What school do you go to? My Jesuit school... is kind of liberal. We're taught that our lives are spoiled and easy and we are the 1% that lives in a bubble, shielded from the reality of pain and suffering that is the real world. sad

We just read Siddartha and learned the basics of Buddhism. Now we're using those principles to find out "True Self". The class is Christian Relations.

*Gives them cookies* For some reason when I was a kid my mother didn't send me to the catholic church here in town.... I got sent to the lutherian one. Now that's a downer.

Lol. Aaww first grade, Sister Rita Marie. "If you live a life of self-sacrifice, God will forgive you for basically any sins -- except mortal sins." I was sacrificing silly things like not scratching an itch or not stepping on cracks... if there was even the slightest chance it might break my mother's back. What can a 6 year old sacrifice anyway? sweatdrop

Geeze! Remind me never to attend where you go! I'm lutheran, but never went to a lutheran school. The lutheran school in the area I grew up in only went to 8th grade though, so the students all joined the regular highschool upon entering 9th grade. ..... I'd honestly be stunned if any of them had ever heard anything like that. (they were all stuck-up snobs who were about as bad as catholic school girls are rhumored to be!)
