deep the darkness, a light shines within," his younger self was saying. "I guess it's more than just a fairy tale."
"Well, let's go!" the young Kairi cried.
"You can't go!"
"Why not?"
"Because it's... way too dangerous!"
"Come on, Sora. We made it this far by sticking together. You can't go alone."
"Kairi, even if we're apart, we're not alone anymore, right?"
"I can't help?"
"You'd kind of be in my way..." The young Kairi smiled, tilting her head to one side and giving a quiet giggle.
"Okay. You win." Just then, Sora's vision returned to normal, and there was Xion, looking exactly like Kairi just had.
"Whoa. That was weird," he mumbled, hoping the two girls didn't hear him. He wondered if something like this had just happened to Kairi or the ravenette. Or was it just him?

She nodded slowly. He probably didn't know that and probably didn't eed to. it would add a lot more unneeded complications for now. Xion watched as Sora cocked his head. He was still for a bit before his lips moved. She didn't catch the words that went with it though. "Sora, are you...okay?" she asked. She had a bad feeling that she was effecting him so she was going to have to slip away if she could before Riku or Naminé found her and caused a scene.

Sora raised his eyebrows at Xion as she asked if he was okay. So, apparently, none of this affected her. Then it just had to be a strange coincidence. He'd let his suspicions rest for a while then. He smiled brightly at the ravenette and gave a nod.
"Yep, I'm fine," he replied. He remembered then that she'd shook her head at his question about Riku. She didn't look like she wanted to talk about it, so he didn't press the subject.

With a sigh, he picked up his hoagie again and took a couple more bites. At this rate, the brunette would have it finished really soon. He looked around the festival again. There sure was a lot to do. He glanced at Kairi as she ate and grinned. She was no where near as messy as he was. His face reddened slightly, realizing again how much food he had all over his face and lap. Hurriedly, he put his sub down and wiped off his mouth with a paper napkin, then brushed any remaining food off his clothes.
"So, what are we gonna do next?" he asked, not really sure if the question was aimed at Kairi or Xion. "I think we decided on a ride earlier, but which one? There's a bunch to choose from."

Kairi

Princess of Heart

Kairi continued to eat while Xion quietly told them that she wasn't hungry, and that she didn't go to Destiny High. Sora began eating as well but wasn't quite paying attention to how he was eating. Just as the crimsonette had taken a big bite of her sub, part of Sora's slipped out of the bun and plopped into his lap. He mumbled his dismay, and Kairi began laughing. But since her mouth was full of food, she almost choked on it so her laughing became coughing. After a moment or so she was was fine, though her cheeks were pink from embarrassment. The red head went back to eating her sandwich trying to pretend like nothing had happened.

Things were quite for a bit while they ate, and it felt a little uncomfortable to the Princess. She was glad when the brunette spoke up and asked if Xion was here with anyone, and that they and herself could join them on some rides. "Yeah," Kairi smiled in agreement, "You're welcome to hang out with us." The crimsonette had wanted it to just be her and the Keybearer, but Xion looked like she needed a friend right now. Plus Kairi was curious to find out why they looked so much alike.

The ravenette replied that she wasn't with anyone, but she had seen Riku and Axel. That bit of into surprised Kairi. If she knew Riku and Axel, how come the boys had never mentioned her before? Now the red head was even more curious. While she was thinking things over Kairi saw Sora tilt his head in confusion. Things certainly were confusing at the moment. Like Sora's little episode before, and now suddenly meeting Xion. The Princess frowned down at her food lost in thought. She looked back up though when she thought she heard the brunette say something. Maybe she was hearing things. A second later though the ravenette asked Sora if he was okay. So maybe he had said something? But the Keyblade Master, gave his usual grin and told Xion he was fine. Kairi wanted to believe he was fine, but couldn't. She didn't let it show though. She just continued to smile, and went back to eating her sub.

Once she had finished eating, Kairi wiped her face and hands with a paper napkin then got up to throw it and the sub wrapper into the trash. She sat back down next to Xion and Sora, and then the brunette asked what they were going to do next. He knew they had chosen a ride, but not sure which one. "Yeah that's right. It's your turn to choose something and you said earlier that you wanted to go on a ride," the crimsonette replied. She smiled then laughed, "There are a bunch to choose from. It's your turn so choose whatever one you want and we'll go on it." Kairi quickly turned to Xion and asked, "If that's okay with you? And then you can choose the next thing we do after that." While she waited for the other two to respond Kairi reached into her pouch. After a moment of feeling around inside, she pulled out a small tin of mints. She opened the tin and popped a mint into her mouth. "Do either of you want one" the Princess offered, holding up the tin so Sora and Xion could take one if they wanted to.

Xion shook her head at Kairi. "No, it's fine. I'm just happy to tag along," she explained. She didn't need to pick rides or games to do. She'd let Kairi and Sora choose. Besides, she felt bad enough about intruding on their date. She stared at them. Of all the memories she had seen of them, she knew this was where they'd end up. She ingored Kairi's offer of mints by asking her own question, "So you two are...together?" she asked. They looked like it, but the awkwardness of them told another story. Maybe they just started dating.

(i'm finally back. computer crashed and my parents finally bought a brand new one yesterday.)

Lakayna watched in confusion as Xion suddenly rushed past in pursuit of Sora. The young dragon-girl scratched lightly at the thin line of scales running up the side of her face. Her eyes thought, were distant and cloudy. Zion had brushed lightly against Lakayna, and the young girl had been caught off gaurd by it. Lakayna had turned off the ability earlier; something she'd found she could do since she'd become a dragon and returned to her human form. Yet for some reason, she'd allowed it to turn back on.

The dragon-girl was now baring witness to a shorter past of a girl who was never meant to exist; a girl who is a Nobody, but was really only a puppet. Yet it wasn't just Xion's past that Lakayna was witnessing, but that of Sora's as well. Why was that? Lakayna learned what Xion's connection was to Sora through the girl's memories, but Lakayna was seeing the same memory that Sora himself had suddenly remembered. Lakayna shook her head, her vision clearing as she willed it to. "So strange..." she muttered.

Sora had finally finished his hoagie, so he got up momentarily and threw away his garbage. He came back to the sound of Kairi offering mints. He smiled weakly, knowing his breath was probably terrible. Even if he was just with friends, he didn't want to make them pass out.
"Sure, I'll have one," he said, taking a mint and popping it in her mouth. He grinned inwardly. He could already tell his breath was better. Of course Kairi would have enough foresight to think to bring mints.

Sora was starting to think about which ride to choose. He thought better than to pick a rollar coaster, seeing as they'd just eaten. And it had to be a ride that they'd all enjoy. He was scanning the surrounding area when Xion spoke up. As she asked if they were together, the brunette almost launched his mint and he coughed and blushed.
"Wha- No! No, no... Uhm, no," he exclaimed, his face burning. "We're just friends, right?" As if to prove his point, he put his arm around Kairi in that friendly manner and smiled as he rocked her a bit like he would Riku. Except Riku would probably punch him. He released his friend and decided quickly to change subjects.
"So rides... Um... How 'bout that one?" He pointed to the haunted house. It was a mild coaster, but filled with spooky stuff. It was the first thing he'd seen. He looked at the other two girls inquiringly, wondering if they would agree. He could still feel the blood running through his cheeks and really hoped that subsided before long.

Kairi

Princess of Heart

The Princess smiled at Xion when she said she was fine with whatever they decided to do. "Okay great!" Kairi beamed happily. The ravenette had declined her offer, but Sora took a mint. The crimsonette put the lid back on the tin and went to put it back in her pouch, but dropped it. The reason why she dropped it was because Xion had just suddenly asked if she and Sora were together. The Princess turned pink, and quickly bent down to pick up the tin of mints hoping that no one saw her face. Beside her, Kairi heard Sora cough and begin to stutter an explanation. The Keybearer told the ravenette that they weren't, that they were just friends. Kairi stood up, pocketed her mints, then turned and nodded in agreement. "Uh... Yeah.. R-Right! That's right. Just friends," Kairi stammered and smiled. The brunette put his arm around her in a friendly way and rocked her like he would with Riku. The red head put her arm him as well and smiled as he did so. Sora then released her and quickly changed the subject.

Kairi was glad for the subject change. She continued to smile, but inside she wanted to die. Even though it was true that they were just friends, hearing Sora say those words just made it seem really true. She wanted to say they were together, but couldn't because she had yet to tell Sora how she felt. And she wasn't ready confess her love yet, especially with Xion there. But what was killing Kairi was wether or not what Sora said was true. Had he said they were just friends because that's really what they were, or had he said that because he wasn't ready to reveal his true feelings. The crimsonette tried her best to push those thoughts down and focus again. She could still feel her cheeks burning slightly, and hoped that it wasn't too noticeable.

Sora had pointed to a ride and asked if they wanted to go on it. Kairi's gaze followed to where the Keyblade Master's finger was pointing. It was a haunted house, a mild roller coaster filled with spooky things. The red head wasn't too big on spooky stuff, but she had said she'd do whatever Sora wanted to do. And as long as she was with Sora, she knew she'd have fun. The Princess smiled then laughed, "Okay. Hopefully it's not too scary." Kairi looked at Xion and asked with a smile, "Sound good to you?"

We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend.
