Joey chuckled contently. "No sense whatsoever.... but then again, you're speaking to the man who once debated the existence of tomorrow...don't ask about that" he said with a grin.

She couldn't help it but for what seemed like the first time in ages she laughed. "Don't worry so did I." she answered and then thought of a way to explain it even though it seemed like a waste of time to her. "See...er...kind people are tracked down so that they can help others and then when the help works they are clung to. But then when kind people need help...who do they go to? Like I mean...when the only people they know are clingers basically." she bit her lip and then muttered. "I-I really don't make any sense but I don't know how to explain it. Trust me my minds a total mystery to me as well but. Erm...Just forget I brought it up." She said chuckling again.

Joey smiled. "I understand it now...you're saying that I scratch your back, but who's left to scratch mine" he said, putting the concept into his own words. "Well, nonsensical as your logic may be, it's actually deeply rooted in truth. but you know what I think? I think that the so called clingers cling even to the nice person's personality, and that person's good deeds will reward them later on" he said with a smile of optimism.

Io soffro con il gatto nero.
Simon boredly awaited for people to arrive. He'd be due for vomiting any time soon from drinking scotch, and having that damned pill in his system.

She was surprised that he actually got her. Not even her master gets her at times! "Yes that's it!" she answered and smiled at his optimism. "That's actually a better way to look at it though..."

Joey shrugged. "I always try to keep an open mind...hell, if I didn't; I'd have snapped by now" he said with a smile.
((oh my god I am blocked so bad!))

((lol! Don't worry Neji-nii! it's okay!)) She smiled back. "Good for you." she answered back and then let out a shakey breath. "Joseph...right? Why are you being so...accepting? I told you flat out I was a horrible person and you haven't even..." she bit back her lip choosing her words carefully. "Abandoned me."

Joey smiled, realizing that being abandoned must have been a pattern in her life so far, and maybe that was why she was so surprised. "I believe that everyone deserves a chance. Now I know that may be alien to the hunter's group, but I don't discriminate against the races. Like I said, I only hunt to protect the public" he said softly.

Master this guy gets me she thought. "He doesn't." he answered simply back. She rolled her eyes. You, just don't she hissed and then turned her attention back to Joey. "Can I cling?" she asked him.

Joey took notice of a few tiny details, mostly changes in her behavioral patterns when she seemed preoccupied with something. When she asked if she could cling, he chuckled at the fact that they were still using that reference. "Sure you can cling....just let me rub my feet on the carpet and off we go" he said with a smile, referring to static cling.

Aria wasn't the most educated girl and didn't go to school past kindergarden. So she didn't get the joke. She felt like an idiot and asked, "Er...wh-why would you need to rub your feet on the carpet?" she bit her lip back. "Sorry..." she said apologizing for her, probably obvious, idiocy. "Haha! Oh yes Aria 'He gets you'!" her master said poking his fun at her. But...but I don't get it master why would he need to rub his feet on the carpet? she asked and the put her face in her hands. "I'm sorry." she apologised again. "I'm not smart."
((JUST SO YOU KNOW I DO KNOW WHAT STATIC CLING IS!! THAT BILL NYE VIDEO DID NOT GO TO WASTE MY FRIENDS!!!))

Joey smiled. "I apologize. Well, forget about it" he said as he ducked down and peered into her eyes through her hands. "And I'm sure you're very smart...there's more to being smart than simple knowledge" he said softly, trying to make her feel more comfortable.

She peered back up to him and smiled and sighed in relief. She removed her hands from her face and let her silver eyes show again. "Thank you." she said and then felt her head droop to rest on his shoulder. "But you don't need to use any smarts to follow blood hungry commands by..." she stopped realising her master would punish her if she continued on. "y-your conscience..." she said lying.

Joey noticed the flaw in her voice; a clear indicator that she wasn't being completely honest. "That's not all you are you know...you're not just a blood thirsty machine...." he said softly.

She made a "tch" sound and felt every muscle in her body grow heavy and she noticed every tiny imperfection in herself that stood out against his flawlessness. How would he know? That's all I'm good for. I can't even see the beauty of daylight anymore. All I do is kill to survive and betray...but... he lives a perfect life...so I couldn't expect him to know. she said to herself but her master became as nosey as usual. "Aria you are perfect there isn't anything wrong with killing to live. Blood is everything he just wouldn't know because it's his blood that we drink. Don't let him tell you it's bad to be blood thirsty. That's what you are. That's what your father was." he was trying to be comforting but the thought of her drinking Joey's blood repulsed her and what he said made her head spin. She noticed that she began to lean against him but when she pulled away her wobbly legs wouldn't hold her up. She just ended falling to the ground. "I wish...that I wasn't." she said finally answering him looking away from his eyes.
