Richard smiled distantly, looking down. "Our Dream..." He looked back up, getting Damian's eye contact He smiled wider, shaking his head. "I ran into our friends Vi and Deilita and- Well to make a long story short, Vidori has a home on Druis she doesn't think she'll be returning to for quite some time. But she didn't want to just let it go to pot or give it to someone who wouldn't take care of it so... She offered it to Lorey and I..." He smiled, just in disbelief himself. "Its on the country side like we want, with everything we've been talking about...Just for us..." He stood, feeling his excitement building. "Lorey was so worried about saving up, and so was I but It's here! And its ready adn it's ours!" His eyes were trying to fight tearing up.

"She just... gave it to you?" Damian was incredibly impressed. That was something he would do, not some stranger... but Vi didn't sound like a stranger, not to Richard. "And Druis? I've been there, if only a few times in my youth. Lorey will be so much better once she gets that clean air. She might be sleepy for a good time, because of the oxygen, but yes... that is excellent."

Richard nodded, looking distant again. "I hope she'll be happy...with me I mean..." he said softly. "I didn't think we could make this happen, at least so fast...but...." he jsut smiled to Damian. "I love her...and She deserves this home and all the happiness I can try to give her..." Richard seemed calm yet jittery as if he were getting married that moment.

"I think... that Lorey thinks in very small dreams, and that this house will be the greatest surprise of her life. What you do after that will be up to you. But if you ever need help paying off something, just give me a ring... You know I'll always be of service." Damian wasn't sure when they were moving into the house, whether that was when they had enough saved or right away.

Richard paused a moment, nodding though in agreement. He turned to Damian, cocking his head. "I...I wanted to thank you mate." He cleared his throat, obviously uncomfortable. "I mean...for all you've done for us. If anything I want to pay you back for all you've done for Lroey alone, and also how you've helped me..." He rubbed the back of his neck. "You've really turned around Damian...whether you want to put Raquel as the cause of that or the fact you jsut wanted to change, either way i dont care...But You've done a good job...keeping our little family happy and healthy and together..." He felt strange complimenting Damian Centurion, ecspecially when he tried to kill him on his first meeting, but... he dared say he deserved it.

It felt very rewarding to hear that coming from Richard. This was the man, after all, who had waltzed in at the perfect moment when Lorey needed someone most. She had cried because he had wanted her gone. His guards had been too rough with her, and Richard had been the one to take her and make her beautiful again. If anything, Damian should have been thanking him. Instead, he returned the awkward speech.
"Well... I won't deny that how I treated Lorey was very wrong. I didn't mean for her to get hurt that day. I suppose I hated you for just being so lucky to get her affections... I still am not sure if I truly loved her or not." Hopefully Richard wouldn't hold that against him too badly. The night with the gun especially troubled him, because no one had really said what he had done.

Richard smiled relaxed. "It's alright...we all have things we're sorry for..." Richard new he himself had many things in his life that he regretted, but only chose to mention one recent. "I feel horrid for almost killing Raquel..." He said softly. "When I walked in...and she was over Lorey, covered in blood...I ...I almost lost it." He shook his head, looking away. "And when she brought sveriana here and the truth about Rose was revealed..." His voice trailed off. "It wasn't Raquel's fault. She didn't kill my Rose like I had thought...She wanted to bring Sveriana here as proof....as well as to save you. I saw that...and...And I forgive her for putting us in danger...I jsut hope she and you forgive me..." He didn't look at Damian, only feeling this apology was somewhat needed. He could have kept it to himself longer but he felt getting everything out in the open was best.

"Ah." Damian looked at Richard with slight disgust and confusion. "I was unconscious for that bit. Didn't know about it until now, actually... But you're sorry for it and I suppose it's alright, since it happened what seems like ages ago." Not so much ages, but he could overlook it.
"I suppose I owe you an apology for whatever happened that night that I was drunk. I know I had the gun out, Richard. And that time I was drunk again and hit you right in the jaw. That was brilliant, but I shouldn't have done it."

"Let's just say we're even there...You tried to take two lives that night...though I will say I can forgive you only because one was noy Lorey's..." He sighed, leaning against the wall.

Damian nodded. He could only guess that the lives were his own and Richard's, and just left it at that. "Well, when will you two leave to see the house? Hopefully soon." It would also be wonderful to have real alone time with Raquel, to know what it might be like living with her one on one.

"It's really up to Lorey...I have to wait till she gets home and tells me when she can take off to see..." He sighed, thinking about it. "I hope its soon....I only really saw a picture of the house, so I'd like to see if its still in good condition....I was debating just going and fixing it up on my own to surprise her more...but I think she'd be mad if I kept it secret too long, and I think she'd want to have a say in certain things...it is our house...our home....geeze thats nice to say..." He smiled, closing his eyes.

"It's only a home when you make it one, remember." Damian had had many houses in his life, but very few homes. Even this house was taking its time in becoming a home, but he knew if they just stayed there long enough, it would be one in time.
Damian then had a passing thought, a curiosity, that would probably get him smacked, so he worded it gently. "Is Lorey still waiting?"

Richard looked to him, not knowing what he meant till it hit him, spiraling pink all across his stern face. "Yes actually... She said she didn't want to be like her mother... But I want her to wait because I want it to be special for her..." He explained softly. "I'm actually nervous if you can believe that... it's her first time..." His voice trailed off so quietly, but he shot a look up, suddenly embarassed he was sharing this with Damian at all.
"Though we can't all just have fun like you two..." he winked, hoping it would be taken in jest if anything.

"Heh..." It was his turn to rub his neck nervously. Usually this kind of conversation wasn't awkward at all, but with Richard, and about the woman he loved... well, part of him was actually embarrassed. "I think... it is better to wait. Sometimes. We do have 'fun,' as you say, but now... I think she envies you two more than anything. The innocence, the purity Lorey has. I'd keep it." There was his guilt laid bare. If he'd known his lifestyle would put a thorn in his love's heart, he might not have done it at all.

Richard nodded, understanding. He hadn't known Raquel felt that way. It put her in new light in his eyes. "Well...I'm sure she's happier than she could ever be with you. I don't think she'd trade it for the world..." Richard said in complete honesty but felt almsot gay afterwards. He cleared his throat, rubbing his neck furiously. "Um well I'm going...to uh- eat....so....um..." He laughed raising a hand. "Thanks mate..." He smiled a genuine Richard smile as he backed his way towards the kiytchen.
